Today he told Purvi that he is not taking sides between Soham and Sachin, that is such a lie! If the roles were reversed and Sachin had been the one to leave the house, Manav would have turned Mumbai upside down looking for him.
I agree, Soham was wrong, but Sachin was not without fault either, and isn't it a parent's job to help their children understand their mistakes and teach them how to be better? Not scream at them and let them run off in anger. I hope Archana comes back and really gives it to Manav, but she probably won't. Everyone for some reason is scared of Manav, I am not liking the way he behaves towards Soham at all. And Sachin see's this and learns from Manav, which is why he also will never accept Soham. Manav is setting such a great example!

i started disliking manav since the day he supported every stupid thing ovi did. but he crossed the line when he started this nonsense behavior wid soham. i feel he has failed as a father coz there is only one kid from the whole lot who is a bit sensible and that is teju. rest are plain selfish or stupid. why does he expect soham to change over night? he simply yelled at soham coz he raised his hand? what was he suppose to do when sachin was busy instigating him, shut his mouth and listen to sachin's nonsense. why does manav want him to change over night? does he even understand his own son's situation due his upbringing? archana is way better in handling soham. i am just hoping when she comes back she yells at manav for his doing. if soham goes back to his old ways, it is nobody's fault but manav's. he needs to stop being such a hypocrite coz since day 1 he has never shown a lil bit soft attitude towards soham and neither has sachin so expecting respect from him just coz they are are his father and elder brother respectively, is stupid and they have no right considering they have done nothing to help him change. they have simply added to his troubles.

What I don't understand is why Manav finds it difficult to be a little soft towards Soham. I guess the boy needs time and wants solace not humiliation. Humiliation is the worst form of punishment for anyone even a criminal. He should remember that the rules of the house were known by the children of that house since the days when they were born..but in Soham's case he seems to be having to learn it differently.
I always felt that Manav has changed since he started working with DK and earned more money - he has lost it completely...he has no control over his family or his children ...Ovi and Sachin are way too arrogant ...in fact he conveniently or otherwise forgets that Sachin is the one person who together with his mother tried to separate him from his wife by creating a false divorce paper and mind you after all his fathering and parenting to bring him up as an educated individual of value to society. But Soham on the other hand continues to do good work and is not cared for because he was once a goon. What if people continue to insult him that he's showing off with his money whereas in reality he was actually a mechanic and no better than any of his neighbours back then - and what if ppl insult his mother for always arguing with neighbours inspite of having such a rich life.
What I also don't understand is that Manav cares so much about his mother these days but I remember there was a time when his father meant more to him and he would seek him for advice and not his mother cos he knew the man had sound advice and today when he actually needs it the most he refuses to even ask his opinion.
Scolding Soham for raising his hand on the elder bro is fine but it should have stopped there and then he should have asked what the matter was and NOT INSULTED HIM.
