A loss of a dear one is painful!!!
And now it is time for all our readers to send our good wishes and strength to actress Shilpa Shinde, who lost her father yesterday afternoon (30 August 2013).
Her father, Dr Shinde, was 86 year old.
Shilpa was staying with her father in Mumbai and while chatting with us she shared that he was suffering from acute Alzheimer's disease which led to other bodily dysfunctions.
"His condition worsened since the last five months when he stopped taking his medicines and food. I decided to stop working (she left Chidiya Ghar midway) and take care of him," said Shilpa misty eyed.
She continued, "I had been looking after him like a child for the past five months. He kept sharing with me stories when he worked as a judge in High Court. There were times when he wanted to get back to the court. He did not take medicines as he felt there was nothing wrong with him. He wouldn't even eat and if insisted, he would react aggressively. But then, I wanted to give him the best, do all that I could as his daughter."
She also recollects the time when he did not want her to get into acting, "He never wanted me to get into acting but when I insisted he did give me a year's time and I became an actress. I was there with him day and night in the last couple of months and now he is gone."
Shilpa's friends from the industry were present at her father's funeral.
