Telly actor Neil Bhatt who became popular with the telly show Gulaal feels its not important to learn martial arts for working on TV.
He says, "I acquired the art because I have always been interested in all art forms. But yes fortunately in TV and films, actors are getting involved in martial arts, which is good. I have always enjoyed learning any martial art as in acting you need to play various important;text-decoration:underline !important;color:#0000FF !important">characters and need to be fit. So I would say it's important and good to learn but not imperative."
Neil has also learnt gymnastics for four years and at present is learning Capoeira, which is a Brazilian martial arts form." He says, "And if we talk about fitness then I am a dancer too so it helps in the flexibility factor in martial arts. Dance and marital arts go hand in hand."
