Its not just Balaji or Ekta doing this..all history dramas I seen do this. I watched some American history dramas and most were far from the truth.

Well. I have seen a number of American and English historicals, including the Helen of Troy of History channel. And none of them followed the history exactly. As someone already said, the majority of audience do not care about history. And honestly, this is not a documentary. This is, as Ekta claimed, loosely based on a movie. A movie. Not history. If we start following history, then was Jodha even real? Was there even a hint of romance between the relationship of Akbar and the so called Rajput princess? History cannot be followed in half measures, if one is to follow history then there is no point in showing the romance of Jodha and Akbar at all. This show follows a movie. Not history. And even with that, there are a number of historical facts done just right. Also, we already had about hundreds of posts regarding how the show is completely fictional and stuff. We get it. We do. 😉 And people on the India forum are not the people you want spread historical awareness to. They already know. 😆 And the show, after the first few episodes, has also toned down the character of Jalal, which was the main worrying point. Rest of the distorted facts do not portray anyone in particularly bad light, as of now. So, even with with the apparent distortion, the show is not creating any negative aura. And people who really care about history, need to read books, and stop watching movies and tv shows. 😆 Hope I didn't offend you or anything. Just my perspective.

Great minds think alike 😆 That's what I said, just a correction is that the documentaries are to the point and historically correct. Mostly. 🤣
