hi guys

i have a couple of questions because i missed most the episodes since the wedding

So why did jalal actually mary jodha if he didnt love her?

And does jalal love ruqaiya or are they like best friends?

Jalal likes Ruq as she is different from the other begums, more smarter and they have been married since they were nine or something so they are like best friends. but Ruq does have feelings for him. 😃

Jalal married Jodha so he could snatch her freedom away, I remember him saying that in one of the episodes. He wants to get rid of her pride something like that lol 😆

The serial has always depicted Ruq and Jalal as best friends since they've been together since they were 8. Here, Jalal is not in love with Ruqaiyya. She is his confidante and his support system though.

He'd heard of Amer's praises and it's princess Jodha's beauty when he was busy capturing the Rajputana kingdoms...

Therefore, once he disguised himself as a Rajput and slipped into Amer to actually see what it was like there...when he sees Jodha going for Ghanghaur yatra in a palanquin procession, he realizes what everyone was on about - i.e. that the princess was mesmerizing indeed!

However, he is also shocked/awed by her courage when he hears her say how she wished the Mughal emperor dead.

In a way, his egoistic self wanted to conquer this very girl who was so beautiful and yet hated him so much!

Things worked out such that an alliance was formed between Amer and Agra and he married her in return for Amer's safety/loyalty...but yes, his main aim was to own, possess & conquer Jodha and her pride...the fact that he's attracted to her has not changed though...its a bit of a love-hate thing he has for Jodha...

She had unadulterated hatred and nothing else for him though! Till a few days back, at least...
