Hello guys! It's me Zarna, back with another story of AsYa. My first story was so well appreciated and supported that I was given the idea by 'PreetK- to write this story. Needless to say that I was inspired by her to come up with this TS. Three shot! The TS kind of goes off of what the previous OS about Bunty and Chintu was. But you know, I hate waiting for writers to update because the stories get me so hooked! So for fun, I have typed out all the three parts and will update it daily. So in three days the story will be complete!

Hopefully you guys like the idea. Writing on this forum only for the second time so please excuse any mistakes/errors. By the ways chappals of size 9.5 can only be thrown at me. I don't like tomatoes but feel free to chuck cake if you like!

"Zoy'I can't find a bloody thing'Zo'what the hell is this?" Asad mumbled to himself holding up a pair of what seemed like plastic candy dishes.

He pulled away from the messy cupboard to examine the item closely with furrowed brows when Zoya walked in with his cup of coffee. "What are you doing with my bra?"

Instantly Asad held the "bra" at an arms length. The put the other arm behind his back to assume his famous Mr. Khan pose all the while scrunching his nose. "This is a BRA?!"

"Well of course it is. It's meant to be backless. Or do you not remember taking it off for me last'"

"Zoya'" Asad warned her. He turned around and put the bra back where it was meant to be. He blushed secretly as the thoughts of their honeymoon popped into his mind. Only a month ago they had returned from Verona. Zoya had insisted that he take her there, the birthplace and setting of Romeo and Juilet. He had initially rolled his eyes at her foolishness but then gave in. There was never a demand of Zoya's that he wanted to go unfulfilled. He wanted to spoil her.

"Alright Bunty. Can you please just tell me where my watch is? And'ZOYA. I swear to god, what have you done to my wardrobe?" He had begun to rummage through the cupboard for his watch when his hand landed on an old slice of Pizza.

Zoya bit her tongue. She silently tiptoed behind the fuming Asad and wrapped her hands around his waist. She had to stand on the tips of her toes to place her chin on his shoulder. "Sorry Chintu. I forgot. It won't happen again." She pecked the side of his neck sending goosebumps through out Asad's body.

Asad put his hands on top of hers. "well this is an awkward position. Isn't the man supposed to be spooning the woman?" Asad thought to himself. Well nothing about their relationship was normal anyway he concluded. With a huff he resigned himself and turned around. He snuck his hands around his wife's waist and gave her support to lean on as she was still standing on the tips of her toes. "Please Bunty, I just need my watch. I'm running late now. Please'just'my watch."

Zoya felt a weight drop into her heart. Her husband had never once said no to any of her demands. But she felt for the first time that she might have taken advantage of him. The project he was working on was very dear to his heart. Dilshad Constructions was teaming up with an investor from Dubai to build a boarding school for women education. She was helping Asad come up with ideas and gave him insight into what the school would require but ultimately, it was Asad who was doing the majority of the heavy lifting. For the first time since their honeymoon she saw a weary look on her husband's face. He was dead tired.

"Asad'" Zoya purred. There was an instant smile that was etched on Asad's face when he heard his name from Zoya's mouth. It brought up his spirits the way no cup of coffee could. Zoya reached down and broke out of his grip. She grabbed his left hand and held it up for him to see.

The couple both looked at the watch on Asad's arm and looked up at each other. After a minute of staring they burst out laughing. After minutes of hollering into tears, the happy couple was interrupted by Asad's buzzing phone. With a swift peck on Zoya's cheek he was out the door.

Zoya smiled and looked around the room. She tied up her hair and got to work. Asad had done so much for her. It was time that her husband came back to a clean room.

July 14, 2014

She had tried. And that was enough for him. Sure his room wasn't as neat as he would have liked it to be but it was eons cleaner than it had been a week ago. The cleaner room had also given him a peace of him. He smiled at the mess that lay in his cupboard a week ago as he put on his watch. He snapped the clasp and was about to turn around when'

'thud! He was pushed up against the cupboard.

A pair of soft lips pressed up against his.

Then he felt his wife press up against him.

His eyes were bulging out of their sockets, as he was still confused as to what had just happened. He felt zoya deepen the kiss and put her arms around his neck. Before he could even respond fully to the kiss she pulled away leaving an astonished asad still pressed up against the door of the cupboard.

Zoya took a couple of steps back smiling mischievously. She winked at him and bit a side of her lip seductively. She continued to back up. Asad was slowly regaining consciousness and realized that his extremely bashful wife had just planted a big one on him.

"Who'*cough*'that was'" He stood for a loss of words.

"Asad beta'there is a phone from your office. They said that you were meant to be in for a meeting thirty minutes ago." Dilshad entered the couple's room carrying fresh laundry.

Asad stood there with his mouth agape. His aami smacked him a little on the arm. "Hello! Earth to Asad. Come on beta, you will be late!"

Asad nodded, still unable to speak, and began walking out of the room as Zoya and Dilshad walked him to the front door. Once outside he turned around to give one last look at his waving mother and wife. Zoya was hugging Dilshad from behind and she winked at him. Asad's jaw dropped. She blew him a kiss and he walked straight into the trunk of his car.

"Oh my god! Asad. Please be careful! Watch where you are going! Where is your mind these days?" Dilshad chided him as Zoya struggled to stifle her giggles.

"Who'Aami'" He began but stopped at the annoyed look on his mother's face. Dilshad hated with Asad stammered like this. He cursed his fate and got in the car. What had gotten into Zoya! She was never this flirtatious. He was immersed in his thoughts throughout the entire drive to the office. As he parked the car he promised that whatever had gotten into Zoya was enough for him to teach her a lesson about toying with one's husband. The lesson though, he ruefully thought, would have to wait till tonight when they were in the privacy of their own room.

Asad held onto all the boxes for dear life. One mistake and all the ladies of his house would have his head. He tiptoed precariously over the hoards of people, each giving him a scathing look. He looked around apologetically to all those he was disturbing. But what could he do? He was given a demand and he had to fulfill it! No longer did he feel like Asad Ahmed Khan, the protector of his family. He felt as if he was another Asad Ahmed Khan, a whipped brother, a fearful son, and his wife's servant. He smiled at how much Zoya had changed him. Normally he wouldn't be caught dead in a place like this. Much less at night. Much less with his sister and mother. But he didn't have the heart to say no to the three of them. He walked carefully towards his picturesque family.

"Pop corn without butter, Nachos, and Cadbury for Najma." He said as he handed her sister her goodies.

"Samosas and a diet coke for Aami." He passed his mother her snacks.

"A giant popcorn with butter, extra salt, diet coke, and Cadbury with almonds for Zoya." He handed his eager wife the box of chocolates and settled down next to her. He looked at Aami on the other side of Zoya and Najma to his left to make sure all three were comfortable.

The lights of the theater dimmed as the movie began. Asad couldn't recall the last time he had been to a movie. He smiled as he put his arm around his wife.

"Thank you'" he whispered in her ear.

"That thank you will change into I hate you really soon Chintu."

"Why?"

"Because Bunty is about to go ape shit over Bunny!"

"Who the hell is Bunny?" Asad wondered. His questions were soon answered as Ranbir Kapoor came on the screen dancing with Madhuri.

He heard all three women sigh at the same time. Shocked that his Aami would blush over an actor he begrudgingly took some popcorn and settled in for a night filled with "Ohhhss and Ahhhss" from the crazy women in his family.

July 28th 2014

Asad chucked his bag and tie away on the couch. He couldn't care less where they landed ' that's how tired he was. The dinner with the clients from Dubai had lead into a debate over which engineer to hire for the school. It was 1am and Asad was tired. He took off his shirt and unbelted his trousers and let them fall on the ground.

He continued to walk towards his bed leaving a trail of shoes and socks. He climbed into bed in his boxers and instantly wrapped his right hand around Zoya. He pulled her closer to him in a swift motion causing her to wake up. He let her kiss him and wrap herself around his clad body before both fell into a deep sleep.

August 4, 2014

Zoya ran to the bathroom. What was wrong with her? She put her head down over the sink and that was it. That is when she had lost control. Tears streamed down her face. She didn't like this feeling. Whatever it was. She continued to pour out the contents of her stomach into the sink. She was sick because she had cried. Or was it the other way around? She didn't know what had gone wrong. But she needed to fix it.

There was knock on the door of the bathroom. Zoya quickly splashed water on her face and gargled. She opened the door to a very worried Dilshad. She hugged her mother and broke down.

Dilshad was unable to bear the extent of Zoya's weight on her and the pair collapsed on the floor with Zoya heaving. Dilshad understood. She patted her hair and calmed her down. But silent tears still emerged from Zoya's eyes.

Najma who had returned from college went around looking for her mother and best friend. She found the pair hugging, both crying silent tears in her brothers bathroom. She knelt down to examine the pair with questioning eyes when her eyes fell on the state of the bathroom.

She opened her mouth to scream when Dilshad shot her a warning look. A confused Najma bent down and consoled Zoya who hugged her. Dilshad shifted her weight to hug both her daughters.

No words needed to be said. Dilshad and Najma had understood what Asad had missed. Zoya didn't need to say anything to either of the two yet they both understood. This was the extent of the bond the women had come to share. They had spent more time with each other than Asad had; because they were always home together.

As both of Dilshad's daughters' cried silent tears on her shoulder Dilshad mustered up a long lost courage from her heart, the courage that had kept her going when Rashid had left her.

She spoke softly but sternly. "You have a mother Zoya. You have me. You will not become your mother. You are not your father. You are Zoya Asad Khan. My Son isn't Rashid. You both are my children. And my children are more than capable of handling this situation. My children are not weak."

That was all Zoya needed to hear to face this head on.

August 11, 2014

Zoya clasped Najma's hand tightly. The past week she had put on a front, lied to her husband, been scared out of her mind, but all the while had found the strength to accept her fate. She would be lying to herself if she said she wasn't scared. She was scared out of her mind. It was times like this she wished her mother had been alive. She had so many questions. A gentle hand on she shoulder reminded her that she did indeed have a mother.

"Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan?" the clerk called. Zoya stood up with a newfound strength and zeal. Najma and Dilshad walked into the room after her, hoping whatever fate had decided, Allah would give them the strength to endure it.

August 18, 2014

"I have to talk to Zoya. Enough is enough. I gave her space like Aami told me to but I can't ignore the fact that she has been lying to me for weeks. Hell she can't even deny that she has been lying to me. I can read it straight on her face." Asad thought on his way home from work. All day he wasn't able to focus on work. Zoya had slept in and missed breakfast again this morning. The past few weeks had been hell for him. He knew there was something wrong with her, something she wasn't telling him. She disappeared mysteriously for hours on end. All she did was sleep and drink water. Why was she so thirsty?

Almonds. Why was she eating so many almonds? She didn't even let asad get intimate with her for the past few weeks. Had he done something? He recalled Zoya crying one day when he had gotten back from work. Something was wrong and he had to find out what. His anger got the best of him as he parked his car outside the Khan mansion.

He burst open the door to his house to find it completely dark. THIS IS WHAT HE MEANT! Zoya had disappeared again! Taking his aami and his sister with her again. Where were they going? Were they in some kind of trouble? Had tanveer'?

He stopped cold. That must be it. There was only one time in his life where he had seen Zoya disheveled and that was because of his lying cheating friend. He was sure of it. Tanveer was back.

He walked into his room in the darkness and was met with a roar and a blinding light.

'SURPRISE!"

His sister, wife, and mother jumped up at him, each wearing a silly party hat. They threw confetti at him as he looked around in confusion.

"What the hell is going on?"

The women exchanged surprised glances. Najma finally broke the silence, "Did you forget your own birthday Bhaijan?"

His birthday. That was today. Asad blinked.

So this is what they have been up to! He smiled as his eyes threatened to overflow with tears. He looked around the room and saw a big chocolate cake, lights all around the room. For once the room looked tidy as a banner hung over it. There were a few presents on the couch. Suddenly there was a boot that smeared his couch with mud. He looked up and saw his brother Ayaan enter the room. He casually chucked a wrapped box at this bhaijan, "Happy Birthday Bhai." He turned around to help Nikhut and Nizat into the room followed by Humeria. The three girls took turns to hug their brother while placing their gifts on the couch.

Asad turned around and saw the seven most important people in his life chat excitedly while his wife brought him his birthday cake lit with a single candle. He looked at her loving face in the glow of the candlelight. She smiled at him.

"Make a wish Bunty." She told him as he was about to blow out his candle. The rest of his family sang happy birthday asad.

What more could he want? He had the perfect family right here. There was no wish in his life that hadn't already come true. The people that went to extreme lengths to give him the best surprise of his life. As he blew out the candle as his gaze met the banner above the room.

As he read he froze with fear. He looked at Zoya who beamed. He shifted his gaze back to the banner. The singing in the room stopped.

"Happy. Birthday." He read each word out loud carefully, "Soon. To. Be. Papa."

"Finally. The Man can read!" Ayaan joked. His sisters shouted simultaneously congrats.

Asad was still frozen in confusion. So this party wasn't the real thing being hidden from him. He was going to be a dad!

Zoya understood Her husband's plight and spoke softly. "We thought this would be the best way to tell the best son, brother, and husband in the world that in a few months he will be the best father in the world."

"How do you know? I mean how did this happen?"

"I think Bhaijan needs to go back to school and learn 10th grade biology." Najma joked.

"I think it is self explanatory how it happened!" Zoya fumed.

"But what if I'm not? What if I'm not the best father in the world."

"ALLAH MIYAN!" Zoya screamed in exasperation. "you are right. I don't know. I don't know about anything. But then again, we didn't know what we were doing when we got married either. But we'll figure it out."

"But we just got married'"

"Oh really, I didn't know."

"It's so soon."

"You're telling me."

"Zoya'"

"Asad please. Stop talking. You know when I found out I freaked out? But Aami told me something. We are her children. And we are not weak. Allah has decided we are ready. So he alone will give us the strength to endure."

"Zoya'"

"WHAT ASAD?!" ZOya screamed as the rest of the family tried to continue to stifle their laughter.

"I love you." He hugged his wife wholeheartedly forgetting that his family was watching and hooting.

Now, he had everything he ever wanted.

Now, his family was perfect.

August 15, 2014

"Asad'"

"Yeah?"

"she's the size of a raspberry."

"What is?"

"Your brain."

"what are you talking about Zoya?"

Asad looked up from the paper he was reading and looked up at Zoya who was carrying his cup of coffee and crying. Perplexed he stood up and carried her into his arms. He carried her into their bedroom and put her on the bed. She burst out crying, sobbing all over his shirt.

He was utterly confused. What had he done? Was she rethinking the pregnancy?

"Out into'.*sobs*'.and'.she's so tiny'"

"Zoya, please calm down. Tell me what's wrong?"

"OUR BABY IS THE SIZE OF A RASPBERRY!!" Zoya cried even louder. A worried Dilshad and Najma came running to the door. They met the eyes of a very shocked and confused Asad. He asked for help but Dilshad shook her head and smiled at the doorway as Najma held onto her aami to stifle her laughter.

"Is that good?!" Asad tried to help.

Apparently that was the wrong thing to say because Zoya stood up fuming. "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PREGNANCY DO YOU. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU. IF I ASK YOU HOW MANY RUNS SACHIN HAS MADE IN HIS ENTIRE LIFE YOU CAN TELL ME LIKE THE BACK OF YOUR HAND BUT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THE SIZE OF OUR BABY!"

"well zoya, you are just barely only 8 weeks along. Doesn't that mean it's really tiny?"

"TINY! IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE? TINY. ASAD AHMED KHAN. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ON GOING THROUGH ALL OF THIS."

"but zoya i don't really know anything about this stuff." He admitted lamely as he blushed and looked longingly at his mother and sister for help. They both continued to stand at the doorway and let Asad endure the wrath of Zoya.

Zoya just cried harder.

"okay, how about this. From today onwards, you and me are going to tackle this together. I haven't don't this before, and neither have you right?" Asad tried to rationalize with Zoya. She nodded wiping her tears with the back of her hand. He held her other hand and gently guided her back onto the bed. He held her by the shoulders. "I want to be in this with you. I'm sorry that I haven't been. But from now on. It'll be a team effort okay?"

Zoya nodded. Dilshad and Najma finally intervened and sat on both sides of Zoya. "And we're here to help."

"And I think, that it's really cute that our baby is the size of a raspberry. She'll be the cutest raspberry in the world!" Asad smiled trying to pacify Zoya.

Finally he saw the dimpled grin he had been waiting for.

"She? Does that mean it's a girl?" Najma asked.

"I'm hoping it is." Zoya answered truthfully.

"Oh a granddaughter! How exciting!" Dilshad said.

"Just what I need. Another crazy woman in my life." Asad mumbled.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Najma, Dilshad, and ZOya screamed simultaneously.

"Nothing. Nothing at all." Asad got up and looked at zoya questioningly, almost as if asking her permission to go to work. She blinked a yes. He pecked each of the three women's foreheads and ran out of the house before he endured any more hormonal tantrums.

"I have got to pick up some books on my way home." Asad thought to himself as he started the car.

August 22, 2014

Zoya went to go pee again. Asad watched her out of the corner of his eye. That was the third time since dinner. He got back to his book What To Expect When You Are Expecting and read, "9 weeks ' schedule a pre-natal visit if not already done so."

Before Zoya could get back, he picked up his cell phone and dialed Prasad's number. "Prasad I need you to schedule a meeting with Dr. Patel. No, Dr. Zarna Patel. The famous Ob/Gyn. Yes I know you are an architect. As soon as possible. And Prasad'Thank you."

Asad ended the call and placed his hand on the bridge of his nose. He heard Zoya puking out her dinner in the bathroom.

"Why did they call it morning sickness if it happens 24/7?" He thought ruefully as he walked to the bathroom with lemonade for his wife.

August 29, 2014

"Remember Zoya, that you will only be barely be able to hear the baby's heart beat. So I think we should just focus on the basics. I read that we should just inquire if the baby is the right size. Also, let's ask for a copy of your vitals. To keep track. I think it's really a good idea that we track how you are doing ourselves too. To make sure that the Doctor doesn't over look this. Although I don't think we need to worry, Dr. Patel is the best OB/GYN I could find. I think it's best and smart that we opted for an OB because you never know what will happen. Of course, nothing will happen. Don't worry Zoya. Nothing will happen."

Zoya smiled as she looked at the babbling Chintu beside her. He was driving at barely 30 miles an hour. He was afraid that he would encounter something unexpected on the road and he didn't want to harm the baby. Over the last two weeks she had seen her husband become a protective father. Even though the baby wasn't born Asad now was protecting the child as well as Zoya with all his might. This meant that Zoya was receiving double the attention she normally would. Not that she was complaining. She was frankly scared out of her mind about the pregnancy. She hadn't managed to tell Asad all this, he was scared enough for the both of them.

Asad grit his teeth as he parked the car. He was beyond terrified. There was so much he wanted to tell Zoya. So much that he needed to tell her. How he was afraid. He wasn't sure. He opened the door for Zoya and helped her climb out. He held her hand firmly as they walked into the clinic.

"Mr. and Mrs. Khan." Asad informed the clerk as Zoya took a seat. She looked around the room. The other mothers where huge! Her eyes bulged and she looked down to see her own tummy. Was she going to be that huge one day? Well, she knew that she would be getting big soon enough but this was a bit too soon? Was it not?

"Well how soon do you want it to be ZOya? It's a baby. It won't grow according to your needs. It has a mind of it's own!" She thought to herself as Asad joined her taking a seat next to hers.

Asad looked around the room and saw the husbands of the wifes smile excitedly towards their wives. How could they be so excited? Why wasn't he excited. "Because after all I am Rashid Ahmed Khan's son." He thought. This meant that there was a high likely hood of him being the same ignorant father. He wasn't sure what type of father he would be. He wasn't sure what a father's love was, and if he wasn't sure what it was how was he supposed to provide it? He had poured over books upon books since Zoya's pregnancy announcement. However, he didn't know what would happen once the baby came. What if he hurt it? Dropped it? The babies in the pictures looked so tiny. As thick as his bicep maybe, if not smaller. He could easily hurt the baby.

Asad Ahmed Khan was worried. But he didn't let it show when he looked reassuringly over to his wife.

ZOya wasn't sure what a mother's love was meant to be. She didn't even have a mother. What was a mother supposed to do anyway? She had always just fended for herself. She had grown up not needing a mother. That didn't mean that she didn't want to be a mother, she just didn't know how to be one. What if something happens to the baby. What is she supposed to do then? What if she does something to hurt the baby? She had no idea what she was doing up until this point. What if something went horribly wrong?

The couple was broken out of their reveres to the sound of their name. "Mr. and Mrs. Khan, please follow me."

They got up hand in hand and followed the clerk into the check up room. "Mrs. Khan please change into the robe and have a seat the doctor will be with you shortly."

Zoya hesitantly picked up the robe and headed for the bathroom as Asad nervously paced the room. Zoya got out of the bathroom in her gown and stared at Asad who gave her a piercing gaze back. She looked beautiful even in the horrible gown. A glow about her. A mother's glow shone through her skin and hair. She was even more beautiful than he could ever imagine.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Khan. My name is Dr. Patel and I'll be the doctor getting you through your delivery." Dr. Patel strode into the room interrupting the couple's private moment.

"Mrs. Khan, please have a seat!" As Dr. Patel watched Mrs. Khan sit on the examination table, she understood what was going on. "Okay, first of all please everyone take a deep breath in." The couple looked back at her quizzically. They thought she had lost her mind. "Please, just trust me. Take a deep breath in. And a deep breath out!" The couple obliged and both instantly felt a little at easy. "Now, from what I gather, this is your first pregnancy. And you two are relatively newly married. Yes?" Mrs. Khan nodded.

"So, let me be the first to tell you, it is okay to be scared out of your minds. So before we proceed, I would like for you to admit to each other if you are scared."

Zoya looked at Asad who returned her gaze.

"I don't know how to be a mother or if I'll be a good mother."

"I don't know how to be a father or if I'll be a good father."

They both spoke at the same time.

"Are you kidding me? You'll be a great father."

"Are you kidding me? You'll be a great mother."

They spoke again at the same time

"You are not your father asad."

"You are noth your mother zoya."

They spoke again at the same time.

Dr. Patel stood transfixed, staring at the couple in front of her. They were so much in sync with each other's inner thoughts. Then the strangest thing happen, they both burst out laughing. They hugged each other. "Bunty and Chintu best Jodi hai, dekho kitne fatoose (scaredy cats) hai." They both joked.

Dr. Patel smiled at their private joke.

Finally the checkup proceeded as normal. "Now, Mrs. Khan, I have to ask if you have given any thought to how you want to proceed with the birth? A natural birth, epidurals, C-section?"

Zoya held Asad's hand for comfort, "Natural. But can I have the epidural on standby if I change my mind?"

Asad, " Why would you change your mind?"

Zoya, " I'm allowed to change my mind. Since i am the one carrying the baby, i get to decide." She was fuming.

Dr. Patel decided to diffuse the looming hormonal outburst by changing the subject. "Okay Mrs. Khan. That's great to hear. Now, the urine sample we collected will yield results and we can talk about them next week. Now, the blood test will also be back then. Now, I think your pregnancy can be termed normal. Now if you are ready we can begin with the ultrasound to see how your baby is doing!"

Zoya leaned back nervously as her gown was lifted to reveal a toned belly, which would soon be expanding.

Asad sat next to her on the chair and held her had. His eyes on her. She was his first priority now.

"this will feel a little cold," Warned Dr. Patel as she squirted the gel on Zoya's stomach. Zoya winced a bit but was soon distracted by the monitor. There was tiny little jelly bean like thing in there. Was that it? Her child? The proof of her and asad's love? It was so tiny. How can something that tiny make her feel so complete?

"that's my baby." She squeezed Asad's hands and instant tears flowed from her eyes. She heard the weird heart beat and that's when she knew. Even though she didn't know what it was like to have a mother's love, she would do everything in her power to make sure that the baby, her baby would have all the love in the world. She would work to give her child everything she didn't have and more. She didn't care at that point that she didn't know how to be a mother. She was up for the challenge. And after the longest time, she felt like the old Zoya Khan, one that had gotten lost ever since her meltdown in the bathroom.

-x-

Asad heard her gasp. He closed his eyes. Afraid to look at the monitor. But when he did look, what he saw stole his breath away. Instant love. Instant attachment. That's what Asad felt when he looked at his child. He was in love with his child. How is that even possible? Even with Zoya it took months for him to fall in love and admit that he was in love with her. But this little person had instantly hooked him in a spell. Then he heard it. The weird heart beat. He closed his eyes as a tear escaped his eye. The heart beat managed to etch a permanent hold in his brain, heart, and soul. His child. His child would have a father, Asad decided, that would devote his entire life to protecting and providing for him or her. Even if he didn't know what that responsibility entailed. He couldn't wait to find out. Because for the first time since he had found out about Zoya's pregnancy, he was excited to meet his child in a few months. He couldn't wait to be a father.

The weird heart beat echoed through the room as Dr. Patel furrowed her eyebrows. Then relaxed.

"Mrs. Khan, You are about 10 weeks along. Safe to say, you are ending your first trimester soon. Your babies seem to be healthy and fine. Soon we will call you in for another ultrasound. We will monitor your pregnancy closely. There seems to be nothing to worry about."

Zoya stood up as the lights flipped on and the gel was wiped off of her. She got dressed and came out of the bathroom. Instantly she felt Asad's arms around her. Oh how she had missed his embrace. It seemed that the old Asd was back. The couple didn't speak a word but stood there taking each other in as they both silently hugged and cried together.

"Don't worry Bunty, we can do this." Asad murmured into her shoulder.

"I know Chintu," Zoya replied. They broke apart and looked at each other's crying faces and laughed. They laughed because they were back the old Asad and ZOya were back.

Suddenly their laughs subsided.

Both of them blinked away their tears and stood in confusion.

Unable to speak they turned to Dr. Patel who nonchalantly stood in the corner of the room.

She was smiling.

They looked at each other again.

"Did'" Zoya began pointing to Dr. Patel

"No'" Asad said

Zoya took her other hand and pointed the other one to Asad. "That's'"

"But that's'" Asad stammered.

Dr. Patel burst out laughing at the lunatic couple in front of her.

Asad and Zoya stood there with their mouths agape.

They both turned towards Dr. Patel and asked at the same time, "DID YOU SAY BABIES?!"

Hey guys! I hope you liked this part! There are two more to come! I will update them as long as people like it and want to read more!

Hey guys I'm back with another update! Most people are wondering about the time I will update everything! Well you see I updated the first part at 5 am, which is a different time in India. So I try to update every day before noon. But by then it is already like 9:30 pm in India. So sorry for the time difference, but I hope you will keep reading my TS!

Also another couple of misconceptions I want to clear up:

1) no I'm not a doctor but I am pre-med, applying to medical school this cycle for next year. So feel free to throw up a prayer.

2) No not married, I'm 21.

3) No kids either. See number 2.

4) I learned all the stuff about pregnancy online

5) learned about the fears parents have online. Hopefully i got them right!

6) No these are not personal experiences. See number 2 and 3.

7) yes, my feet are really that big lol.

8) yes i love black forest cake.

9) really, i really hate tomatoes.

10) yes, I am a girl =]

11) If you want a PM just buddy me! I send them out to all my buddies J

12) I got this idea from –PreetK- and the novel One Day

13) Yes you get to see a glimpse of Zoya and Asad each week on the same day. If you notice the dates go up by a week

14) my name means waterfall

15) I would rather be stuck on an abandoned island than eat a tomato (many people are curious why i hate tomatoes. They are so red, it freaks me out)

Hehe i like it when people ask me silly questions! We get to know each other that way J

Here is the second update I hope you guys like it! It's long so bear with me. Please don't hate me if it doesn't live up to your expectations.

September 5, 2014 (12 weeks pregnant)

Asad received a low clap on his hand, and then he turned to give a low clap to Ayaan's hand. The brothers both snapped their fingers and fit bumped side ways, ending their famous handshake.

"Wow Bhaijan, I was right! Bhai ka dil dariya samundar hai." Ayaan said as he wrapped Asad in a bear hug. "Not one niece but two of them! How exciting."

"Excuse me. How do you know if it is going to be two girls?" Humeria chided her fianc.

"Because, I have a way with women. I always know when they are present. It's like a sixth sense." Ayaan said popping his collar.

Humeria grabbed his ear and twisted it as Ayaan whelped in pain. "No way," Said Nikhut, "it will be two boys!"

"Yes! This family already has way too many girls! I'm praying for a boy!" Said nizhat.

"NOOO! Stop. Everyone. Be fair yaar. Obviously it will be one boy and one girl. Right bhabhi?" Najma turned to Zoya. She was still in a daze. She and Asad had woken up to their four brothers and sisters who had heard the news from Dilshad. They hadn't even noticed the couple hugging each other in their sleep or how quickly they sprang apart when they heard their door being burst open.

Dilshad brought tea in the room for everyone. As Asad and Ayaan took their places on the couch the girls all settled in around Zoya who was still partially covered under the covers. Zoya smiled sheepishly at her milk.

"Just tell them what the doctor told you Zoya…tell them the genders." Dilshad smiled cunningly.

Zoya blushed and looked at Asad. He took a sip of his tea and blinked a long blink. With a green light from Asad, Zoya began to open her mouth but was stopped as Ayaan stood up abruptly and shouted, "WAIT! Let's make a bet. Who ever is right about the gender has to treat everyone to ice cream. Deal?" He looked around to meet the gaze of his 3 sisters and fianc. They all nodded excitedly.

"The babies are…" Zoya began.

Everyone's faces started to tense up.

"Girls…"

Ayaan stood up and fisted the air.

"and or boys." Zoya finished.

Everyone's jaw dropped.

"What?" Najma asked.

"We want to be surprised." Asad said. "I don't care weather it is a boy or a girl. I just want them to be healthy."

Everyone stared at the Asad Ahmed Khan that had just spoken these words. Was this the same man who a few months ago had trouble expressing his feelings?

Ayaan was the first to break out of the shocking moment. "Mona Darling, I must congratulate you." He walked over and shook Zoya's hand.

"But you already said that Rabart!" Zoya said confused.

"No not for making me a chachu. For turning my sher of a brother into a sherni. By the way bhaijan, this 'I-just-want-my-babies-to-be-healthy' line is meant for the expectant women. Chaalo. No matter. At least this way the kids will get a double dose of a mother's love." Ayaan finished. And then he ran for it with Asad at his heels. The brothers ran around the house until Ayaan came back to Zoya and Asad's room and jumped into bed with his Mona Darling and hugged her.

"MUJHEE BACHAOOO!" Zoya roared with laughter. Asad stopped knowing very well that he wouldn't hurt Ayaan when he was so close to Zoya.

As Zoya's laughing subsided she turned to Humeria, "Chaalo. Now your kids will also get a double dose of a mother's love."

The family burst out into laughter as they looked at the fuming, yet cowardly Ayaan.

September 12, 2014 (13 weeks pregnant)

Asad started his car and began to drive home all the while getting lost in his thoughts. Aami and Najma were out to visit a relative in Dubai for two months. He fully expected Zoya to be passed out when he came home. In fact, that's all she had been doing for the last 3 months. Sleeping. And eating.

His heart broke for her when he saw how tired she was when he came home from work each day. The truth was he was tired too. The project of the girl's boarding school was taking a toll on him too. He was working over time. He hoped that Zoya wouldn't find out that along with visiting relatives in Dubai, Aami and Najma (part shareholders of Dilshad Constructions) were attending meetings on his behalf and helping the orphanage project, this way he wouldn't have to travel. They had agreed to go when they had seen how reluctant Asad was to leave Zoya. After their first visit with Dr. Patel, they had a new found faith. The first heart beats that they heard, that's when he knew. That's when Allah's strength poured into the couple, giving them strength to embrace parenthood.

But when he had heard about the twins, he had felt the wind rush out of him. Normally, you would think that since the news of one baby had scared them so much, the news of two babies would give them heart attacks. But it was the opposite for Asad. He felt giddy. He remembered how he had hugged zoya and lifted her and twirled her around in the room. He had hugged Dr. Patel and shook her hand vigorously. Zoya was jumping up and down. He smiled as he remembered what Dr. Patel had said, "Most people are happy that they are pregnant with one baby and scared when they find out they are having twins. Not the other way around."

"But then again, since when is my relationship with Zoya normal?" Asad thought as he parked his car outside his house. He opened the door quietly as he thought that zoya would be sleeping but he was surprised to see the state of his house. His jaw dropped.

There were jeans everywhere. And tops were just tossed around. Most of them inside out. "Be calm. Count to three." He braced himself. "Zoya!" He called out.

He found her in their room. Wearing Dilshad's night gown. She was crying in the corner of the room hugging Asad's shoe. "Why the hell is she hugging my shoe?" Asad thought. He sighed.

He sat down next to her. Apparently, she didn't want him near her because she threw the shoe she was holding at him. Asad caught the shoe. Even though he was surprised, he didn't yell at her. This only made Zoya cry harder. She reached around and grabbed Asad's tie and hugged it and continued to bawl.

"Should I say something? What if it is the wrong thing to say? Why is she awake anyway? Shouldn't she be in bed?! Wait…no! Don't say that. She'll cry harder. So what do I do? JUST SIT HERE. Don't move. Let her cry it out." He finally decided. He shifted so his back was against the wall and he wrapped one arm around Zoya. She leaned into his shoulder and just cried. After a few minutes she stopped.

"Bunty…" Asad began. "Why are you hugging my tie?"

"Because blue is my favorite color." Zoya replied in between sniffles.

"OH YES! That makes perfect sense. So sit here and cry hugging my blue tie you friggin' lunatic!" Asad thought.

"Oh okay. And Bunty…my shoe?" Asad asked, treading carefully.

"Because it's so BIG!" Zoya answered. She picked up her head and looked at Asad with widened eyes. She was so amazed by a stupid shoe.

"Dear lord." Asad thought. He kissed Zoya on her forehead. She gently put her head back on his shoulder and smiled. Asad reached over to the nightstand and grabbed the TV remote. He turned on the TV and switched to cartoon network where Johnny Bravo was playing. After an episode of the Loony toones and Ed, Edd, and Eddie Asad broke the silence. "So why are you wearing mom's night gown?" He finally asked.

Zoya frowned as she looked up at him. She tried to stand. But was hiving difficulty getting up. So Asad swopped her up in his arms and placed her on the bed. As she sat on the edge, he knelt down and put his chin on her knees. She slowly and carefully lifted her gown a bit to reveal swollen feet. But there were also veins that had popped up. The kind you see on old women. Asad looked up at her and saw tears forming. She then placed her hands on her lap. It was then, that Asad saw what had truly upset Zoya.

He saw a tiny bump forming. It all made sense to him then. Her clothes didn't fit. The jeans were too tight. The tops were stretching near her abdomen. He looked up at Zoya and smiled. He kissed her forehead. Her cheeks. Her stomach. And then feet. He snuck his hands towards the soles of her feet and rubbed them. After a few minutes, the swelling went down significantly. Zoya smiled at her husband tears forming in her eyes. How had he understood so much when she had said so little? She ruffled his hair.

As she moved to get up and out of bed. He pinned her back down. Then she remembered. The doctor told her not to get up too fast because she was prone to dizzy spells. "Go take a nice long shower Zoya, I'll get dinner." Suddenly realizing how tired she truly was She got up slowly without protest and headed for the shower"

She truly thanked her lucky stars at how she had gotten Asad as a husband. When she came out of the shower wearing another one of Dilshad's gowns, she saw that all her clothes had been folded and put in boxes. Asad was sitting on the bed with dinner at hand.

"Come here. Sit. And eat." Asad made a motion to feed Zoya but he was stopped.

"You think I don't know how tired you are either?" Zoya said as she fed Asad. She continued to feed both him and herself until dinner was done. As Asad put the dishes away, Zoya waddled up behind him in the kitchen and hugged him. He smiled and turned around and took Zoya in his arms and kissed her softly on the lips. It seemed that these days they were so in sync with one another that they didn't need words to talk to one another. There were many evenings like these where they would barely speak words to one another but grow so much in their relationship.

As the couple walked hand in hand back to their room, Zoya noticed for the first time a pile of bags on their couch. She looked at Asad puzzlingly before going to check them out. Asad climbed into bed, and sat against the headboard. She unwrapped the bags to find jeans. Only these jeans had stretchy thick white bands around them. Maternity jeans. The other bags had tops that were flow-y and a bit big. Maternity wear. This time Zoya was crying for a different reason. As she climbed into bed next to Asad hugging him with his head on her shoulder, she asked, "When did you buy these."

"the day after my birthday." He replied before falling asleep instantly in Zoya's arms.

September 19, 2014 (Week 14)

It was early morning and Zoya was already up and out of bed. Her belly was a little bit bigger that it was normally meant to be but still not big enough to show visibly that she was pregnant. People would just think she is a bit chubby. She took an extra long shower as her body had starting aching everywhere. She let the warm water sooth her aching back and swollen feet. As she rubbed soap all over she realized that soon she would have to go bra shopping. Her boobs had doubled in size over night. Okay, maybe that was an exaggeration. But she hadn't even noticed until she felt her bras becoming too small underneath the maternity wear Asad had brought. And thank god for those clothes. In the past few weeks, nothing from Zoya's old wardrobe fit her anymore. She was gaining weight, no one could deny that.

Suddenly she felt arms snake towards her encircling her waist. She turned around smilingly at her husband. He looked down at his wife drenched in the steamy shower. As she met his gaze, she couldn't help but realize how hot Asad looked as the water from the showerhead dripped from his hair onto his cheek bones. They hadn't been intimate since the pair had found out about the pregnancy; afraid they would harm the baby, even though they knew better.

"I thought, we should conserve water." Asad said.

"Oh really?" Zoya giggled.

"Yes. Because of you and your extra long hot showers, the water bill is through the bloody roof!" Asad exclaimed.

"Your fault entirely." Zoya murmured as the couple then turned to ravish each other and released the anticipation that had built for 3 months.

September 26, 2014 (week 15)

"Mrs. Khan, your babies are doing just fine. But I am going to advise you to take more folic acid now because of this revelation in our last check up. Also, now you will come in to see me every 3 weeks instead of four. I also have Dr. Dev Patel on stand by for you in case of an emergency if I am not there. He also makes house visits so if anything happens I want you to call him." Dr. Patel explained as she handed Mrs. Khan the doctor's card.

"Now Mrs. Khan, listen to what I am about to say very carefully. With twins there are always risks. Your term won't be 40 weeks but in fact close to 36 – 37 weeks. Technically you are still in your second trimester but this trimester will be the shortest. This means your body will gain anywhere from 30-40 pounds now. I recommend no more than gaining a pound and a half each week. Yes, week." Dr. Patel smiled at Mrs. Khan's bulging eyes. From the last time she saw her Mrs. Khan had definitely sported a growing belly. She was found leaning back to walk now. She knew it was a matter of days before her feet disappeared all together.

"It is also my job to tell you all the risks involved with this pregnancy. Because you are carrying twins, the risks are higher." As Dr. Patel explained the risks she also said that they needn't worry as most of them were highly unlikely in Zoya's pregnancy. But all Asad head were the ways his baby could be harmed.

"Oh no. Hell. No. Zoya is no longer allowed to do anything. Not move. Not do anything. At all." Asad vowed as Zoya and Dr. Patel giggled at a joke she had made.

October 3, 2014 (week 16)

"ZOYA SIT DOWN." Asad yelled. A scared Zoya sat back down on the couch which was surrounded by pillows. Her husband had lost his damn mind she thought. She sat on the couch with elbow pads, knee pads, and a helmet. A FRIGGIN HELMET. She looked across the room where she saw the city's best architects huddle with her husband as the construction workers drilled and sawed into the Khan Mansion.

"Madam, which room would you like?" One scared looking interior designer asked her. Zoya looked through the sheets and picked a neutral yellow colored room. She had been given strict orders from her boss that she would build any type of nursery that his wife selected in no more than 3 days.

"Oh excellent choice madam!" the designer said. And instantly she got to work. Zoya was confused. But more so she was hungry. What she really wanted was some Hide and Seek biscuits. As she made to get up, she was glared into sitting down by her husband from across the room.

"Madam, do you want anything?" A worker asked.

"yes, a normal husband." She said exasperated.

"Ji?!" the worker looked confused.

"Prasad. Hide and Seek biscuits. Top shelf in the kitchen." Asad called over. As the worker quickly scuttled into the kitchen Zoya smiled. Asad had been tending to her cravings. Now no one could mistake her for being chubby instead of pregnant. She had gained so much weight it was clear that the woman was carrying twins. Though her arms stayed normal, most of the weight she gained was around the abdomen. That's not to say her boobs hadn't gotten bigger either. As Prasad handed Zoya the biscuits, she tore open the packet and took a cookie to her soft lips. Still staring at her husband as if he were a lunatic.

"I want every doorway in this house to be widened by 5 inches. Also, baby proof each and every door, drawer, cupboard in this house. It shouldn't snap on any my children's fingers. I want the windows to be child locked. Also, a couple of you, crawl on the floor. This way you can see at eye level everything a child can see. Whatever is dangerous mark it with the red tape. I want all sharp corners to be baby proofed as well. Nothing loose or hanging. I want safety carpets on the stairs. Also i would like extra railings on both sides. I want a Jacuzzi in my room. A GIANT BATHTUB. Also, attach no slip tiles on the floors of the kitchen and every bathroom in this house. I want automated blinds, alarm system, a hook up to the nursery of both audio and video cameras, and an intercom system to be placed throughout the house. Prasad, I want the safest house on the planet. Understood? Mr. Bhattia. I want the nursery to be built exactly like the picture. If a single thing is off I will have your head. Is everyone clear on the rules?" Asad ordered.

"Yes sir." The workers replied. Then they split off. The hammers and drills continued to whirl as Zoya saw the man who had gotten her the cookies, Prasad crawl on the floor with several others.

She picked up her phone. "Aami, your son has lost his mind." Zoya cried when Dilshad picked up. She explained to her how Asad would yell at he if she tried to stand up without his help. And in the last few days he would refuse to let her climb the stairs and insisted on carrying her. He was afraid of letting her take a shower in case she slipped and fell and demanded that she take baths. Which is why he was having a Jacuzzi installed. He made her wear this stupid helmet all day long, even to bed! He was afraid he would hit her in his sleep. He had bought a U pillow for her to sleep around so nothing would touch her belly. As she finished her rant, she heard dilshad and najma roaring with laughter in the background.

"He's just worried for you. He doesn't want anything to happen to you." Dilshad said.

"yes, but isn't this going a bit overboard?" She inquired.

"Beta, you have to understand that this is for your own good! You know how dangerous even the smallest slips and falls can be. And beta, you know how erm…prone to accidents you are." Dilshad concluded.

"true aami! I guess you are right." Zoya concluded. "i miss you guys."

"we miss you too. We'll be home in one month. Don't worry beta. It will all be okay." Zoya hung up the call and looked up as asad approached her.

"Three days. Crawl Prasad! Not walk. That's all you have. When we return I want my house to be perfect. Understood." Asad gave his final order and swooped up Zoya in his arms and placed her in his car. Or she should say new car. The brand new 2013 Volvo V40. It featured a revolutionary pedestrian airbag.

The car would eject an airbag from in front of the windshield to act as a cushion between pedestrians and the hard parts of the car's engine and body. It came with brake systems, which used sensors to avoid crashes at speeds under 35km/h, if the driver fails to react.

Asad kissed her on the lips as he buckled her in and gave her a packet of grapes to munch on.

"Next stop the farmhouse!" Asad clapped his hands as he began driving of for his "babymoon" with his very pregnant wife.

October 10, 2014 (week 17)

2 am.

The clock in Zoya and Asad's room read 2 am. But Zoya could not sleep. The house had been renovated spick and span. Everything was baby proof. Or rather, Baby and Zoya proof. She tossed again. She got out of bed to get water when she heard Asad's voice. "Zoya, what are you doing in the kitchen?" Asad asked in a sleepy voice.

"Getting some water. I was just uncomfortable sleeping. My back hurts." Zoya said gulping down the cool water. Zoya shuffled her feet to the fridge to grab a carrot when she was stopped by Asad.

"here let me…" He offered.

That was it. The last straw. For the last 2 weeks Asad had treated Zoya like a helpless child. But this was too much.

"I CAN GET IT MYSELF." Zoya screamed.

"I know you can. It's just the fridge is in the corner of the kitchen and there's not a lot of space to maneuver around it." Asad replied calmly as he handed Zoya the carrot, her latest cravings.

"What did you say?" Zoya seethed.

"There's not a lot of room bunty. I was just trying to help." Asad answered helplessly.

"ASAD AHMED KHAN. WHY DON'T YOU JUST STICK A BLOODY "WIDE-LOAD" SIGN ON MY STOMACH AND HAVE ME WALK AROUND LIKE THAT ALL DAY. SINCE IM SUCH A FAT WHALE THAT I CAN'T EVEN MANUVER AROUND A FRIDGE?!" Zoya screamed.

Asad imagined a tshirt with the sign imprinted on it:

"Hmm…that's not a bad idea…" He said out loud.

SLAM! Zoya had retreated to their bedroom. Asad mentally slapped himself for voicing his thoughts. When he went to go into his room he found it locked.

And that's how the great Asad Ahmed Khan spent a week sleeping on the living room couch.

October 17, 2014 (week 18)

"Mr. Khan. You are being too overbearing with your wife. Pregnant women need to be able to walk around. Be healthy. Get out. Get fresh air. If you keep doing this there is a chance that Mrs. Khan will feel that she is unfit to be a mother. Increasing the risk for PPD. Listen to me Mr. Khan. I know you are worried. But those risks I told you about last time, they are present with everyone in the world. But by coddling your wife and not letting her exercise, be happy, you are increasing those risks." Dr. Patel chided Mr. Khan in private after the visit. She had found out from Mrs. Khan how he had behaved since their last visit.

"Mr. Khan if you are worried, ask me all the questions in the world. But by wrapping your wife in bubble wrap is not the answer…yes she told me you tried to do that to her. Seriously? Bubble wrap?!" Dr. Patel giggled.

Asad took a deep breath and blurted out everything. How he was afraid he would hurt Zoya in his sleep. Or she would slip and fall. Everything. Dr. Patel took the time to answer his questions patiently and efficiently. Asad signed a breath of relief at the end of the conversation.

"Here is a copy of your sonogram Mr. Khan," Dr. Patel handed him a C.D. "I'll see you in three weeks."

Dr. Patel left Asad who was thinking of the ways he would beg Zoya for forgiveness. "Oh, and Mr. Khan?" Dr. Patel turned around. "That nursery is truly gorgeous."

October 24, 2014 (week 19)

"Mona Darling, Slow down! Or Bhaijan will have my head on a platter." Zoya walked speedily towards the food court. All she could think of was the fudge sundae. Nikhat and Humeria ran behind Zoya and Ayaan. Nizhat was the fastest of the three but she was in college now.

"One triple chocolate meltdown sundae please." Ayaan ordered. It had been months since he had seen his darling Mona. So much had changed in his life. The girl he couldn't stand he loved. The girl who got him beat up on a regular basis was his bhabhi. His brother had literally turned into a romeo. And his brothers and sisters were closer than ever. If only his abbu could join in on the fun of Mona Darling's pregnancy he thought sadly.

Mona licked her lips as she devoured the sundae in 2 minutes. Nikhat and Humeria stared at Zoya. From their line of vision you couldn't tell Zoya was pregnant. That was because her bulging stomach was hiding beneath the table. As Zoya tried to get up out of the chair Rabart dashed to her side holding her arm and supporting her back at the same time.

"Easy Mona. We don't want Rabart's life to end before it has had a chance to start right?" Ayaan joked. Zoya laughed. The four of them had finally been given permission by a reluctant Asad to roam the mall and shop for clothes as Zoya kept out growing her normal wear. Asad would have joined them himself but the Dubai project was finally coming to a close. Plus, it was time to bring his mother and sister home.

Zoya ran to the nearest shoe shop with her three friends in tow. She picked out a pair or orthopedic shoes but frowned at the size.

"Don't worry Mona Darling. I'll ask the clerk. Excuse me. Can you get this in a size 9.5?" Ayaan inquired. Zoya winced when he said her show size out loud. Tears lined her eyes. Shit. This is exactly what he needed. Mona crying. He suddenly had a mental image of his bhaijan burying him alive. "Mona. Why are you crying? Mona…it's just a shoe size. You know we all love you." Ayaan looked at his bhabhi with cautious eyes.

"Rabart…I…I can't…"

"Kya Mona?! Is something wrong? Does it hurt?!" Ayaan was literally sweating bullets. Humeria instantly dialed Asad's cell phone number as Nikhat dialed Dr. Dev's number. Asad had briefed the entire family about Zoya's safety; what to do when something was amiss. The only person who didn't know all of this was Zoya, she remained oblivious to how much planning was done by her family to take care of her.

"Rabart…I can't see my feet." Ayaan saw Zoya look down and just stare at her stomach. This had to be a gradual process, how did she not know her stomach had grown so much? She saw Nikhat hang up on Dr. Dev while Humeria explained to Asad what was going on in hushed tones. Ayan lifted an eyebrow at Humeria. Humeria asked Asad what to do. Humeria simply shook her head. Ayaan saw his Mona Darling try to look at her feet by bending sideways on both sides. She finally gave up. She looked happy. But why was she crying?

"Mona…I'm happy you can't see your feet?" Ayaan asked almost if asking her permission and testing out wether this was the response she was looking for.

She looked up like a child in a candy factory. "I CANT SEE MY FEET!"

She grabbed Humeria's phone and told Asad the good news.

As she walked out of the store excited and energetic, Ayaan turned to Humeria, "We are never having kids."

October 31, 2014 (week 20)

4:40am.

"Asad…" Zoya shook her husband.

Why isn't he waking up. "Asad!" Zoya said a little loudly.

"Hmm…" Asad said. Putting a hand on Zoya's belly.

"CHINTU WAKE UP!" Zoya shouted.

Asad sprang up like a pop up doll and sat up straight, "KYA?! WhAT HAPPENED? IS EVERYTHING OKAY. ARE YOU GOING INTO LABOR. OH GOD. I'M NOT READY FOR THIS! WHY ME?!"

"Chintu, stop being a drama queen. Everything is fine." Zoya said.

"Then why am I awake at 4am?" Asad grumbled.

"I'm hungry and i can't sleep. I'm too uncomfortable." Zoya said.

"So? There's food in the fridge." Asad said as he plopped back down on the bed.

"NO! I WANT FRENCH FRIES. RIGHT NOW." Zoya demanding pushing Asad off the bed. As Asad landed on his bum he stared at his wife shockingly. He got up and rubbed his bum.

"Where do you want me to get fries from at 4 in the morning." Asad said calmly.

"I don't care, " Zoya replied definatly. She crossed her arms around her giant chest and leaned back. "All i can think about is fries."

"And what if I refuse."

"Then I'll have to tell Aami and Najma and Nikhat and Ayaan And Humeria and Nizhat and Aapi and jiju how you were so mean to me…and * starts fake sobbing * how you couldn't do a simple thing for me." Zoya smiled evilly.

"Ohoo taailpur ki sheezadhi…no need to threaten me with your army of terror. I have some rights…" Asad stopped short looking at the sad look on his wife's face. He grumbled to himself as he went out of the room and into the kitchen where he peeled a potato. "Can't even say anything. First too much coddling. Now, not enough. what the hell. If i say yes i get yelled at. If i say no. i get yelled at. Then dhamkis follow. My army of evil will kill you. And they would. Each one of them would kill me if Ms. Sheezadhi cries." Asad grumbled to himself as he made her homemade French fries. A half an hour later when he carried the plate into the room filled with fries and ketchup, his jaw hit the floor.

She was asleep! After making him slave over a hot stove all morning, she fell asleep. Asad reprimanded himself at his last thought. Maybe ayaan as right, he was turning into a girl. He was furious. But his anger didn't last long as he saw a smile spread over Zoya's content face . She had her arms wrapped around herself, under her belly. As the wind blew the sheer curtain, asad climbed into bed and put his arm around zoya and another on her stomach.

He looked at her perfect face. The last couple of months had been hell for her and he knew. Her body was doing weird things to her. She was stressing out because of all the changes. Each time he took her to the mall to buy clothes and shoes she would grimace because she was climbing up sizes so quickly. She compared herself to the other women when they visited Dr. Patel, but he had to constantly remind her that she was the one carrying twins. She was uncomfortable sleeping. It was evident by how much she tossed and turned at night. The shock of her life was yet to come when last Friday she had discovered that pizza had started to give her heartburn. She had completely lost it and started crying all over the place. Aapi and jiju were called, hell her entire army had been called.

The sun's rays started to creep up. Asad instantly grabbed his new remote and lowered the electric blinds. His life had been made easier by a new security system and electronic hookups in his house from the renovations. He didn't want zoya to be disturbed. As she shifted and clung onto his shirt he realized how much she must have missed him. With the project coming to a close, he had been so busy often asking Ayaan and gang to keep her company. Putting the remote on the nightstand he grabbed his phone and texted Prasad. He gave the entire office the day off, lord knows that they were just as involved with their boss's wife's pregnancy as their boss was.

Asad shut off his phone and fell asleep with his chin resting on his wife's forehead only to be woken up 5 seconds later by Zoya's loud snoring.

November 7, 2014 (week 21)

"MOVE OVER I CANNOT SEE!" Najma yelled. Her Nikhat and Nuzhat fought. Ayaan being the tallest peered towards the screen.

Dilsad stood in the front with tears streaming down her face. Petite Humera stood in the corner of the room with a clear shot of the screen.

Dr. Patel laughed. She flipped a switch and came a projection onto one of the walls so everyone could see. The heart beats of the babies echoed through the room, silencing everyone.

The entire family clasped each other's hands silently, giving each other strength.

As Dr. Patel looked at all of their smiling faces stained with tears, she looked down to the couple who seemed to be in eternal bliss. "Hai bhagwan. I hope there is never a tiff in this relationship. I hope this family stays like this forever. Strong and united." Dr. Patel concluded her prayer for the amazing family before her.

Asad bent down to kiss Zoya's forehead.

Little did the family know that there was a tiff brewing, but a rift that was caused by Allah himself.

I truly appreciate from the bottom of my heart all the time you take to hit like and comment on my FS, especially since I am relatively new to the forum and have not really been writing for that all. Thank you all Truly. Also, sorry for the late update on part 3 I was really sick and took me a really long time to write this. I am sorry, but hope you like it!

…….

November 14, 2014 (Week 22)

Aapi and Jiju had flown in from New York since Anwar had received holidays for Thanksgiving (an American holiday.) Zoya thought it would be nice if she prepared a traditional thanksgiving meal for the entire family. On the morning of November 14, Zoya woke up with a new zeal. She got ready quickly before Asad had even had a chance to wake up.

The first trimester of her pregnancy Zoya had done nothing but sleep all day long. Tired from puking and the constant aches. Now, some reason, Zoya had a new found energy…..of course, that could have been from the amount of food she was eating nowadays. She spent most of her time looking like a beach ball. She walked towards the kitchen where she saw Dilshad and her aapi already starting to stuff the turkey.

"How come you guys started without me?" Zoya chided the pair of them.

Dilshad and aapi exchanged glances. "We didn't know if you would be up or not!" Aapi said. "No matter you just have your breakfast and come help us!" Dilshad nodded in agreement.

Zoya quickly gulped down her milk and stuffed her toast in her mouth when Asad strode into the kitchen looking debonair in his Deep plum purple shirt, black vest and grey jacket. She had always admired this combination. But today, something was different. She stopped mid bite of her toast to ogle at her husband shamelessly. As Asad sat down at the head of the table he saw his wife check him out with seductive eyes!

"She's looking at me as if she can see through my clothes." He thought to himself as he picked up his cup of coffee and began to take a sip. He choked and spluttered the coffee out when Zoya gave him a wink and made a kissy face. He cleaned himself up with a napkin and continued to stare back at Zoya with wide eyes.

Was this the same woman who had pushed him away two nights ago when he tried to give her a hug and then burst out crying because she thought she looked fat? What the hell is up with her sex drive? She's pregnant for crying out loud. She knows that we cant be doing this stuff. He thought to himself. He quickly finished his breakfast and turned to kiss a seated Zoya who was still chewing on the same piece of toast.

"Aami, I'll be home early. And aapi please let me know if there is anything you want me get from the…AHHH!" Asad screamed as he turned away from Zoya and started to walk away.

Dilshad and Aapi came running out of the kitchen. "What happened? Are you okay Asad?" Dilshad asked worriedly. Najma and Anwar also came from the living room to inquire as to why Asad had screamed. Zoya who had calmly gone back to chewing on her piece of toast, looked up at Asad with concerned eyes.

"Who…..Aami…..aapi I was just saying Juss…sayyy…paarr….Storeee….turkey ki liyeee…..butt…..nahi…..butt aapp kkoo...lekin…." he stammered. The family exchanged nervous glances. Zoya finally stood up with the help of Najma from the table and looked at Asad with worried eyes.

"Chintu…..weren't you getting late for work? I thought you had an important meeting with the clients from Dubai?" Zoya asked comfortingly.

"Yes-i-have-to-go-khuda-ahfiz-aami." Asad bid goodbye in one breath and ran to get out of the house as fast as possible. As he approached the door the puzzled family members soon dispersed, except for Zoya who followed Asad out towards the entrance hall. As he was about to step out of the house he turned around to look at the mischievous eyes of his wife. She licked her lower lips seductively and bit her lower lips. She waved an innocent good bye as a dazed Asad stumbled to his car.

"So that's what its like to have your butt pinched by your wife. I feel so violated." Asad thought miserably.

……..

November 21, 2014 (Week 23)

"Okay good night Asad, and Zoya….go to bed early please beta. You need to sleep!" Dilshad waved a last good bye at her son and her daughter in law as she climbed up the stairs of the new and renovated Khan mansion. She took one final glance at her son carrying Zoya into their room and sent up a prayer to Allah to always watch over them before turning into her own room.

Asad placed Zoya down on the bed gently. But Zoya kept her arms around Asad's neck pulling him to her. "Zoya….." Asad said before calmly pulling her arms off of him. She looked hurt. Oh god. Now he had done it. But what could he do. She looked like she was ready to pop any day now and yet she still had months left to her pregnancy. He looked down at the tiny arms in his hands. They were so thin. Stick like. While Zoya was gaining weight, he couldn't help but notice that most of the weight she gained was just going to her abdomen. In fact, her arms, face, legs were all becoming dangerously thin. Dr. Patel had warned them this could happen. But it was normal with twins. The body simply was shifting energy to where it needed it the most.

Asad turned around still with tears of frustration in his eyes. He had kept her on a diet. Monitored her weight gain and it was always a pound and a half each week. Yet she looked so frail. Like she would break any second. The last thing he wanted to was hurt her by getting intimate with her. But that seemed to be the first thing Zoya wanted to do. He walked towards his cupboard and took out his kurta and started walking towards the bathroom when he heard a click of the door.

"She probably needs to pee." He thought as he began changing into his kurta.

Zoya put both her hands on the sink supporting herself up. She knew that he was trying to protect her then why was she being so irrational. It seemed as if a sex-crazed teenager had decided to take up room in her brain. "What's a girl to do?" She said.

She went to splash water on her face. But she was shocked that she couldn't! Her belly had finally grown so big that she couldn't reach the knobs of the sink. Her hands were simply too short. "chi...chIIINNNTTUUU!" Zoya screamed. With a bang the door of the bathroom was slammed open and there stood Asad half dressed in his kurta.

He took in how innocent and cute zoya looked in her pink gown with her arms outstretched over the sink. "Standing? Check. Hair? Check. Babies? Check. Breathing? Check. Crying? Nope. Laughing? Nope. Labor? Nope." Asad went through a mental checklist making sure everything was okay. As his heavy breathing subsided he looked puzzlingly at Zoya. If everything was okay, why had she screamed?

Sensing his confusion, Zoya said, "I can't reach the sink. My belly is too big and my hands are too tiny!" She said half hysterically flapping her arms everywhere knocking over their toothbrushes in the toilet. Asad groaned and walked over to Zoya who still had her hands outstretched over the sink and was looking at him wide eyed with tears about to form. He took her by the shoulders and turned her side ways and turned on the faucet for her. She silently washed her face with one hand, her tears mixing in with the water from the tap. When Asad handed her the towel, she buried her face in it and started to cry.

"Okay…..now I'm confused. I thought she was happy being so fat that she had her own gravitational force. Now why is she crying?" Asad thought exasperatedly. He held zoya with his arms, pulling her close to his clad chest. Just don't say anything. Maybe it will stop he thought. And sure enough Zoya began spluttering out why she was crying.

"Butt…..its not my……fa-fa-ulllttt…..bec…**hic**….it's …….nott…..yourr…..faultt…..alll….youuu….." Zoya managed to yell at him in between sobs.

Asad closed his eyes. This whole pregnancy was really testing his patience. He looked up at the celling and closed his eyes, "just for 2 months. All I want is a coherent wife. Please. Just...2 months? Haven't I endured enough?"

Zoya pulled away from him abruptly and strode into their room leaving behind a confused Asad. She began throwing their sheets on the ground.

"Bu-Bunty…..what are you doing?" Asad asked quietly, as if he were a child who had been caught by the principal doing something bad.

'Throwing you out of the room Asad Ahmed Khan."

Oh he had done it now. She just used his full name. He felt sorry for his future kids for a split second, they would have to deal with such a ferocious aami. Then he smiled. This was the first time he had thought about his children and fantasized what they would be like.

Zoya turned around to see her husband smiling. Instantly infuriated, she threw a pillow at him, snapping him out of his reverie. "I'm mad and you are standing and laughing at me?! What a jerk." Zoya screamed.

"But why are you mad?"

"Because you are so judgmental!"

"Me?! What did I do?"

"You won't sleep with me because I'm too fat."

Is that what she thought? The woman had finally lost her mind. For the last few months he wanted nothing more than to have her. But she was hot one moment and cold the next. What was he meant to do? Truth was she was the most beautiful when she was pregnant. She was constantly smiling. Doing kid like things. And there was a glow about her. Her hair. She smiles. It was all-different. And it was constantly inviting asad, who had learned to exercise extreme patience for days when Zoya's mood winds blew in his favor. So far those days never came.

"You are an idiot." He finally replied.

"Oh really?" She huffed; putting both her hands on her hips staring at her shirtless husband and his perfect six-pack. Looking at him, she realized how hot he was and how ugly she had become. She sat on the bed and broke down crying once again. Asad walked over, got on his knees and placed his hands over Zoya's and moved her hands from her tear stained face.

"I have wanted you every day from the time we have been married. And I will want you every day until I am cold in my grave."

"Which may be soon!"

"WHAT?!"

"Because I'm going to kill you for lying to me. Why would you want me? Look at me!" Zoya gestured to all of her.

"Now who is being an idiot? I love what i see." Asad bent closer to Zoya's ear and whispered, "and i definitely want what i see."

"I'm not an idiot."

Asad swopped her up to show her how that yes, in fact, she was the idiot.

……..

November 28, 2014 ( week 24)

Something was wrong. That much was evident. Zoya hadn't said one word since Dr. Patel had bid them adieu at their visit. Asad just gripped the steering wheel tightly and continued to intently stare at the road. He wracked his brains for anything, anything that he had done to upset his lady love. But, as he parked a few minutes later at the Khan mansion, he came up short, lately Zoya was very contemplative. But of what? Everything was going smoothly in the pregnancy thus far. Then what was wrong?

He quietly got out of the car and went to open Zoya's door, lending her a hand as she tried to get up and out of the car. He continued to support a wobbly Zoya as he entered his house, only to find that disaster had struck it.

There were servants running around everywhere, flowers were being strung on spools of thread, cute little teddy bears adorned the house. Zoya cracked a smile in what had been ages as Asad's heart leapt. Those dimples did wonders to him. Dilshad walked up to a smiling yet confused asad and shouted, "BABY SHOWER!"

Najma, Nikhat, Ayaan, and humeria flowed into the guest room and guided the couple towards the couches where the girls immediately surrounded Zoya. Throughout the planning, Asad couldn't help but notice Zoya's eyes well up with tears, time and time again. What had he done?

"Okay Bhabhijan, everything is basically done. The event will be in a next week, here of course." Najma said while pressing Zoya's swollen feet.

"We have the caterers ready to go, all with your favorites. Kachori, Buffalo wings, popcorn, basically a giant junk fest." Humeria said as she handed Zoya a cup of milk.

"And the guest list is ready as well! We just need you to check it once more bhabhijan." Nikat said handing Zoya a small list of names. "We figured, you wouldn't want a high profile event. So just those that are closest to you."

Zoya took the list and smiled, but the smile slowly turned into a frown. Zoya stood up abruptly. Causing the milk glass to shatter. The rest of the family stood up as well, confused.

"There is a name missing." Zoya said firmly.

"Zoya!" Asad practically cried. "You have to stop this…..I know everything is going fine bu-"

"There.Is.A.Name.Missing." Zoya said temperamentally.

"Don't worry Zoya, we'll add whoever you want to the list. But-" Dilshad began.

"Whoever I want aami?" Zoya questioned.

"Yes. You have my word." Dilshad promised.

"Zoya…..who is it that you want?" Asad asked carefully, full well knowing the answer already.

"You forgot someone Nikhat, you forgot Rashid Ahmed Khan. My children's grandfather." Zoya turned to Nikhat and held out the list.

Everyone stood transfixed for a moment. Whatever Zoya said had shook everyone to their core. Dilshad gave a silent prayer to allah. Although she didn't have a problem with her ex-husband coming to the babyshower, she sure knew that her son will more than mind. In fact, Dilshad thanked god for such a daughter in law that understood how much Rashid had left out of this entire pregnancy. Even he was asad's father. Even he had a right over his grand kids, just as much as she did. She was glad, but she knew that it would only be for the time being. It will never be permanent. But for the time being she was willing to forget her sorrows, just like she had done at Asad's first attempt to marry Zoya.

But Asad wasn't having any of it.

"What nonsense is this Zoya." It wasn't a question. It was a statement. No way in hell was he going to allow any shadow of that man to cross his children.

"Nikat, you forgot someone." Zoya said firmly. Gone were the tears that threatened to spill out of her eyes, and instead there was a fire that danced in her brown almond orbs.

"Are you listening to me. He won't be invited."

"I know that men don't come to baby showers Asad, but I want everyone there that is important to me. So men will be invited to my baby shower."

"this isn't a joke."

"who is laughing."

"Invite any man you want. But he won't be there."

"Says who?"

"says me. I won't let him near my kids."

"But i will let him near mine."

"they are my kids too."

"the hell they are! I'm the one carrying them."

"he is not coming."

"I'd like to see you stop me, or him for that matter."

"Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan, you let him come and I won't be there." Asad concluded in a fury.

"More wings for me." Zoya fumed. She handed Nikhat the list and turned on her heels and walked straight out the house leaving a shocked Asad and the rest of the family behind. Asad threw his cup of tea at the wall, shattering it into a million pieces. It was the old Asad's anger resurfacing.

"Bhaijan, just. Calm down, think about it. Please. For Mona Darling's sake. It won't be so..." Ayaan started.

"CALM DOWN?! YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN. ALL I HAVE DONE FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS IS MAKE HER HAPPY. EVERY WHIM. EVERY WHIM I HAVE DANCED ON LIKE A MONKEY. NOW SHE WANTS THE MAN WHO DOESN'T DESERVE THE NAME TO COME TO A PARTY FOR MY KIDS? DOES HE EVEN KNOW THE MEANING OF BEING A FATHER?" Asad roared.

"Yes. He does." Nikat answered quietly.

Ayaan's jaw dropped.

"He knows the meaning of being a father. Perhaps that is why he still tried to talk to you, be there for you when you say things like this about you." Nikhat quietly blurted.

"He left us." Najma said silently through her tears.

"And if he hadn't he would have left us." Nikhat said. "I'm not saying what he did was right. He made a mistake. But that mistake took him to a fork in the road, from which there was no right path. Don't forget bhaijan what mamujan and maumi did. They manipulated him into siding with my mother, thinking he had committed a murder. Don't forget that he was forced to leave you to protect you. In the end, he chose you." Nikhat concluded. She walked over to give Najma a hug, which was reciprocated. The two sisters silently knelt on the floor crying. Dilshad walked up behind the two and put each arm around one of her daughter's shoulders. The girls turned to their mother's shoulders and wept freely on her shoulder. Ayaan knelt down and put a hand on his step-mother's shoulder and looked up at his bhaijan with disappointment.

Asad turned around and closed his eyes that threatened him with tears. But when he opened his eyes, he saw reason of Nikhat's words. He turned around to realize, Zoya had left. He looked down at his family and said, "Nikhat, you forgot to put someone on that list." He then turned and left to find his Bunty.

**

Zoya clutched the metal chains of the swings. One of her hands rested on her head as she looked out at the darkness. The sun had set. God knows what direction she had walked in and for how many miles until she had reached this park. She looked out at the last child that left with his father and silently rubbed her belly in reassurance.

Suddenly a pair of hands grabbed either end of the swing and pushed ever so slightly.

So he had found her.

"It's a weird time for you to be at a park."

"Parks are always fun. Never a weird time for a park." Zoya replied. He continued to push her gently on the swing.

"Why did you run?" He asked.

"Because, I don't like it when people shout. And I don't want to be in places where people shout." She said.

"what is this really about."

"I'm scared. I don't know anything that I am doing."

"I know."

"Then how can you say that I will be a good mother?"

"I just know." He said.

"You seem to know everything."

"Not everything, if I had, I wouldn't have done what I did." He said apologetically.

"I know you are sorry."

"That doesn't begin to cover it." He said while gently pushing her.

For a few moments the two stared into the darkness together.

"What if I screw up?"

"Oh you are bound to." He said laughingly.

"Gee, thanks for the vote of encouragement." She said wrly.

"Listen, we all screw up. The kids won't know that. And the truth is, everyone kind of learns on the job. And you are the most qualified for the job. You know why?"

"Why?" She asked.

"Because you are like a kid yourself." He laughed. "what was it...? Oh yeah Shaizadhi Tailpan ki!" He laughed.

She got up out of the swing carefully and faced him laughing.

"that's not very nice dost." Zoya chided her father-in-law.

"It's not nice to run away either dost, especially not in your condition." Rasid replied.

"How did you know about that by the way?"

"Ayaan called. Asad is out looking for you. You shouldn't trouble him you know, he's done a lot for you in these 6 months."

"Maybe I want to hurt him. He hurt me so much before. Now he will see what it felt like." Zoya said angrily and turned around.

Asad's heart ripped. He heard the conversation between Zoya and his father from behind a slide. She wanted him to hurt. For all that he had done to her.

"You don't mean that." Asad heard Rashid say. "His problem is with me beta. Not with you. Liste…...No. Dost, listen to me." He turned her around to face him. "This is between us. Please, let him come to terms with me on his own accord. Don't cox him into anything."

"But he doesn't even know what you have done for me!" Zoya said. "If it weren't for you that day when aami found me on the bathroom, i would have cried my self into oblivion. Just najma came home and thought to call you. It was you who calmed me down. When I went in at the clinic with aami and najma, i told them to stay out at the door but i held onto your hand when the doctor came with the results. You have been there each and every way for me. But, he doesn't know that. I don't want this to be in secret anymore. If it weren't for you, I might not have even gone through with this pregnancy abbu."

He stood shattered. His father had done so much for Asad's life and he didn't even realize it. What a fool he had been. Nikhat was right. "Yah Allah, what have I done?" Asad thought to himself. He looked up at the sky and closed his eyes.

"abbu. That feels nice dost, that's all I want." Rasid said hugging Zoya. She sobbed on his shoulders...suddenly...

"AHHH" ZOYA SCREAMED CLUTCHING HER BELLY.

Asad practically sprinted over to Zoya's side.

"Zoya, what happened. Zoya say something." Asad asked frantically as Zoya leaned on Rashid for support scrunching up her nose in pain.

"Zoya beta. Kya?" Rashid began but stopped when Zoya suddenly stood up. Confused the men were still bent ready to catch her. They looked at each other and back at Zoya.

"OUUUCHHH." Zoya screamed again clutching her belly. But once again when the men leapt into action she stood up seeming quite alright.

"Okay what's going on?" Both men questioned together.

Zoya grabbed both of their arms and but them on her stomach. Asad raised an eyebrow questioningly to Rashid as both their fingertips were brushing against each other on Zoya's large belly. Zoya bit her tongue and squinted her eyes as if concentrating on something.

That's when Asad felt it. A kick.

A kick. Coming from Zoya's belly. His child Kicking. Zoya's belly. Instant tears welled up in his eyes. He looked up at Rashid who mirrored Asad's loss for words.

Kick.

ANOTHER ONE?! Oh yeah. Twins he thought.

"Oh my god. Zoya do you feel this?"

"well of course i feel it akdu, its happening inside me."

The three of them stood there in the park. The two men slightly knelt touching Zoya's belly, feeling the children moving, tears running down their faces, as their fingertips slightly met where the kicks were located. Zoya looked down and smiled. Now her family was complete.

...

December 5, 2014 (week 25)

Zoya turned in her hurband's arms. She slept peacefully as Asad's chin rested on her head. Like usual, it had taken her a long time to fall asleep. But finally, he had managed to make her comfortable. The couple slept in a messy room as the gifts from the previous even lay about.

On top of a pile was an intricate picture frame. In the shape of a family tree, it showed all the family member's baby pictures, except for two blank frames at the bottom.

The sheer curtain blew over the picture frame that Rashid had gifted his son.

The couple slept peacefully.

...

December 12, 2014 (Week 26)

"Hmm. This feels so good aami." Zoya said as Dilshad rubbed oil in her hair. Najma cut fruits on the table as Asad had banned any excessive dessert treats.

"Don't over do it aami, we don't want to support the hair oil company too much. God knows she did enough of that in her childhood." Asad said grabbing a piece of fruit in the Khan's living room as he dodged a flying pillow.

"If i could I would run after you and wring your little neck, jerk." Zoya said.

"Yeah if you could, too bad you can't tubby." Asad laughed.

"AMMMIII!" Zoya screamed.

"Asad, why are you teasing becchari Zoya?" Dilshad chided her son.

"AMMI please, she is not a becchari. 'Chintu I want water. Chintu I can't reach that. Chintu my back hurts. Chintu am i wearing the right shoes? Chintu tie my shoe laces.' If anything I am the becchara. I should just give up my degree in architecture and become a full time maid." Asad said as he took his place on the couch avoiding Zoya's death glare.

"You are an insensitive wart. I wonder which idiot made you a father?" Zoya cried.

"Hahahahahahaha you did!" Asad roared with laugher as Zoya threw another pillow in his direction.

Dilshad laughed at the silliness of her children. But their laughter surely did make her realize that happy days are back again!

…………….
