that Ravan is smiling with lot of ego
Mahadev says " utho Raam , vo dhanush uthao aur tod do Ravan ka ahankar"
and then showed Rama breaking dhanush

me too saw the promo. they are showing it since many days.😃

yeah saw it long time back.. but still dont understand.. y the hell did ravan come from in sitas swayamvar..

kisine sach hi kaha hai.. yeh dkdm ka pauranik chitra rachna hai...

and they will keep showing nonsense/ unralistic

Ravan did attend Devi Sita's Swayamvar, AS he couldn't pick the Dhanush everyone laughs at him. This is how Ravan's Ego gets hurt & he had to return to Lanka without Sita. Also when Shri Ram break the bow Parshuram comes in anger & asks to Ram how dare he breaks MAhadev's bow.

LAter when Ravan comes to know that Shri Ram & Sita are living in jungle, to take revenge from Shri Ram Ravan kidnaps Devi Sita.

He had so much power that he could lift kailash and he could lift this dhanush too but to make him not lift ,Gods had to distract him by bhavishya vani -'future aspect' coming fro sky.

He had come to swayambar but he had to leave from there from the middle.

Also He was most educated - 'vidvaan'.Still he is known as that .

Acc to story -present story going from ramayana - Yes he kidnapped Sita bcoz of this but going by Past and present of ravan .There is a story acc to which He had a curse ,to remove that he has to be finished by GOD's avatar (In hindi its known as ud-dhar which is a divine word).So He deliberately did that owise Why will Ram kill him.

I know kaikayi and ravan are known as wrong persons of Ramayana but both have a past story ,Knowing which we will say they were best .I will share later on.

yes true Ravan wanted to die at the hands of Lord Vishnu to get moksh and to be free from cycle of death and birth he knew v well what he was doing

as for kekai I dont know her past history I know just that she helped dashrath at a battle for which dashrath gave her two boons which she utilized when her son grew up and shri saraswati sat on her toungue when she asked those boons from dashrath to be fullfilled by sending ram for 14 yrs exile and to make bharat king of ayodhya
