Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai is known to be her jolly, giggly self when interacting with the media, but the actress recently lost her cool over a question that seemed a bit touchy.

At the launch of Lodha Group's new project 'The Park' at Hotel Four Seasons in Worli, Mumbai, when Aishwarya was asked why the senior actresses are being offered just item numbers and not full-fledged roles in films, the actress, herself 39 now and a mother too, apparently snapped at the reporter.

She said, "I am an actor, don't ask me these things, I am not the one making these (item song) offers. These are not the questions that can be directed at an actor."

Aishwarya Rai did seem to lose her cool but diplomatically ended the reply with a disarming smile. The actress has been out of Bollywood action for more than two years now. She last shot for a few portions of Heroine before bowing out of the movie due to her pregnancy. Before that she was seen in Bhansali's Guzaarish in 2010.
