Chapter 7-
"Hello, Sharon." There it was; the bold and commanding voice of Mr. Rai Prakash.
"Dad?" she looked worried, as if she knew this was coming.
"Yes, Sharon, DAD! How is everything going? Is your dance school good?"
"Um dad, why did you call all of a sudden?"
"Why, I can't check up on my lovely daughter? By the way, I wanted to let you know, I will be coming to New York City for a business trip. I hope you don't mind me coming over to meet you. I haven't seen you for years now!"
Sharon put a concerned look on her face. 'What about Swayam,' she thought. Her mind wanted to say something else but she knew it was inappropriate for the time being. "Why would I mind?" she managed to say just this without acting as if it were said forcefully. Sharon's dad quickly wrapped up the call and hung up. Sharon placed the phone on the table and looked confused. She didn't know what to do, how to stay close but far from Swayam. She finally found him but she still has to let him go.
Sharon grabbed her phone and purse and went outside. She decided she needed some fresh air to cool off her mind. All the thoughts were running through her mind; of Swayam, of her dad, of the gang, everything. She went to her favorite coffee shop, The Dream Cafe, and grabbed a seat by the counter. The waiter had come to her and she ordered her daily, a "Mocha Caramel Iced Coffee, with whipped cream, made with cream and sugar."
Sharon took a deep breath and tried letting everything go. Just as she felt relaxed, she heard a familiar voice. She identified it and promised herself she wouldn't turn around to see. She felt a warm hand touch her shoulder and she had no other option than to turn and spot his face. The face that had always longed love and care. The one that loved her even with the scratches and scars in Sharon's past.
A sweet smile appeared on his face as if they were meant to meet at the coffee shop. "Hey, Sharon!" He spoke, in the captivating voice he had. "I had a feeling you would be here." Sharon was dumb mouthed and had no clue as to what to say and how to react.

Swayam didn't know where to go. He was lost, not in the real world, but in his mind. Everything hit him like a bunch of nails. It hurt, but he tried not to show it. He didn't want to meet Sharon, or did he? "Why must this always happen to me?" He screamed, telling the world of all the pain and suffering he was going through. He just couldn't take it anymore.
The streets of Manhattan were busy, as always. Yellow cabs going around, squeezing through any space they can for money. People crossing the streets, without taking sight of the cars passing on the roads. Everything was normal, except for Swayam.
Swayam found that maybe some time alone would help relieve all the stress and pain. He resumed his walking until he spotted a cafe. He was very fond of coffee and small coffee shops. He read the name before going inside. This sign read: THE DREAM CAFE. He took a deep breath, pulled open the door chiming with a wind chime, and walked into the cool breeze welcoming him dearly. He spotted a table very close to the bar counter and took a seat.
When the waiter walked toward him, he ordered one of his favorite drinks; mocha latte with whipped cream. He waited patiently, easing his mind of tension and thoughts. As everything escaped his mind, he spotted a very familiar silhouette. One so familiar that he had to get up to clear his doubts.
Swayam slowly pushed out his chair and lifted himself up. Her hair, so dark and beautiful, blew as the wind pressed against it. She giggled to the guy standing close to her, very close. It was as if they shared a personal relationship, one that gave him the right to touch her in any way he wished. She turned her head halfway, clearing Swayam's doubts. Why was she here, with this guy? What relationship do they have?
Swayam walked up right behind her and took a deep breath. He put his hand on her shoulder and spoke. "Sharon?" She turned, along with the guy she was with. He was speechless.
