Himesh Reshammiya has been missing from action since the last six months. And he is trying hard to make up for it. What better way to gift his music to his ever-increasing list of fans! At the initial of the year he arrived with 'Red' and 'Afreen' is on its way to become a household name. Coming next to perk up your Republic Day celebrations is the soundtrack of 'Namastey London'. The soundtracks will be hitting the stands on 27th January. What makes the album ideal for Republic Day is its patriotic zeal, the underlying message of the film. The film conveys the power of India, Indians and their heritage. The story is about a Punjabi simpleton (Akshay Kumar) who goes to London to woo his wife (Katrina Kaif) who is born and bred there. Rishi Kapoor, Upen Patel and Jawed Shaikh are also in pivotal role in the film.

Himesh Reshammiya is doing the music of the film and the lyrics are by Javed Akhtar. This is for the first time they're associating for the music. Three songs from the film 'Jingle Balle', 'Chankan Chakna' and 'Virane' have the promos already on the air along with two remixes. Directed by Vipul Shah this much-awaited flick arrives at the theatres on March 09.
