Who was Ganga fasting for on Teej?!

Ratan Singh? Or her "future husband"? Or her secret crush/love?

She is divorced now. Single. So praying for what? Fasting for what?

Also, when Jagya gave her the sari, why did she immediately wear it? And doesn't she keep her head covered? So why did she come out without a pallu? With designer sari and flowing tresses? (Sriti was looking good!)

To impress Daaktar sa? Or let's put it more diplomatically, to make him happy by adorning herself with his gift?

What was the point of Ganga's elaborate Teej celebration that too with Daaktar sa around?

(Genuinely asking. That also out of curiosity about what CVs showed. Not bashing any character.)

Ganga was fasting for no one. Even last year, Anandi did it. She didn't do it for Jagya or Shiv.

DS said last year that once a girl keeps this fast have to do it till death. Ganga said the same thing.

The elaborate celebration.. I am not sure. It was to probably start JaG2 love story from J's POV, for him to realize happiness and feelings for her. I didn't like J giving the gift to Ganga. It was not needed at all.

Skep i am going to be honest although i love JAGAN

They could have shown the Teej next year and Jagya giving the sari as a gift after the relationship had advanced a bit

but CVs seem to be in a hurry , nothing else seems the reason .

Regarding the fast and why it was kept , Jagya asked her the same question directly and the rural simplicity of belief impressed him .

She did not keep it for Ratan Singh or Jagya , but bcoz once u start the teej vrat u cannot stop it

and her point was that belief in God is eternal in human life till he or she dies .

Skep, you raised some good points. I too liked Ganga keeping the fast not for a guy but for her beliefs.

The saree giving by Jagya was a little bit much in my opinion as I would have preferred it after Jagya admits his feelings and breaks up with Sanchi. But Ganga looked really pretty. Also I was happy to see the pallu gone. Hopefully, they will show Ganga changing her dress once she starts the nursing course. Now some will argue that what is wrong with her Rajasthani dress. There is nothing wrong, but people usually evolve when they move to a new environment. Changing the dress is part of that evolvement. It doesn't mean that she stops wearing her ghagras. But she can also be shown to wear some other dresses too - like sarees (simple ones) or salwaar kameez or churidaars.

That is one of the problems in how they are depicting Anandi. She has moved to a bigger town and nobody in her family wears pallus. Yet she is constantly wearing one. Why can't they show her in a different dress once in a while. That doesn't take anything from her identity. If anything, tolerating Ira's regressive behavior is making her a different person than she has been shown so far.

Now she is shown trying to please Ira so much that she is letting her insult her mother Sumitra. Granted Sumitra is no goody two shoes, but for Anandi she is a mother figure who does love her a lot. Why would you let your mother in law berate your mother for something that is not her fault anyway.

Ganga is not fasting for the benefit of any man right now.She is just doing it for herself and to strengthen her relationship with God.

I guess this trip to Mangalore is to make him aware of Ganga's suitability as his life partner and the way it is done suits his character - messing up a lot of things and creating storms with his impulsive acts.

But the sari gifting could have waited till next year or till he made a concrete commitment to her and he is free of his other commitments.

Ganga was not fasting for Jagya or Ratan,

She was doing it only out of her belief in god and Bhakti

But I don't why Jagya gifted her a Saree as a Teej gift? Aren't only hubby's are supposed to gift certain things like Saree to a woman? And Ganaga wearing it instantly was just a trick cvs are using so that Jagya will realize his love for her. And one more thing she didn't cover head with pallu in front of Jagya,

I never mind it, but isn't that special consideration of being without pallu on only with your Maika and hubby? And this broad celebration is only a symbolic ways of showing that J and G are the real pair not SaJa. Like how last year they showed Ansh last year. Anandi doing Teej Pooja and fasting with Shuv around her. It's similar the was how they're showing JaGan now, in my POV

Ganga fasted for God and her faith. Fine, if she claims it thus.

Jagya gave her gift. He can do anything.

If Anandi were in Ganga's place she would not have accepted the gift let alone wear it.

I thought all women from village covered their heads. Anandi used to cover her head even after divorce from Jagya.

Ganga has become "maadern" soon.

Engage to someone else. Give gifts on Teej to someone else. Some sacrifice this!

one thing amazes me a lot with all the seriels as well as movies i that the sarees bought or gifted are readily worn by the ladies with the appropriate (matching) blouse immediately. But how come we don't get such ready made blouses along with sarees? We have to get them stitched to our taste and sizes which takes some time atleast.

On a serious note, Jagya could have gifted ganga some thing else, which could have been helpful for her studies. Why such expensive saree?

If he is aware that a lady needs to be gifted on Teej, did he buy some gift for Sanchi as well?

How can he invite his friends to Ganga's house while he could have met them in his hotel room?
