1.i like serials which have some sense and some logic , i love serials which shows n have d courage to question the society with a good story line n no rona dhona , no saas torture n bahu drama n no husband going all my maa is right , my maa is my first priority even if she is wrong we have to do wat maa is saying cauz she is my maa
n i m happy that chanchan is not doing nything i said above n dats y i love watching it
2. i started watching chanchan cauz of sanaya , but i started forcing my family to watch chanchan cauz of the storyline which for me is going gr8 n now dey dont need ny force ...at 9'oclock my mom rings me on my mobile n says its chanchan tym come fast 😃 n my father has all smiles for chanchan the show n even for sanaya , n my cousin who hate watching saas bahu drama said today chanchan is far far better den wat comes at 9 on other channel now at my place apart from my dadi everyone watches chanchan dat counts to 8 memebers 😃
3. i love chanchan cauz of the way she handles the situation , in recent epi she could have easily proved her saas wrong n would have achieved family trust but she wanted to see y her saas is doing such thing she is not mad dat she cant see her son's happiness den y she is doing such things n den we came to know abt UB's past n y she have dose values n y she is hell bent on not changing dem n d audience ended up sympathizing UB ...
chanchan decided to know UB's intention before exposing the truth so dat she dose not end up with a broken family
4. i love chanchan cauz it dosent say dat traditions r not important but says dat traditions r part of der life not der life ...one should have the freedom to choose wat dey want to follow
5. chanchan started wid the topic of dwory system which is still der in Indian families , in villages it is as strong a custom as it was in 90's but in cities it has became a status symbol ...n dat is wat chanchan said in dose epis ..dat we still give dowry in the name of gifts, status symbol n wat will the society say crap
6.it says dat being modern dosent mean u have to live in a seprate house n for u only two things matter ur husband n ur kids ...it means dat we believe in logics , dat we believe lets consult the doc n also do the pooja , it means i will keep a fast if i want too not cauz my family is forcing me to do so
7. modern doesn't means dat if u have a wife who is not dat educated u go out of ur home n have an extra marital affair , it means dat u make ur wife educated n help her to understand ur wants
(n this is not dat big a deal n i can from my personal experience one of my nani was a school principal , cauz of some reason my mama has to marry a gal who was not even 12th passed ...my nani brought her home as her bahu ...gave her classes at home ...gave her higher education n made her feel equal in the family ...as all my mama n mami were degree holders in masters n PHd's) ...dis is wat modernization is
8. i love watching chanchan cauz it dosent tell us its fine to be modern but it tells us being modern dosent mean dat we dont have values n principals
9. i love the fact dat it comes wid the small small issues joint families generally faces in day to day life which is very real like dat how bahu's cant eat wid der husband , how husbands dont pick up der used dishes to the sink , n now the latest chicken pox drama ...
i can totally relate to all dese cauz i come from a joint semi traditional family with a modern mom lyk chanchan 😊...n d dialogues r also very real yesterday dialogue dat dadaji used " tum bhi chulle pe khana banao tumhari saas bhi chulle pe khana banati thii gas pe nai "...i dont know how many times my mom used dis line to convince the family wen she wanted sumthing to be changed
m saying it again n again ...if u r watching chanchan for romance n love story u r watching a wrong serial ...n if u r watching it for saas bahu drama again a wrong place for u
chanchan is a serial of modern bahu n a traditional saas n how dey both live under the same roof , how bahu make saas understand dat its not wrong to be modern
n i m happy the way the episodes r going , love the speed in which dey open a issue n resolves it in a weeks tym
it has not came up wid the theme of how d bahu came to be a IPS officer n even after 1000 epies she is still washing dishes on the floor n working in her kitchen
or how a bahu comes from america n try to prove how good she is n ends up in wat ever crap she is in right now
