Usually yeah. Like Saif for Hum Tum, Arjun for Rock On and there ws some controversy with Satrughna Singha having a role in getting Raveena Tandon the award. ( i thought she deserved it). But I do feel they are slightly bias towards BW A-listers.

Aishwarya Rai.

Hands down owns all the Bollywood ladies that came during her era, and even up until today! The media is crazy about her, and until her pregnancy all the big movies were offered to her first. It was thanks to her rejections that the likes of Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra got ahead.

Let be honest. Why is the media so crazy about Aish? It's easy. Cuz she gived birth to the grandchild of BW biggest legend AMITABH BACHCHAN and she always 'used' that family background for the media. They were on so many shows and events with Abhishek. Then there are also so many family pictures and statements from Amitabh about his daughter in law.

It's obvious. If Rani would've done the same with the Chopra Family (Yash, Pam & Aditya), she would be even bigger today than she is already and the media-hype would be crazy around her.

So like I said the 'media' hype around Aish is not the achievement of her work where with Rani it is. None of us can't deny that.

How did she use that family for media? She was already an extremely popular person before that. Infact, most of her biggest achievements have happened BEFORE she was a Bachchan

If anyone is "using" anyone its Rani. Who used god knows who to get all her roles and now is milking the cow that is called YRF

I never said she wasn't famous before. Don't wrest my text. I only explained why there is 'still' so much media-hype around her which you talking about so proudly 🤪 and the difference of both careers and the way the families deal with the press.

I'll surely not defend Rani here for her decision. Of course she's clever, too . Both of them choosed the most powerful families in Bollywood. None of them are angelic 😉. The only difference is: Ash and the Bachchans made it official and always talked to the media about everything and represent themselves as a storybook family . But there's nothing wrong with that. If you give the media what they want, they''ll refund you.
