Thanks for drawing my attention to this post, describing the current state of Saras. Nice post!

I am also bugged with the current track and we have had a lot of discussions reg. it's effect on the lead Saras and Kumud at my posts as well.

Well, sometime back I happened to read an article where it was mentioned that Gautam and certain cast members refused to work when they were not paid dues for nearly 3 months. Do not know how true this info. is. I do not know if this is their way of getting back at him and others. His dialogues and outfits are really being ignored.

I am so frustrated with the current track, that I am willing to give up on Samud ( sorry samud fans). The makers can continue with the DV track at one side, with Kumud and her "Pati sudharo abhiyan". This will keep some TRP aunties engaged. A new fresh romance between Saras and Kusum can keep other viewers entertained. It will be a win win situation for all. At times, I think this will also be the best way for the makers to get back at Kumud for all her touch me not romances and hubby nonsense. Imagine a new jodi like Saras- kusum can infuse a new life into the show, they can give all cool interviews and make appearances in shows and dance together. Moreover, she does not have a hubby with a list of clauses. How long can the makers show Saras living in the BD mansion? The story is just not moving forward.

PS. I had responded earlier, however before I could click post reply there was prob. I had to rethink and type again.

Maybe his clothing becoming worse is a reflection that hes no longer a billionaire with lots of money but now has to forge his own destiny?I think that the turmoil with production houses and wages is the reason Saras is still in the BD mansion and not many other actors are having tracks simply because they don't want to spend money to pay other actors and different locations during this uncertainty!

I don't think we actually need to see any romance right now, either Samud or Saras/Kusum or Kumud/Pramad, I think Kusum should see whats happening between Kumud and Pramad and be determined to get rid of him, then maybe recruit Danny to pretend to become Pramad's best friend since he doesn't want Kumud married to Pramad either. That way Kusum and Danny can have a track, start their own romance and at the same time show Kumud getting her backbone back like in the old days and start fighting back and realizing the mistake she made in rushing into marriage.

On the other side, have Saras move out and begin his journey of getting his self respect back, becoming a businessman and making his own money, becoming proud and determined that no one else deserves to be with Kumud but him. Have him work through his abandonment issues, his issues with his father and that biatch Guman. Now of course we all need romance and to keep the hope alive of Samud so I think through flashbacks, small moments where they think of each other and are reminded of each other, Saras hears the tinkling of her waist thing etc it gives the audience the fix we need to keep investing our time to see an eventual reunion.

That way we have multiple tracks, we see our favorite actors growing and becoming stronger, we see progress and finally we can see the road to them getting back together; it doesn't have to happen immediately, give it some time to freshen things up instead of rona/dhona/sacrifice all the time and then in the next lil while, start giving us our Samud back!

As Saras is Harvard graduate , he will be working as CEO in Multi-National Corporate business house in Mumbai . He will own a penthouse apartment in South Mumbai, overlooking the Arabian Sea . He is suave, sophisticated and bachelor so the girls will go after him .But he will not give any bhav to these girls, as he is still deeply in love with Kumud . Besides his time consuming work as CEO, he will put his energy to social welfare also, specially educating poor children . He hates parties and likes to be by himself . So whenever he has spare time , he will sit on his penthouse terrace and think of Kumud ( no drinks ...he does not take alcohol , he knows what alcoholism has done to Kumud's life ). Spiritually he has risen way above than common man like Pramad .

It is time we got the old Saras back!! The one Kumud fell in love with!!
