Dr. Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan 1987 which is an eternal classics showed Ramayan initially up to Shri Rama's Rajyabhisheka. Because of protest from Valmiki society, in 1989 , the series came back as Luv Kush Ramayan & showed up to ascending of Prabhu Shri Ramachandra to Vaikunthadhama as Sriman Narayana. This was followed in Anand Sagar's Ramayan which was also a super-duper hit in the year 2008. I have also liked this Ramayana as it has highlighted some untold stories of Shri Ramayana. But, this Ramayan should also show up to Shri Ram's leaving the mortal world ie the end of Uttara Kand. We should object the abrupt ending of Ramayan. The question of faith of millions arises here. Zee Tv can't end Ramayan abruptly. Lets complain ibfindia against Zee Tv. It will work.

yes. i agree with all of u. I really want this ramayan to be shown till Ramaji going to his vishnu abode after uttarkanda ends. If u all support me then plz send email to sagar pictures about ramayan continuing or coming back again after few months with all the same actors casts and crew and showing uttara kanda with sita ram pattabhishek, sita going to 2nd vanvaas, luv kush born, shatrughana becoming king after killing lavnasur, luv kush learning abt archery and ramaji's katha and sita's story and luv kush defeating ramaji and his brothers in ashwamedha yagya fight and then final reunion of ramaji and his sons luv kush with sitaji going to mother earth after her final test and last ramaji going to vishnu abode.

Forget it! Today, they skipped a pretty major event - Ravan's first battle w/ Rama, that resulted in his humiliation, which is what caused him to wake up Kumbhakarna. In the original stories, after the death of Prahasth (in Valmiki) or Makaraksh (where, I don't know - maybe in Sagars 😆), Ravan was totally shaken and decided to go into battle himself. He went, and got badly defeated by Rama, and went back & woke up Kumbhakarna.

I think that next week, they'll go directly from Kumbhakarna's death to Indrajit going into battle. And unlike in the previous serials, I don't think they'll show 3 battles b/w Indrajit & Lakshman - they'll show only the last 1. That will enable them to show Ravan in the following episode fight & get killed by Rama.

The mistake Zee made was making this third Ramayan serial in the first place. Two serials over 25 years is adequate - these guys could have done a Mahabharata instead, and using a different approach from BRC or RSK.

Plz forgive me If i have said anything wrong. I strongly feel that making this third Zee Tv Ramayan was not a mistake but cutting or editing the scenes should not be done. The PH should not rush to end this show by cutting the important scenes and for high TRPs they should make a promo for the serial every sunday like how it was in the beginning. .

I will say that this Zee Tv Ramayan is the best ever serial made. It is really just like the Old Ramayan serial.

@Vrish We should keep in mind that all the actors and cast crew for working so hard with dedication and I feel this is and will be the best ramayan ever to be seen on TV.

Making Ramayan with simple language with lots of research, new 3D Animation Graphics, modern technology, lots of hard work, showing anokhaa adhyaay stories with lessons and teachings to be learned and implemented in real life after each episode is really worth to be appreciated.

No offence taken - everyone has a right to different opinions.

The reason a lot of people didn't like this third serial is that there are a lot of other mythos left unexplored. Since the time this was contemplated, DkDM came up, and filled up an important gap in Shiva-centric mythology. On the Mahabharata, there was BRC & RSK in the 80s/90s, but none in b/w, and then there were some attempted serials, like 2 on Krishna, and now, on Star Plus, the Mahabharata. Then there are other stories, like those of Vishnu's other incarnations, and so on.

So no, I don't mind there being another Ramayan, it's just that after 2, it wasn't as interesting, although some of the cast were great - particularly Lakshman.

I do agree that scenes should not be cut, but that's exactly what we're now seeing. So given that, I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect them to show the Uttarkand part of the Ramayan. That chapter has been rather badly done by all serials, and Sagar Pictures, unfortunately, has a poor record of the serials it's done - be it JSK, DBSK or now this.

What I'm hoping for is that they show the rest of the serial - up to Rama's rajyabhishek - properly, and then wind up in a dignified way. Not that I'm expecting it.
