Marriage- a necessity or compulsion?

Is marriage a necessity, or a compulsion?
(substantiate your reply with examples if possible!)

It's definitely not a compulsion. I think it's more of a choice out of man's necessity for a companion to share your life with.

i think marriage is a necessity.... i mean every person needs somebody to share their life with...ofcourse there might b friends n relatives..but they may not always be there for you.. there's always a need for that one special being who understands u well n luvs u more than anybody else in the world..

i think its necessity .. as we can't spend whole life alone and need there some one with you at good as well as bad phase of life to support you ...

I don't think Marriage is a neccessity....

Friends are always there for u to share ur happiness and sorrows...If we have friends then we don't need a life partner..
Lil wierd thought..Is n't it.?....I don't know but i think marriage is not necessary....If i get a chance and my parents permit i can leave my life without getting married independently....

Neccesity

U need a person to be with.. to take care of and taken care of 😆

for some it is compulsion n for others it could be a neccesity cuz like u dont hav to get married to have a partner to spend ur whole life with...i mean u can be in a livein relationship .. not get married n still have someone who will love u n will always be there 4 u ...so i dont think its a neccesity

For me, I'd love to get married if I find someone, why not?! I'd rather enjoy marital bliss than maybe something like live-in which Pinky suggested!

neway till date i dont see the need of marriage and am happy with my single life and am living my "life to the fullest"...but on the other hand I'd always prefer marriage over co-habitation…personally I think it makes ppl more commited ...am not saying that in live in relationship there is no commitment...but i personally believe this commitment is little bit more in marriage coz if the relationship starts failing...or may b just because of some petty problem, ppl in co habitation are more likely to leave to find the "right partner" as they have nothing invested in it.
