ASK 22-year-old Salil Mithani why he wears a t-shirt that reads 'Everyone likes to fcuk' and he says, "It's cool. It means I don't care what the elders say. My parents had a big problem initially, but now whenever they travel, they get me a FCUK tee!" Fourteen-year-old Zara Shroff says her snug-fit tee with 'Bitch' emblazoned in silver across her chest "shows major attitude." "In the last six months, there's been a 20 per cent increase in sales of tees with wicked messages," says Manoj Vijaykumar, CEO, , an online t-shirt supplier. Swear words and sexy puns are what collegians and infotech guys are ordering. Even where buyers are allowed to design their own t-shirts, slogans sent in are ultra sleazy. According to social psychologist Dr Harish Shetty, "They're making a statement and enjoying its shock value. Also, they are wearing their carnal desires on their chest in print." Tantra's Ranjiv Ramchandani says, "The media markets sex and today, a product has to walk the thin line between what's acceptable and what's not." Pictures of couples copulating, slogans that cover every subject from condoms to the Kamasutra, it's evident that sex is as much on people's clothing as it is on their mind!
