Update for Thur Feb 1-2007 (episode 90)

Rather dull episode--Kabilan sir, please some more action required in the serial- are you listening please??

Kalpana wants to start preparing the dishes for Adhi's lunch program but on hearing Adhi's name, shobhana cuts her finger in panic. Kalpana puts bandage and finally finishes cooking and tells her parents. Her father calls adhi and tells that they are all waiting for her and that Kalpana has made all the dishes for her.Kalpana talks to adhi and says she is waiting for her and asks her to bring basundhi from a sweet shop.

Shobhana getting uneasy and wants to leave. She tells kalpana that she has headache. But Kalpana says she has to eat something and go. Shobhana gulps down something and starts leaving and Kalpana comes out to wait for Adhi. When Shobhana leaves, Adhi's vehicle comes and Kalpana asks her to wait so that she can introduce her athai.Too much tension for Shobhana but only Adhi's driver comes from the car and gives basundhi to kalpana and says adhi is not coming. Shobhana is relieved and leaves.

Kalpana's father calls adhi and asks her. She says she wants to talk something important and this is not the auspicious time,she will rather come later.

In Adhi's office, Adhi holds a business meeting with some people from a tile company and her own staff--office manager Adhipadham and consultant venkatachalam. The tile company rep gives his offer and sasy they will give 5% margin and Adhipadam says as this company is a leader in north india, it is better to acdept it even though the margin is low. Venky keeps quiet and Adhi accepts the offer and says the contract can be signed soon. After they leave, Venky says the profit margin is only 5% and transport charges will be 3% and we will be left with very little and also he says he has seen the quality of their tiles in mumbai and they are just normal ones only. He advises against taking up the contract. Adhi readily agrees and tells adhipadam to tell something and back away from the deal.
After Adhi leaves, AP tells vekny that this tile company is very reputed and it would have been good for us even if the margins are low. Venky says see my power, what I say will hold good here.

Inn kalpana's house, her parents are discussing about Shobhana. Jeeva says he is rather suspicious about her. His wife says she is looking for something and when I ask about it, she is pretending to clean something there. Soon kalpana joins in and says she will not accept her parents' conclusion. She reminds them how shobhana returned her purse which was lost and says if we find her work to be not good, then we can do something but otherwise why we should worry. Her mother says shobhana is ready to do work what we give and we can't get a person like that. Kalpana says it is better then that we should keep her here.

Jeeva/wife/kalpana come to Adhi's house much to Adhi's surprise. Jeeva tells his sister that Kalpana wanted to see athai very much and hence they decided to make a surprise visit. Jeeva asks about mapillai selva and adhi tells kalpana to go upstairs and see for herself selva's condition. She says the first son married a wrong girl and is suffering and her second son selva also is not happy.
Kalpana goes up and sees everywhere in the room Magila's name scribbled. Selva on seeing her thinks that Magila has arrived and speaks to her like that. Kalpana asks him what is going on and he says his lady love has gone somewhere. She asks him whether it is the girl from Bangalore. He says he loves Magila very much and says because of that only he stopped his engagement with kalpana by pretending to hug nithila. Kalpana says you are educated and managing a corporate office in bangalore and you should not let down your mother and behave like this. Selva says don't talk about my mother because he suspects his mother to be involved in this. He says if Magila is not found, he will react badly.

Kalpana asks now whether he considers a girl who has just come in his life more important than his parents??

Update for Fri Feb 2-2007

Still going at a snail's pace---more action required--kabilan sir, why don't you bring some more characters like expanding magila's family??

Kalpana asks Selva whether his parents are more important or a girl who has just come in his life? Selva still says his mother is responsible for all what has happened. Kalpana says she came here with her parents to enjoy lunch with the whole family. After she pleads with him to come and eat, he finally accompanies her and comes down.
Adhi tells her brother --see Selva was always stuck in his room upstairs and now he has come down only because of kalpana telling him. Now a phone rings and Selva shouts that it may be Magila and when Adhi answers it turns out to be a wrong number. But Selva does not believe it and accuses his mother of lying. He then proceeds to smash the telephone to the horror of Kalpana and her parents. He goes upstairs again in a huff.
Jeeva asks his sister what is going on and then Adhi tells him that we tried to fix him with the girl he loved but that girl suddenly disappeared and after that he is behaving like that. Jeeva asks whether this might be some very serious problem for him but Adhgi says this is just a mild depression and the doctor have told that if he is among his friends care and influence, he should be ok. And the trump card copmes --she says if kalpana is able to take care of him then selva should be ok.
Jeva and his wife are very happy at Adhi's hint of selva/kalpana marriage and say they are very much interested in the same thing happening only and now they ask if that Magila comes back, what we will do?
Adhi says we will tackle it at that time and also if Selva/kalpana marriage can be held soon, then Magila can't do a thing.
Adhi asks them to stay for lunch but Jeeva/wife say they are more than contented and will go now and Adhi tells them to leave Kalpana for some time in the house.

Kalpana comes to Nithila's house and nithila looks stunned to see kalpana. Kalpana is surprised at this response and asks whether you are going to ask me to come in at least?
Niythila smiles and asks her to come in. Kalpana asks about Nithila's mother and she replies that her mother is not with her and to explain that it is a long story and she will tell later about that.
Kalpana tells about Selva and says it is very sad that Selva is like this and then asks more details on Magila. Nithila says she knew Magila very well in Bangalore and that Magila was more interested only in Selva's money only. She tells Kalpana her impressions about Magila and Kalpana asks whether she had any family and Nithila says as far as she knew, Magila was alone and she did not see any one else when she went to Magila's house once.Now w Kalpana takes Magila's address and says she will try to visit her in Bangalore and find out.

Jeeva reading in the hall and Shobhana starts her search operation again. She goes here and there and finally in one cupboard, she finds a bag with 2 casettes. She tries to hide both cassettes in her saree but finds difficult and hence keeps 1 cassette back and takes one only hidden.
She comes back to hall and tells Jeeva that she is leaving. Jeeva stops her and asks what is hidden. Shobhana gets terrified and before she can answer, Jeeva now himself asks whether it is the torn slippers which you took out earlier. Shobhana nods and he tells that he will give her Rs.2 later to get them repaired.Shobhana is relieved and goes out.
Next scened shows Shobhana bringing a rented VCR to her house and both Thamira/shobhana very anxiously connect the vcr. Thamira prays for the good news about the cassette.Now they start the cassette.
End of epiosde.

It is pretty sure that this may not be the right cassette and when shobhana goes to try out the other cassette, she might probably get caught.

Update for Mon Feb 5-2007
Episode 93

Shobhana's house

Thamira prays for the cassette to be the one they are searching and both of them wait anxiously for the picture to start. They get disappointed when they see only raster and no picture. Now they try to take out the cassette but find unable to remove it.
Shobhana goes out and brings a mechanic who checks and opens up the vcr and is able to take out the cassette. He says this is a very old cassette and hence we need to clean the head of the vcr.
Now he makes it ok and the picture starts but Thamira hurries him out of the house and watches the video with shobhana. They find it to be a old movie and not what they are looking for.
Thamira is disappointed but Shob quickly says there is an other cassette in the same place and I will bring it tomorrow and we can check it out..

Granite office

Adhi in the office and it is late evening.Her office manager Adipadham asks her why you are still waiting here. She says she had given one job to Venkatachalam and she is waiting to know the result.
Soon Venky comes in smiling and says success to Adhi. He says we have bagged the one crore contract and gives the contract file. She is very happy and now calls Adipadam to bring the brief case she had given to him earlier.Adi gives the brief case to her which contains lot of cash. She takes Rs.2 lakhs and gives to Venky who refuses to accept saying he only did as part of his duty. But Adhi says this contract will bring me lot of profits and so she is giving this money and she also tells him to go and make his wife happy with this money. Venky accepts the money and goes. Now Adipadam says he also has a wife and then seeing Adhi's cold stare keeps quiet. Adhi says this contract will bring me at least 1 crore profit and hence I paid him 2%. You should also do something worthwhile for me like Venky rather than simply sitting in the office,she tells him.

Jeeva's house

Shobhana walks in gingerly to Jeeva's house and Maragatham asks her why she is late as lot of household work is pending. Shob gives some excuse and now proceeds to the cupboard where the cassettes were fiound earlier. She tries to keep back the cassette she had taken earlier and now is shocked to find the other cassette missing in the bag.
Desperately she searches all the drawers but stops when she hears Jeeva coming near the room. Jeeva comes and sees her with the broom and tells her to do the job properly.He now looks in the same bag in the cupboard and finds only 1 cassette and searches here and there. He asks Shobhana whether she has seen the 2nd cassette.Finding no clue, he calls Maragatham and asks her. She says she did some clearing of the cupboard and threw this cassette out of the window.
Jeeva shouts at her saying you don't know this cassette's value and I have preserved this cassette for so many years. Maragatham unable to react and Jeeva goes to the garden in search.
After he leaves, Maragatham says even after so many years of marriage, I can't say when this guy will get angry. Shob asks Maragatham whether she can help Jeeva in searching the cassette. Maragatham gets annoyed and tells her to go and do the kitchen jobs.
Jeeva searches everywhere in garden and finally gets the cassette covered in mud. He brings it home and keeps it in the same place and says in this house, he only has to safeguard everything.( Any sensible person will run such a important cassette and check it out after being thrown like that but as this is a megaaaa serial, we can't expect these things!!)

Magila's house

Kalpana comes to Magila's house in Bangalore and the house owner lady tells her that Magila is missing and she decided to wait for a few days before dumping Magila's things in their out house.Kalpana says she is Magila's relative and requests her to allow her to check out Magila's room so that she can get some clue about her disappearance. The house owner reluctant at first but finally agrees.
Kalpana searches round and finally sees some papers and reading them is stunned.

Update for Tue Feb 6-2007
Episode 94

Scene 1

Kalpana in Magila's house in Bangalore and looks at the papers and then decides to keep them in her purse. She comes out of the house and telephones Selva and tells him that she has some important papers of Magila and she wants to discuss with him. Impatiently, he asks whether she found Magila or not. Kalpana says she will discuss everything after reaching chennai.

Scene 2

Venky with another lady (You can identify her as kala/kolangal)in her house. He shows her the 2 Lakhs rupees and she asks in surprise how this Adhi ever gave this much money to you. He says he got her a contract worth several crores rupees and as a reward she has given this money,he says. She says this money seems to be very paltry. He says he has done enough for Adhi and she has made huge money through his ideas and now enough of getting commission money like this and now I will try to do something big. He further says he has won Adhi's trust during the last few years and now is the time for payback. He says Adhi has transferred some land on benami name to him and he intends to sell it and go to London.She asks if Adhi tries to knock you out what you will do. He says if she is outside then only she can do that but I have enough evidence to put her in jail for a long time. She presses him to tell the secret but he refuses saying women can't keep secrets. She asks him to take her also to London and he agrees. Now she asks for a necklace out of the money that he has got. He says you are just a "vappatti" and not my wife and so not worth a necklace and throws one cash bundle at her saying this is more than enough for you. He tells her to keep the balance money safely.
( so another 2nd wife case!)

Scene 3

Jeeva with his wife and says we need to tell kalpana about our proposal for her marriage with selva. He says we are lucky to have a good (sic!) person like Adhilakshmi as our sambandhi. It is a blessing in disguise that the previous alliance fell through because that boy backed out.They both hope that Kalpana will agree to their proposal.

Scene 4

Kalpana comes to chennai and comes to Adhi's house and Adhi asks her about any news. Kalpana says she has got something important to tell about Magila but she would rather tell only to Selva.Adhi tells her it is better you tell me about this. Now Selva calls from behind abnd says what is the matter that you want to suppress from me?Adhi tries to make excuses but Selva stops her and insists on Kalpana telling the facts.Kalpana now tells him that you and Magila loved each other and wanted to marry but you could have had some patience in this matter. Selva can't understand and tells her not to beat around the bush and tell the matter. Kalpana shows the papers seen in Magila's house and says Magila was pregnant and these are the lab reports. Selva screams and says this can't be correct since I did not touch her at all. Kalpana says she did not accuse Selva being responsible for this.Selva still can't understand her point and asks how she is pregnant then? Adhi keeps her hand on her head and wonders what sort of a person you are who can't understand even this.Magila is a bad woman,she asserts. Selva again shouts that Magila is a good person and he will find out the true facts from the doctor who wrote this lab report. He says he will go and meet the doctor who gave this report (in Bangalore).

He rushes out and sees his father coming home in the car with the driver. He pushes out the driver and starts driving in frenzy.
His father comes in and asks his wife and Kalpana why Selva is behaving like this. But they don't tell him the details about Magila which was told to selva earlier.

Scene 5

Selva driving in panic amid conflicting emotional turmoil.Images of Magila come floating before him continously and he is unable to focus on the road.
Soon the expected thing happens and his car hits a vehicle and Selva is seen lying slumped in his seat seriously injured.

Sorry everyone. I was away on training for 2 days and hence the delay in updates.

Here is update for Wed Feb 7-2007

Scene 1

Continuation of previous day scene where Selva is lying injured in the car accident. Now Adhi/sundara/kalpana are seen hurrying into the hospital and are directed to the ICU where Selva is lying.
Adhi getting upset and tells the nurse that they want to see selva. But she does not allow and tells her to just look at him through the door and says doctor will tell you the status..Selva is lying with a breathing mask on his mouth and Adhi is shocked and says this is all because of that Magila. Sundara tells her to calm down and in the meanwhile, doctor comes out and says selva has lost lots of blood and he is in a critical condition. Also he has a leg fracture, he says.He says we have to wait for some more time to make any prognosis.
Again some more pulamabal from Adhi and more archnai for magila.
Now the doctor sees that selva opening his eyes and tells nurse to call his family. On seeing Adhi, selva asks whu Magila did like that and he is sure that she is a good girl.Adhi says don't tak about magila again and again-- because of her only, you are in this condition. But he continues to talk like that and Adhi shouts at him and the nurse enters now and asks why you are al behaving like in a fish market--we will allow only 1 person to be here with the patient. Once he becomes ok, he will be taken to the general ward and then you can talk what you want,she says. Kalpana offers to be with Selva and selva's parents leave now.
Again selva asks her whether magila would have done like that. Kalpana asks him to keep quiet and take rest.

Scene 2

Lalitha and Patti in terrace. Lalitha appears very worried and Patti asks why. She says nothing but Patti asks is it about the court judgement due tomorrow? She nods and says she is very much concerned about what the medical report will be.Patti says why you are worried because truth is on our side. Lalitha says she has every reason to be worried because what Adhi cannot achieve by terrorising people, she will achieve by buying people. Patti says you need not worry because about this unduly because last week I went to astrologer and he told that you and your husband will live together in future. Lalitha remains unconvinced and refuses to come and take food. Patti consoles her and persuades her to come for taking food.

Scene 3

Court scene. Lalitha/husband facing the judge and Adhi/sundara watching. The lawyer comes and looks doubtfully at Adhi who shouts at him.She wonders whether people will do what they have been told to do. Sundara asks her whether she is trying to some more bad things in this matter. She asks him to keep quiet. Sundara of course keeps quiet--must be a habit for him to behave like that and now very difficult to change that habit,right??

Judge gives his judgement and says the medical report clearly shows that Lalitha and her husband have no problem in living together and he believe that the allegations against Lalitha are totally false and probably instigated by Adhi who mut bhave pressurised her son. He however says he is pardoning Adhi and says Lalitha and Shant can live together as husband and wife.Lalitha is very happy,Adhi is stunned and mutters how the medical report came out like this after all the money spent on that.
Lalitha comes out and thanks the doctor who said she only wrote what were the facts. Now she goes to Adhi and gives her an envelope containing money. Adhi asks why you are giving back this money. Doctor says when you gave this money before to give false report, I wanted to return the money at that time itself but then I thought you may resort to some other tactics to punish Lalitha. Hence I pretended to agree with you and I deceived you till last minute. Adhi is very angry but can't do a thing.

Scene 4

Patti/Lalitha come to Adhi's house. Adhi is talking to someone on telephone. She says if people listen to her words, then she will be very good with them but if they behave against her, then she will show who is Adhi.
Now she sees them and warmly welcomes them to the surprise of Patti. Adhi asks Patti to sit but Lalitha looks at her sullenly and is very watchful.Patti tells her to forget about what happened and please accept Lalitha. Adhi also talks very pleasantly and asks why lalitha's parents have not come here. Patti says they were reluctant to come because of the court case. Adhi says nothing to worry and she will take care of her Lalitha. Patti now leaves and lalitha goes to the door to get her bag. When she comes with the bag, Adhi's face changes and she shouts "Nilladi" to lalitha.

Scene 1

Adhi shouts at Lalitha to stop She also says you came here like a orphan and even your parents did not come with you. Lalitha says she wanted to come alone only because this is her house and only her patti just wanted to accompany her ,that is all.Adhi then tells her she will see how she lives here peacefully. Adhi says court may have allowed you to live here but I will make sure that you will not live happily even for a day.Lalitha says you can try to do anything but you just wait and see --I am going to become the mother of a child here. Adhi ridicules her saying don't do day-dreaming.adhi asks are you making a challenge to me? Lalitha replies that if you want to take it as a challenge , you can take it like that.

Scene 2

Selva in hospital bed and seen writing "magila,magila" over and over again in a paper. Dhamu comes there and enquires about his health. Selva asks him where is magila and says everyone is telling she is pregnant and is a bad woman. He asks him whether she would have been like tat. He says he is loving magila to the bottom of his heart. Dhamu reamins silent and finally says magila is not innocent as you beieved and she had connection with 2 or 3 people and I have seen her with them. Her main intention was to make as much money out of you as possible. When Adhi came to Bangalore and saw Selva/magila together and proposed marriage, magila was a bit nonplussed and then suddenly disappeared. Now he admits that even he collaborated with her for getting some money but when he saw how much Selva was distressed,he decided to reform and be loyal to selva and admit everything. He apologises to selva and leaves.
After he leaves, Selva starts crying in a very loud voice
and pleadingly asks Magila why you behaved like that.

Scene 3

Ganga comes to MS's house. MS shows hi some photos of some men, one of which is that of Venkatachalam (adhi's consultant). MS says these are all Adhi's benamis and he says unknown to us, she has made many more crores and invested in various things in these benami names. I am not sure who are really involved from these men,he says. Ganga feels upset that his sister has hidden these things so far from him.. He asks how we can check out all these people. MS takes out Venky's photo and says this guy is Venky--a trusted consultant of Adhi. If you investigate him ,then we can unravel more things and get some of her crores.Ganga takes the photo and says he will find out about Venky.

Scene 4

Jeeva in his house and Shobhana doing some work in kitchen. Maragatham hurrying Jeeva to go to temple. As Kalpana is not in house, he asks his wife how we can leave this house in the hands of this thief woman. He says he does not believe her and thinks she is up to something. Maragatham says just find out when Kalpana is coming. Jeeva calls his daughter and finds that she will come only after 30 minutes. Maragatham says if we leave after Kalpana comes, we will miss the auspicious time and we better hurry up now. Now jeeva tells her to put a small check on shobhana by telling that they are going to the temple but kalpana will be coming with in 5 minutes. Shobhana is vry happy when she hears that she will be alone in the house for some time. When they leave, she closes all doors and starts her search again. Now she finds the cassette not there in the cupboard in the earlier location. She is shocked and starts searching again. Now the camera shows the door opening as if someone is coming to various rooms.
Shobhana turns around on hearing a noise and looks shocked to see something!

Ok, here is the update for Friday Feb 9-2006 (episode 97)

Scene 1

Shobhana looking shocked at the door and as expected the person who came in is Kalpana. She says when her parents told that Shob is trying to steal something in the house, I did not believe it but now I am very disappointed. She says you have broken my trust and the respect I had for you. She further asks Shob as to what you really want--jewelry or money from here? Shob says she knows exactly where the jewelry/money is kept here and so she does not want to even go near those cupboards. Her main aim,she says, is to find evidence for a murder which is lying here. Kalpana asks her in surprise what do you mean by saying the evidence is in this house. Shob says there are some people living in high status who need to be exposed and there is an innocent person who is suffering for years who needs justice and I am trying to find the evidence for that,she says. Further her dialogues are muted and when the sound comes back, kalpana asks her whether she really means that the cassette is lying in this house. (Shobhana reveals perhaps small part of teh story because reaction from kalpana would have been bigger if Adhi's name had been mentioned!)
Shob says she is hunting for the cassette from day one here and she is working here only to get that cassette. She also says Kalpana's father kept the cassette somewhere and she can't find it.
Kalpana says perhaps it is in his bed room and they proceed to search there. Soon Kalpana finds a cassette which Shob identifies as the one she saw in the cupboard and now they hurry to check out the cassette.
On checking out, the cassette turns out to be a damp squib.It is only a film with the old comedy actor suruli rajan's scenes. Shob is very disappointed and says jeeva particularly said that day that this cassette dis very valuable to him and he was very upset when the cassette was thrown out by his wife and then he went to great lengths top retrieve it from the garden.
Kalpana laughs and says this cassette has scenes of surulirajan and my father likes him very much and cracks a joke at her father saying her father perhaps likes surulirajan because he behaves like him only. Because of that, he might have been a little possessive about the cassette. She further asks whether they can search elsewhere . Shob says she has virtually searched every nook and corner of the house and there is nothing to do further. She feels very sad that she could not find the one evidence she had for the murder and wonders hwhat she will do now.
She now proceeds to leave the house and Kalpana hesitatingly says perhaps you may not come back here again. Shob nods and Kalpana offers to help out whenever required by shobhana.

Scene 2

Selva in hospital bed, leg in plaster and in traction. Nurse tries to give him medicines but he demurs and says she does not want to take medicines. Now Nithila comes in and the nurse tells her that Selva is refusing to take the medicines and if he does not take the medication, the doctor might scold her. Nithila sends the nurse away telling she will take care.
Again the same pulambal from selva to nithila about Magila and he asks how she could have behaved like this when he loved her so deeply. Nithila tells him to consider that God has helped you to recognise about Magila so soon instead of after marriage. She says imagine if you had got married to her, you would have suffered life long. Normally men only gravitate from woman to woman but here magila was the reverse and she was wooing different men to get the maximum things out of them. She says you should rather think of all this a boon for you and try to focus on your business and try to develop those things in future.
Selva says earlier also you warned me about Magila and I ignored that but I believed other people and see even this Dhamu has ditched me and was conniving against me. You have really given me some wise advice and I am very thankful to you,he says.Now she says you have to get well soon and you need to take these medicines which will help your recovery and gives the medicines to Selva.

Scene 3

Thamarai at home praying to God that the cassette should be found soon and Shobhana should come hime with the good news soon.
Shobhana comes now and says much to Thamarai's disappointment that the cassette was not found in that house. Probably it is not there at all.She then tells the happenings at Jeeva's house and what she told Kalpana. Thamarai is shocked and asks whether she told that Adhi is involved in this. Shobhana says she knew about Adhi's relation with Jeeva and hence she only told about murder evidence and not the full details.
Thamarai is very upset that the only evidence against Adhi can't be traced and asks why God is not having any mercy on her despite all her sufferings. She says she is beginning to lose her faith in God.
Now the postman comes and gives a letter addressed to Thamarai. Shobhana opens the letter and in that the anonymous writer tells Thamarai that there is no need to worry about the cassette. No need to search anymore. He will give information about it at the right time.

Both are shocked to read the letter.

Update for Monday Feb 12-2007

Scene 1

Shobana/thamira looking at the anonymous letter and find that it does not have any address and even they can't decipher the post office seal. They go in search of the postman and finally find him. He says it is from virugambakkam,chennai and says if it is a threatening letter or like that, you can complain to police. He says probably because you 2 women are staying alone, someone may be trying to create problems.Also he says it is not necessary that the person who sent this letter is from virugambakkam--may be he could have just posted it from there but residing elsewhere.
They come home and thamira tells shob to keep the letter carefully. The letter falls down and Shob notices a address in back of the letter (17/1,Jagannathan street). Thamira says probably the letter may be from a letter pad but the address part not removed by mistake.
Now thamira says we better find out this address immediately. Shob says we better wait for 2-3 days since the writer of that letter has himself told that he will inform us about the cassette soon. So let us not hurry it immediately,she says.
Thamira prays for getting the evidence as early as possible.

Scene 2

The actor playing Shanta ganapathy has been changed. The new guy is the person acting as Inspector/Lakshmi or senthil/Penn. For his actual name, we only need to ask our in-house consultant meli--right?
It was high time the earlier guy was removed. Even if the role was rather submissive, his acting was nothing great but the new guy is very versatile in various roles that I have seen.
Continuing with the story, Lalitha comes in and Shanta says he is disappointed because he was waiting from morning for her to come ( can't really understand here because they are in this house and why he has to wait for her??)He says he has to go to office for some urgent work and she asks him to take leave for the day. He says he can't think of leave etc because he is the JMD of the company and his mother will take him to task if he does not attend meetings and take leave. She is very annoyed and says how long you will be scared of your mother like this. She says you are married now and you should deal more independently now. Shanta says he has something surprise in store for her in the evening. She asks him eagerly but he says wait till evening.

Scene 3

Selva in hospital bed (still clean shaven!) and Nithila comes and applies kungumam on his forehead saying it is a koil prasadham. Now she asks him to take food and he asks her also to join him for lunch. She says she is having "viradham" today and when he asks the reason she does not reveal it. Selva says probably because you are aiming to get a good job perhaps. Nithila hurriedly says yes but Sundara ganapathy coming from behind says nithila is telling a lie. He says nithila asked the koil gurukkal about what is to be done towards selva recovering fast. The gurukkal suggested her to have viradham regularly and he suggested other things which nithila will be folowing. Sundara tells Selva that she is doing all this for your good only. Selva is very touched and says till now I did not know who really cared for me and instead I was attracted to selfish people like Magila. Nithila says now that you have understood the things, there is nothing to worry and you will recover and will come up in life,she says.

Scene 4

Shanta comes home rather stealthily carrying a bag. Adhi notices him and asks him about some contract. He says they were quoting high and the margins were not much hence the deal was not fixed up. She gets annoyed and says why you can't decide about these things because they were a good business deal for us and we should not have missed it. He says he was very scared what she will say about this.
Now she asks about the bag and even though shanta hesitates, she manages to coax out of him the contents of the bag--mallipoo,halwa,apple. She asks for whom you are carrying mallipoo (real comedy here!) and in confusion, shanta says it is for himself.
Adhi laughs and says she knows he is carrying these things for his wife and she says she will be happy like any mother if her son and DIL are happy.
Shanta is very happy and says he never expected his mother to behave so nicely and runs to his room singing "Happy,Indru mudhal Happy".
Adhi looking at him tells herself that her son will not be happy for a long time because soon a tragedy is to take place for him.

Update for Tuesday Feb 13-2006

Scene 1

Shanta goes running upstairs happily telling "Happy indru mudhal Happy" and Adhi tells sorry to her son in her mind and tells her son in her mind that he will not be happy in future and a big tragedy will spoil his happy life soon.

Shanta in his room putting mallipoo all over the bed and Lalitha enters the room wearing mallipoo and carrying milk. She sees him looking very happy and asks what is this--you are behaving as if this is our 1st night? She says she just brought milk just by chance. Shanta says we have to make this as our second 1st night. alitha cannot believe what is happening and asks whether your mother saw you carrying Poo,pazham and halwa. He says she saw it and also told me to be happy with you. He says she also told me that she wants to see us happy.Lalitha is slightly puzzled hearing this and says shyly that her relatives are also asking why she has not vomitted so far.Shanta looks puzzled and asks why should you vomit--what wrong thing have you eaten? She controls her anger and says this is not that vomitting but a different one. He understands at last and says oh, you are talking about child --ok no problem --we can get the child in 9 months from now. ( This Manohar is doing so many sensible roles elsewhere and I am sure he must be enjoying this role and he is showing nice expressions--far far better than the earlier actor!)
Lalitha coyly asks are you sure and whether it will really happen.

Scene 2

Adhi sitting downstairs and looking very anxious. Now Sundara comes and says he is going to hospital to be with Selva for the night.Adhi does not listen and hence he tells the same thing again. Adhi now goes to him and tells him that you are not well. He says no, I perfectly all right. She says no, no, your eyes are reddish and touches his face and says you are sweating also. Something is wrong with you seriously,she says. Sundara says he just took barth and hence sweating may be there but otherwise no problem, he says. But she insists he is not ok and needs rest and tells him to go to doctor and check up. Sundara says that is not a bad suggestion because he is going to hospital anyway and he will see a doctor also. Adhi mutters to herself that in that case everything will be spoiled and tells him firmly to take rest at home.
Sundara always used to obeying Adhi's instructions, obeys once more and goes to his room.

Lalitha/shanta talking happily in their upstairs room and a call comes on the mobile. Lalitha says it is better now to put off the mobile but Shanta is not so clever and takes the mobile and seeing his mother's number gets scared and talks on the mobile. Adhi tells him that there is something wrong with his father and hence he should come immediately. Shanta tells Lalitha that father is sick and without waiting for her reply, he goes downstairs.
He sees Adhi and asks her about father. She says he was not well at all with blood shot eyes and he had high fever also. Now Shanta wants to see him but she stops him saying that he is taking rest and so don't disturb him. Shanta says in that case let him take rest, and I will rather take him to doctor tomorrow.
Now he asks Adhi hopefully that can he go upstairs again. ( you should really see this scene--very very funny!)
She says no, no--see your younger brother is in hospital now and he i being looked after during the day by Nithila/kalpana and in the night by your father. If something happens to selva, then I will be devastated,she says.
At this point, Lalith feels something fishy and comes down the stairs half way and listens to the conversation.
Adhi further tells Shanta that she has business tensions and she does this for the sake of her children only and she asks him whether he can be in the hospital. She hopes that he will not let her down.
Shanta agrees immediately and says his younger brother si very important to him and says he will go there immediately.Lalitha looking at the scene shakes her head in disgust.
Adhi triumphantly tells herself whom do you think is Adhi?

Lalitha goes down and sees Sundara crossing the hall and asks him what is wrong with him. He says nothing wrong at all and Adhi only told him that he is not well and forced him to take rest. He now sees Adhi and tells her that he heard the car starting sound just now and thoguht she has gone to hospital. Adhi getting a bit annoyed that her cookie has crumbled tells him (as usual) to keep quiet and go and take rest. Lalitha looks at the scene with disgust.
When he goes inside, she looks at Lalitha and says she will never allow her to be happy in this house. Lalitha says you only spoiled only 1 night for us and there are 365 nights more and you can't do a thing,she says. Adhi says we will see about that.

Scene 3

Shobana/thamira come to 17,Ramanathan street ( correction from the address in yesterday's update!) in virugambakkam and try to make enquiries. But the guy there says he does not know anything. Now they asks the auto driver about Ramanathan street in chennai and he says there are 3-4
localities having this street. They go to one suvh town and find 17/1,ramanathan street and Shob says she will wait outside and asks Thamira to go in and find out.
Thamira sees an old man who asks suspicious questions to Thamira who is not disclosing details about the letter's content. Finally the old guy starts phoning police At this point, Thamira gets scared and runs out.
Shob/Thamira get inside the auto hurriedly and ask the driver to go to Ramanthan street in another locality.

Venky locks his house and comes out and we see Ganga sitting in a car and waiting to follow Venky.

Update for Wednesday Feb 14-2007 (Episode 100)

Today's was episode 100 but no special announcement to mark 100 episodes-- only 2-3 sparkler shots with the episode number slide!

Scene 1

Venky leaving home and driving in his car followed by Ganga.When they are driving, we also see Thamira/shob going round in the same area in auto.
Finally Venky stops at 17/1 Ramanathan street which is the address for Ganapathy granites. Venky goes in and Ganga waits outside. He is in for a long wait.

Scene 2

Shanta sleeping soundly and Adhi wakes him up. He gets cross saying he was up whole night in hospital and so he is felling very tired. Adhi says you were in hospital and I am sure Lalitha must have been pretty disappointed. Now go and get ready and you can go out with her and spend time happily. Shanta can't believe his eyes. He asks her are you really telling this? She says she is very much interested in both of you living happily.She also says who is Lalitha? She has come to this home as a marumal and so it is our duty to keep her happy. Shanta says you have changed quite a bit now. Adhi says Lalitha has gone to temple and you better get ready soon to take her out.

He goes to get ready and Adhi then gives a triumphant all-knowing smile.

Scene 3

Lalitha comes back from temple and finding Ahanta missing wonders. Shanta comes outof bathroom and she asks why you could not have slept for some more time. You must have been pretty tired after being up for the whole night in hospital. Shanta says we are going out now and you only have to decide where exactly we are going to spend the time. He further says his mother only aked us to go out and be happy. So saying he goes to get ready but Lalitha keeps thinking and brooding.

Scene 4

Both are ready now and Shanta still finds Lalitha thinking about something. He asks her whether you are not interested in coming with me. She says it is nothing like that.He says even if you can't decide about our program, I have already decided that we are going 1st to a cinema and then beach and then dinner in a nice place and then only come back home.
They now come down and are met by Adhi. She sees Lalitha without mallipoo and puts some poo for her. Lalitha looks still puzzled. Shanta very happy to see the way his mother is behaving with his wife. Adhi tells them to take dinner somewhere and enjoy the outing.
After they leave, she calls Thomas,driver and asks whether everything is done. She asks him to stay put there only and not go elsewhere.

Scene 5

Shanta driving and asks Lalitha whether she is happy. She in turn asks him whether he is happy. He says he is very happy and also the fact that after the court case, his mother seems to be mellowed and he tells her that she should adjust to his mother.She says if his mother is affectionate, she is ready to reciprocate 5 times as much. She also says like any average woman, she is not much interested in jewelary,clothes etc. Al she is interested is that her husband should be happy and if he is happy, she also will be happy.

( I thought the brake or clutch plate of the car might have been tampered but it turns out to be something more ridiculous really!)

They are talking happily and suddenly the car stops and he asks her to push the car. She grumbles and pushes.

Meanwhile Adhi is seen in the house with driver Thomas and she laughs aloud also joined in by Thomas.She frowns at the laughing Thomas who gets a call now and he looks at Adhi questioningly. She says just tell him that you are at your home now as your child is sick . He repeats the same dialogue to Shanta.
At the other end, Lalitha is increasingly getting exasperated and mockingly asks shanta what about cinema,beach,dinner etc. Shanta says driver Thomas is not available now and I will rather try for my mother now. He dials Adhi who asks him whether he went to cinema and beach.He tells her about the problem and she promises to send a mechanic there.
After he hangs up, she laughs aloud and tells Thomas to go home immediately.

Shanta/Lalitha keep waiting endlessly for the mechanic who comes at last and the mechanic says he was informed only 10 minutes before.
Mechanic looks at the dashboard and asks him how long you are driving a vehicle. Shanta says for the last 10 years. He asks him how can a vehicle run without petrol. Shanta asks how is it possible because yesterday only he filled the tank. Then the mechanic says probably someone might have taken out the petrol. Shanta tells him to and bring some petrol.
Lalitha now tells him that she know what has happened and who is the culprit.Shanta is too innocent and says tell me, I will go and tell my mother about it. Lalitha does not know whether to laugh or cry at this and asks him what is the use of telling your mother. I will tackle this myself,she says.

Scene 6

Ganga still waiting outside Ganapathy granites office and getting bored. He calls MS and tells him that I am doing nothing tracking a benami consultant and I am wasting my time here,he says.He says he will try to leave now. In the meanwhile, Shob/thamira's auto comes and they look around for the address they are hunting.
Ganga leaves in the meanwhile and does not see the 2 women entering and they also don't see Ganga.

They enter the office and ask someone about the office and then Thamira says she has received a letter from this place and she has come here to find about that.
Listening to this conversation from behind is Venky and he gets shocked and goes inside his room and looks perturbed.
