SRK: 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag makes you proud to be Indian

Shah Rukh Khan has stated that films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag make him feel proud to be Indian.

The actor, who starred in Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Swades and the hockey-based film Chak De! India, commented on patriotic films on the occasion of India's 67th Independence Day.



Speaking to The Times of India, he said: "For me, in recent times, Chak De! India was a patriotic film.

"Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is also a patriotic film. Films which make you proud of being an Indian are patriotic."

The 47-year-old star said as well that he is confident in the ability of India's youth to help the nation progress.

"Youth will have new problems; they will fight for small problems. Now the educated Indian has somehow reached a level of awareness. They think the country should be good and they will work towards it," he added.
