Crime Against Women Must Stop!

Hello friends!

I am Anky & some of you must know me as a most inactive writer here. But today I am here not writing my stories but addressing the most sensitive issue- Rape or sexual harassment against women. I don't know how many readers are from India or have heard off the most horrifying & heinous & dreadful crime that took place in New Delhi on Dec. 16th 2012. The gang-rape scandal that had shook the whole nation. Everybody was shocked would be an understatement. That incident has shaken the existence of humanity. It might be very easy for some people to say that "girls wearing western or so called provocative clothes leads such incidents to take place. This was statement of Delhi CM post the gang rape but guys I live in Delhi so I know in winters no girl would roam in short skirts 😳 Also, do the men who rape need any particular dressing-NO! Blaming dressing or judging a girl by dressing is f**king lame mentality. This shows where our leaders stand.

They made law against rape but the major victim in Delhi case is almost on the verge of getting off without any severe punishment because he was some f**king 6 months short of being a major. Well, isn't it enough that he was capable of raping a girl & being extremely brutal to be punished? Anyways, the Saket district court is still having the hearing even after 9 months have passed still no result.

And, now the latest incident happened in Mumbai- a city which even till yesterday I used to say is the safest city in India for women but I won't be able to say it anymore. The girl- a photo journalist was raped because she didn't take their nonsense & answered back. The male dominance society has this to give to the woman who is responsible for there f**king existence! Gosh, I don't understand what had gotten into Indian men. They are like, "urgent need, so grab a girl & suffice the need."

But this is not the sole reason. The society too is responsible. Govt. is responsible. Law is responsible. And I don't think until we- The people take the matter into our hands we will get justice. Actually, now we just not only want justice but we want an absolute remedy for this crime against women. It is not only sufficient to punish or kill the criminal but it is equally important to remove the crime as well. And for this we all need to come together & fight for our EXISTENCE as it is no more a question of rights. It is about the SURVIVAL of WOMEN in India.

Today, this internet is really a big medium, so I would request all female readers of IF to start a campaign so at least can breathe freely or else what are we going to give our next generation- a nation either women less or a nation filled with animals like all these rapists. We need to join hands in order to protect our soul & existence. We need to fight for us.

IT'S HIGH TIME TO WAKE UP! TODAY THIS IS HAPPENING ON ROADS, BUSES. NEXT TIME IT COULD BE OUR HOMES!!

anky hats off to u dear.. u each word is correct

dress code is main reason , is te most rubbish thing... then wen mens raping small girls, three months back, a man rapes 10 year girl wen she is cuming back from her school, she was wearing school uniform, is any wrong in wearing a school which stimulate him to rape her.. all mens who rape will give damn reason, but wen that thing hapen in their own house will they give tis reasons.. tats te reason i hate gents who only think girls are meant only for s***.. all leaders will talk for hours abt it, all will be only for few days, after tat another issues will cum and their forget tis.. they should bring a law, rapist should encounter at te spot , without any investigation, if te girl proved he is te one, te girl should kill him with her own hands .. te law should be more powerful, mens should even fear to touch their wifes..

First of all thumbs up for the great initiative. I live in Delhi and I know how unsafe is the city for us girls. My friends experienced some problems on our way to office and I had seen them suffering and going through shock as repeatedly they were mentally tortured by public display of nudity by some jerk. We complained to the authorities but they asked us to go rounds in a tainted glass car(which itself is banned) and identify the victim of the authorities of our office and then police will come in the end like movies. All we asked them was to do their regular patrolling during the office hours. This is not just the case of Delhi, Mumbai or cities. There are 1000+ molestations taking place every hour from small-towns to metro cities in India. No law will be effective if the humanity hs died in the mind of people. Our society is handicapped I would say. The men pretend to be traditional or modern in the eyes of the society showing their false pride while the peeping Tom grows secretly. That gives them courage for the inhuman and immoral behavior towards any stranger who pass by on the road. There are only rare chances that the girl would be in his social circle so you can show your animalistic self to her. The next step is rape as the person turns to be a complete savage. The rapists should be shot at the first sight without any trial. If we fear of punishment or being caught is what that rules this society then strict examples should be shown so that no one dares. Or else let every man make a promise to himself that he wont behave to a girl in a way he doesn't want any man behave to the women of his household. sadly such a day is not going to arrive in the near future.
