'When Love is the deadliest Game'Stockholm syndrome, or capturebonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness.
****Prologue"Yes Abbu, I'm perfectly alright! Yes...yes...hmm...yes I'll be coming back home till 10 as promised. Yes...yes...I won't talk to strangers and will not leave Ayaan's side at any cost." Zoya mumbled into her phone while walking around the bookshelves.
Zoya hung the phone soon after and busied herself in finding the perfect book, when she could not she sat down on the stool and placed her shoulder bag near her feet. She turned around and saw that her bodyguard Ayaan was still waiting outside the library for her. She sighed and started playing with her fingers.
She'd always had an over-protected childhood, with a bodyguard looming over her head every second and would follow her wherever she would go. After throwing hell loads of tantrums she had finally got a bodyguard who was her age and to whom she could talk to like a normal person would do without having to look like an alien.
She was sick and tired of this whole bodyguard thing, she could not have fun like all the other girls of her age, could not go out without having the bodyguard follow her like a shadow.
The rebel instincts kicked in, she grabbed her handbag smiled at the librarian and took off through the back door. Once she was out of the library she ran, as if her life depended on it without even looking to where she was heading. She clutched her stomach tightly and panted heavily a cheeky grin was plastered on her face.
"I'm free!" She screamed at the top of her lungs and did a little jig of her own in the middle of nowhere.
Suddenly she could feel a presence behind her but before she could even react, darkness engulfed her and she wished that she shouldn't have screamed those words out loud.
