I think it was mentioned earlier in the show that her late husband wanted her to keep him alive by wearing sindoor and be like a suhaagan.

Only problem here is that how the villagers who are questioning the sanskaar of ansubaa's family over Bhoomi's kidnap don't say anything about Ansubaa's suhagan roop even after her hubby's death. Being old fashioned villagers, they must have spoken bad of this also na?
