Read an article just now that said Varun can give John a run for his money cuz he is more popular among "men".

I mean even Sid debuted with Varun and he even has a shady past with Kjo as many believe so Why Varun and not Sidh?Why is he so popular among men?Any particular reason you think?Also I think this is the new trend in the industry maybe,earlier we never heard for some actor being a gay icon or something like that.

Varun Dhawan however revealed to Stardust, that he doesn't mind being a gay icon:

"Its Cool. All people are equal according to me. My aim as an actor is to reach everyone. And even they're a part of the audience as well. I want to be appealing to them as well."

So are there actresses in India too who have a large "female" following in this sense?Then who that might be?

I dont think so he meant that,he was like Its ok if I am popular among men.Coming to Dipika one I didnt say that all those actresses who are popular among girls are Lesbian icons or so what I meant was are there any actresses who are L icons?

rofl ,itz only varun,his dad and his PR claiming that he hav a huge male/gay fan following . No one else is saying that ...As far as ur doubt on sid ,he has very large female following which made him win almost every poll conducted last year in india and uk . Sid became the sexiest debudant of 2012 in the famous uk poll . Not only that , sid also made it to top5 in the list of 50 most desirable asian men ,hritik n salman were the only ppl ahead of him frm bollywood .
