Sonakshi Sinha-Ekta Kapoor to work on Khudgarz sequel?

Putting the debacle of 'Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara!' behind, Ekta Kapoor is looking forward to her future slate of films.
As the season of remakes and sequels is in, we are able to sense another addition to the Kapoor girls' list of productions.
During a promotional event of OUATIM Dobaara!, Sonakshi Sinha suggested to attempt a remake or a sequel of 'Khudgarz,' when she was asked to pick up a movie that had her father in it. Ekta also agreed on it and said she would like to produce the remake since the original which came in 1987 had her father, Jeetendra too.
Khudgarz was a movie based on Jeffrey Archer's novel 'Kane and Abel' to which television mini series of the same title was also made in United States. Jeetendra and Shatrughan Sinha played the lead roles in the 1987 film.
Interestingly, Jeffrey Archer came up with a sequel of this book 'The Prodigal Daughter' which is a story of Florentyna Kane, the daughter of Abel Rosnovski of the first book. And we have the daughter of Hindi cinema's Kane, Shatrughan Sinha ready to be part of the sequel.
So, since the producer and the actor are both ready for it, can we say a sequel to 'Khudgarz' is next on the cards in Balaji Telefilms productions' list...?
