Is SLB depicting the novel ?

To be very honest, I haven't read the novel and I have been constantly reading the summaries of people who have read it on the forum and it doesn't look like they are depicting the novel anymore. Moreover it looks as if they changed the whole story. Please do share what you feel because i feel i might not be the only one thinking that way! Will wait for some comments and votes on your views! Thanks :)

cant help it, still not pro at recognizing these types of words. Gujarati is good but still struggling with hindi.
