Lets re-visit the synopsis:
Saraswathichandra is a poignant love story of two soul mates: Saras and Kumud, who are denied the joy of becoming one by destiny and tradition. Whenever they try to move away from each other, life keeps bringing them together again. Their love story goes through several ups and downs. Eventually Kumud gets married to someone else while Saras, out of unconditional love, decides to take care of her family and fulfil duties as the man in her life.
Isn't this what we are seeing in the show? Saras out of unconditional love is supporting Kumud through this so-called marriage with Pramad. Who have her the strength to stand up for herself? Saras! If Pramad is growing a liking towards Kumud, it is majorly Saras' doing. Till recently I wanted Kumud to hate Saras because of his actions but now he has all my sympathy. He is alone and even if he in pain, he won't show it because his feelings are unimportant to him. Now THAT is an author-backed role to me and that is why the show is called 'Saraswatichandra'. It was, is and always will remain Saras & Kumud's love story. Kumud may act unaffected right now but from where I see it both have kept those feelings hidden somewhere deep in the heart but that is not to say that when one bleeds, the other won't. That connection they will never share with anyone else and that's why it is a story of two soulmates who must keep distance yet are never distant enough.
