Antara and Raghu get involved in various tiffs and arguments right from day 1. Antara finds it totally wrong to give in to Raghu everytime and to live according to him all the time. Raghu is adamant on making Antara realize his importance and authority in the basti. This leads to huge misunderstandings in between them. And in this course of events, Raghu gets really mad at Antara and unaware about her mother's ill health, he asks Antara and her family to leave the basti. They leave. But then Mami comes into action, goes to Raghu, (there are some really heart-touching dialogues delivered by her) and tells him about her sister-in-law's illness. Raghu on hearing this feels bad and guilty and decides to get them back. That is when the first Mahaepisode comes.

In it, while Raghu is out to get them back, Antara at the same time is wandering around in search of a place to put up when she is attacked by some goons. Raghu turns up at the right moment and saves her. He asks everyone to come back with him but doesn't allow Antara. Antara and Noor Appa stay back. Rest of them leave with Raghu. Next day, in the morning, Raghu tries to convince Ishu (Antara's brother) to play with the basti kids instead of just watching their matches and meanwhile, he unintentionally unleashes the truth about his father's death to him. This shocks Ishu and he decides to leave for Kashmir all alone to get back his father. He leaves and goes missing.Antara's Mami goes to Raghu for his help. He right away leaves in his jeep with MachMach(his jigri yaar) to hunt out for Ishu. He suddenly meets Antara at some point. Noor Appa is sent back with MachMach.Antara insists to stay back and accompany Raghu in searching out her brother. They ultimately find Ishu. Immediately after that, Raghu's rival gang, attack him. He runs away along with Antara and Ishu and hides with them in a garage.The best phases starts henceforth.

Well, the story is basically about two people(until now) who are from two different backgrounds, who have had opposite upbringing and who belong to two totally different cities, wherein, Raghu is a kind-hearted gangster, is insolent and rough, and lives in a Chawl in Mumbai. He apparently is the bhagwaan of his Basti and on the other hand,Antara is a doctor's daughter, belongs to the beautiful Kashmir, is aprinciples and values-oriented person and loves her family a lot.

The serial started off with Kashmir but when Antara's father passes away in a terrorist attack, her Mama and Mami(who stay in Raghu's basti in Mumbai) come over to take her and her family to Mumbai.Her mother loses her mental state because of the tragic incident of her husband's death.Her brother is a 7-year old kid.And they have a maid-turned family member Noor Appa.When they come to Mumbai, initially they find it hard to adjust in the new complex,crowded and fast life.
