MA BK, Ruqs, Hamida bano, Bakhshi bano thy all r his very close even he didn't let hoshiyar to refer pinash begum by her mere name.. pinash is legal weded wife not dasi...that discusting jallad Cvs wanted to portray earlier in no where to seen now,,... he respects women which he clearly told to AK...that he never did n will force himself to any woman.
so yes!! he is making jodah his begum ...so he will take care that she will not be disrespect by other.. what ever be his relation with her...
MA k sathh aaj UFF ho gae... the look jalal gave him was the look of emperor gave to her mere subject ... the scene was not hilarious but very interesting, amusing n expressing but this is not the first time jalal deny her.n show her that he is the eperor.. I love the scene when MA was on his feet pleading but he didn't gave a single look nor he bother to bow and pick her badi ammi up...he just answered AK allegation and leave .dint give single look of kneeled MA.

I agree kind of with your post of Jalal respecting the woman who are "his", but I found in today's episode that when he was speaking of Jodha he should not have spoken about Jodha infront of his servants.

For instance, he said how he would have loved to have seen her facial expressions change when she gets the news of their wedding, but who is he talking to? It would be different if he had a close friend, or if he was talking to BK about it, but not an advisor or the servants who can hear everything he is saying...

And then when he says the line about Jodha being his wife in every way...well he did imply and MA definitely understood his meaning that he wants to give everything to Jodha but essentially take away her freedom and joy in life. I don't think it was fair of him to give that impression to MA. So on one hand he gives her that look, but on the other he indirectly gives so much power to her by letter her know that he just wants to control Jodha, not give her true peace and respect...

Hope I make sense, but in my opinion he is acting anything but respectful, and I'm sure he is going to continue this facade for a while.

i think it makes for good drama but I am not finding him respectful. I like watching it because I know things will change but that's how I see it.

I just can't wait until Jodha burns the wedding lengha and shows her spirit right back at him.

Jalal didnt need to marry Jodha , he could have got her either way or at the most she would have commited Jouhar...
But not only is he marrying her but will also allow her to practice her religion,,,,,,,,Its not a small thing...He is taking huge political risk at the begining of his carrier...
He was shown talking abt Jodha not with servants but to himself.
As for burning clothes , all rajwanshis in this serial are shown lacking in grace and royality...So I am not surprised...

If you think that he didn't need to marry Jodha you are right that he didn't need to marry her for political reasons. But when it comes to his need to marry her...oh he definitely has a NEED and needed to fulfill that by marrying her. Wow that was a lot of needs in that statement...😆

Ummm...Why are they lacking grace and royalty...She obviously burns the lengha in retaliation to Jalal writing the letter to her that has been shown in earlier SBS shows. The burning of the lengha is in my opinion all about acting like Royalty...who else in that day in age has the guts to burn a lengha that probably cost more than her entire wardrobe put together...It is a very ROYAL statement to make that declares there is no way I am going to get married to you in clothes of your choosing. I may be marrying you to save my kingdom but do not think that you can dictate everything to me.

You think that by him ALLOWING her to practice her religion its a big form of generosity...not at all. In fact servants in his palace already practice their own religion and he appears to allow that, although we haven't actually seen him say it in words, SO its not a farfetched idea to think that he is tolerant of that.

Also in today's episode he essentially said that she has to follow all his orders, such as wearing a veil...or at least that's what they translated it as in the english subtitles...so I am NOT impressed with his show of POWER by his words because it doesn't need to be said that in those days a husband had ABSOLUTE control over his wife.

Jodha's former in laws to be - they were so cheerful and so amazing. Even in present times, in laws can really make a difference in a husbands and wifes relationship...BUT in this Mughal Palace they seem to have and take no responsibility in ensuring that Jodha is HAPPY!!! Yes...it is their responsibility, regardless of whether Jalal wants to rule over her or not...Its so shameful that Jalal never said to MA that he wants Jodha treated respectfully by her, especially when she made those earlier comments.

DISCLAIMER: but as this is a tv serial I do not expect or require perfection or even near perfection...this is just me rambling on how I would like my Jalal to be...

If her father apologizes then he makes her look like a fool and admits that what she did is wrong. Its neither right or wrong...she does it in the pique of her anger and she must live with the consequences of it. She is the one that has to now be aware that her actions may have consequences and that she is no longer going to be the pampered daughter...or as in suryabhans house she would definitely have been the pampered daughter in law.

As for her changing...its going to be a power of wills. How do you want her to change. She's idealistic, but that isn't a bad thing. She sees the good in everyone and this Mughal Palace doesn't appear to have even one ounce of happiness or good in anyone. Seriously...they both need to change TOGETHER...doesn't that sound more cordial??????

Ofcourse all these kings had hindu servants both males and females...Infact Ziaud-din-barni, a historian of medheival India writes gleefully that strict policies of Allud-din-khilaji has reduced rich hindu woman working as maids in muslim households...
Jalal was the first who married hindu woman and gave them legal status , allowed them to practice their religion...Gave their relatives respectable positions...It was a path breaking decision...
That is why he is called Akbar...
As far as how royalty behaves...Well royals never show theirn emotions publically...emotions are kept under check...The real Jodha , a woman of 16th century made Akbar bend but certainly not like this as political consequences of such actions would be very grave...
You can watch Maharana Pratap how Rajput kings and queens behaved.😆
