Khan believes to succeed in life you must enjoy learning

Shah Rukh Khan loves his boys and girls that tune in every night to watch him host KBC as he feels the show allows them to learn new things while having fun.

"I would like to tell all the youngsters in the world that it is cool and hip to be smart. I think it's no longer hip to be square. I think it's really cool to know things. One of the main reasons why I took up KBC was because I wanted to children and teenagers to get more involved with knowledge and learning. I wanted them to enjoy themselves and make learning fun for them," says Khan.

SRK believes the way to success in life is having immense knowledge and therefore wants to propagate it amongst youngsters through KBC. "I think the way the world is heading now the main source of one's work will be knowledge. How much knowledge you have and knowledge does not mean of just one particular subject but more like worldly wise knowledge. It's important to understand that you need to enjoy learning.

If you don't enjoy learning there is no way anyone can teach you anything. No teacher... no tutor... no personal guidance and no parent. I think the best thing is to be able to learn while having fun which is the main reason why I make a concerted effort to make KBC a fun thing."




"I don't want it to look like someone is sitting there and asking you strict questions …. I was told one comparison which is not to deride anything but shows where I'm coming from very clearly - it seems that you had a teacher in KBC before this and now the naughtiest kid in the class has taken over - which I think is a the kind of feeling I would like everyone to know. You can be naughty… you can be idiotic as long as you enjoy learning. And I hope youngsters when they see KBC, atleast out of the 15, learn 4-5 new things everyday," adds Shah Rukh.
