"Sharon , I am trying"..Swayam whispered.
Sharon and Swayam were looking at their 3 year old daughter who was sitting on a bean bag holding a Barbie in the corner and sulking. She hadn't spoken to them since returning from school nor had she eaten anything. Sharon was getting restless and Swayam was equally worried but he was doing his best not to make it obvious as he knew that would drive Sharon even crazier. They went near Tanya and kneeled down in front of her.
"Princess, school mein kuch hua kya?"
"Princess ko teacher ne daanta kya?"
Tanya didn't answer and Sharon lost her cool
"Tanya, baby what happened? Why are you not talking to us? Talk to mama."..Swayam sensing the tension in Sharon's voice picked Tanya up and put her on his lap.
"Does Tanya want to go to the park? We will ride the see-saw and sit in swings." He asked his princess kissing her soft curls.
Mention of the park made Tanya look up. She had always been daddy's girl. It was Swayam who pampered her, saved her from Sharon' scolding, got her ice cream when Sharon wasn't looking..basically fulfilled all her wishes. Her mischievous little mind knew that only her papa could fulfill this wish as well, so she agreed.
"I will go but only with Papa" she said sternly.
Sharon wanted to object but Swayam assured her that he'll handle this alone before she could open her mouth.
Sharon was getting impatient at home it had been hours since father and daughter had gone to the park but they hadn't returned yet. Just then she saw Swayam and Tanya walking in. Tanya was in her happiest mood.She hugged Sharon as soon as she entered. For the rest of the day Tanya was in her sunniest mood and Swayam had the stupidest smile on his face which Sharon found extremely irritating.
Sharon was restless even though Tanya was happy now.She didnt know why her princess was sad neither did she know why she was happy later, after returning from park. It was around dinner time, Tanya was playing with her doll , Sharon went inside the kitchen and signaled Swayam to accompany her to the kitchen. As soon as Swayam entered the kitchen she asked about their park visit and what did her daughter say and how did he convince her . Instead of answering her question though Swayam just kept flirting with her. She ran out of patience and shouted "SWAYAM.." "shh Siren , Tanya is outside , she will get scared" he whispered keeping his finger on her lips .. Sharon was confused now , her eyes grew bigger and stared at Swayam who was already lost in the bottomless depths of her eyes. He leaned forward to kiss her, just when their lips were about to meet they heard a shout "PAPAAA .." which brought them out of the trance. Swayam pecked her forehead, gave a sexy smile and sauntered out answering his little siren's call "Yes Princess" .. Sharon was worse than before though, her brain wasnt working, she was beyond confused and Swayam's behavior was driving her crazy.
Tanya made sure that Swayam and Sharon were on their toes till they put her to bed. Later at night Sharon stormed to their bedroom , spitting fire and ready to roast Swayam in it when the view infront of her stunned her into silence.the room was decorated with orchids and scented candle . Hiding her surprise, she tried to glare at him again .at her husband who was standing with the same sexy smile. . "Swayam , what had happened to her what did she tell you? Why was she sad? Aur tum aise kyun behave kar rahe ho ??? "Sharon demanded to know now more surprised than shocked.
He came near her, held her hand , turned her around and hugged her from behind. He lifted her bouncy-wavy hair from her shoulder and left a trail of kisses. Sharon wanted to resist. Whenever he touched her, her stomach turned to liquid and she went weak in her knees. But this wasnt the time . She wanted to know about her princess. "Swayam" ..." hmm" .. he said nuzzling her nape and turning her around. The kiss had already worked its magic. Now she was under his spell. He always loved the power he had over her. She turned around and slowly raised her head. There was something in her eyes, he could stare at it all his life.. " I need what I didn't get down in the kitchen " ...huskily he demanded. Sharon started blushing and looked down to hide her blush. Swayam hooked a finger under her chin and raised her head smiling at the thought that he could still make her blush after 8 years of being together.He slid his hands to her waist and pulled her towards him . He planted his hands on either side of her face and leaned forward while tiny Sharon stood on her toes to meet her tall hubby's sensual lips and lost herself in the hunger of his kiss.
He scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the bed and pretty soon they lost in their own world of love , passion and emotion. It was long time before Sharon came back to reality . She was still blushing, suddenly she realized he hasnt yet told what happened in the park. She was still in his embrace , she asked Swayam " Please tell me , what happened.. what did she want ..what did you do to convince her" . Swayam rolled her over , coming over her and said "I just did Sharon"... ."what?? " she asked thoroughly confused "Okay, then listen" he started narrating..
Father and daughter went to the park. Swayam made his princess sit on the swing and asked " What is it that my princess wants jiske liye mom ko sath nahi aane diya?"
"I want a brother"Tanya answered. Swayam got a small jhatka.
"But why baby"
"Papa kal rock band day hai"
"Kya?"
"Rock band day Papa", she face palmed with her tiny hands
"Rock band day means when a sister ties friendship band on her brother's wrist."
Swayam broke into laughter "woh rock band nahi raksha bandhan hai and woh friendship band nahi Rakhi hai"
"My best friend Riya has a brother and she is going to tie ra.. rakhi to him. Even I want a brother..even I want to tie rakhi, papa" she pouted making puppy eyes at her daddy dearest, a big fat tear ready to fall down. He promised her that he will get her a brother or sister to tie rakhi on and satisfied she carried on enjoying the swings.
He finished narrating and said "So I promised her that next year she will get brother or sister for Rakhi and she can tie Rakhi to them and as promised I started working on that right away, you know I dont like to disappoint my princess" he said winking at her. Sharon burst out laughing while Swayam fell back on the bed joining in her laughter.. They spent the rest of the night planning
1 year later:
On Rakshabandhan Tanya tied Rakhi to her tiny brother with a huge smile on face. Her smile made swayam and Sharon smile. Swayam turned towards Sharon and said"my princess wish is my command" teasing Sharon to which Sharon replied "I knw You are man of Your word." blushing hard.
