Yes Aiysha is his sister where as the other younger girl in the family is his cousin. Aiysha is the one that is getting married. Nikhil's dad is the elder brother (Inder) and his younger brother (sorry can't recall his name off the top of my head as he's only been shown a couple of times) lives there with his son and daughter. Inder's younger brother is divorced and his children live with him and Nikhil and his family.

Anju, from the way she treated her own DIL I was not surprised by her comments at all. Her, her daughter (Barka) and her grand-daughter (Aishya) all seem to have the same values and regards for what they consider uneducated village folks.

What I'd like to know is how her own son (Barka's brother) got married to a village girl???

I truly expected exactly this from the nani (and mom). they would never accept such a traditional bahu from the village, since they are such superficial people only concerned about their ''exclusive' reputation! I knew that something like this would be the next thing and nikhil and/or lajjo will start up against it! I'm actually looking forward to the fireworks tomorrow!
