So, here is what happened when we kidnapped Aakanksha for her Birthday surprise 😛We (Bidzie, Amanat and Kunal) carried sacked Aakanksha in the party hall but realized that she was not moving at all. Worried , we got her out of the sack but she was unconscious. Everyone in the party was panicking but as soon as the clock struck 12 , Aakanksha loudly said,"Surprise, surprise' Happy my B'Day guys ""hah" everyone sighed. KKK managed to ask AKS , still worried, " tum natak kar rahi thi? "Akanksha, "actress hu, itna toh kar hi sakti hu par tum na sachchi ke reporter nahi ban paye der saalo tak reporter ki acting kar ke" she laughed. Everyone is still surprised as to how could she come to know of the surprise. When asked, we were told this , "I was so happy to shoot late tonight because I thought we could celebrate birthday on the set with all my crew members but our director , wo to pehle hi mujhe bole ki tum jao, Kunal se puchha toh use bhi meri birthday ke bare me kuchh yaad nahi tha. Mai bahar ayi set ke toh meri gaadi puncture' itne saare coincidence bas mere show me hi hote hai, real life me nahi'. Aur Bidzie yaar' tune bhi kise zimmedari di mujhe kidnap karne ki ye onscreen Spiderman Chavanni ko 😆 Ashnoor ki pin se meri car puncture kar ki 😆 aur pin toh wahi chhod di 😆 aur mera mu' mera mu, mere hi handkerchief jo maine ise dopahar me haath pochhne ke liye diya tha, usi se baandha isne 😆 toh maine socha ki tum log ko hi surprise kar du"Amanat and Bidz were looking furiously at KKK for spoiling the plan but Ashnoor intervened and saved her bhaiya from all his fans. KKK said , "yaar kaise fans ho tum log' aise gussa hote hai kya' chalo na cake kat lete hai"Amanat said , "ise gusse wali drooling kehte hai' ye bhi jhelni padti hai kabhi kabhi' chalo ab shanty se.. "KKK religiously followed them knowing how hard they had worked for the birthday and that he messed it. Akanksha was still laughing and laughed harder at KKK's apologetic face 🤣 .Before cutting the cake, Akanksha said , " but seriously guys, this was the most fun filled birthday I have had. What can be better than having such nice fans and friends who plan , spoil the plan and still make it a memorable one. Group hug ? " All of them hugged 😳

While Akanksha blowed the candles, all of us shouted right in her ears

She came as a fresh breath of air in monotony of telly world. Seemingly a young looking girl, playing mother to two adorable kids with utmost confidence which is so rare to find in actresses today. When overt expressions and shrill conversation became the norm, she brought in subtlety and talent back to small screen. Her very beautiful eyes could express range of emotions with so much of ease that it was hard to believe that she was just twenty two years of age. She was master of her craft and it was her character of Mrs. Vyas that got us glued to the show which now is so dear to us. Aakanksha Singh played her character of unconventional widow and mother of two in the most realistic manner. She was new to the medium but not to her job. Her plethora of experience in theater made her stand infront of veterans of the field and deliver equally well if not better than them. With gruesome schedules and bad conditions of work that the television medium offers, she strengthened her performance with each passing day. She made her characters' pain and pathos so relatable to the viewer that every time she cried on screen, we cried with her and every time she laughed, she brought smile to our faces.

In her short span of one and a half year she donned many roles in her character that of Mrs Megha Vyas, mother to Nanhi and Addu, dutiful daughter in law to Vyas family, a working woman in Prabhat Leher, friend and then a lover to Mohan and finally Mrs. Megha Bhatnagar. She justified all her roles but her character of Megha, a righteous woman remained intact in all these roles. Later on she also showed growth of her character with being a mother to her student Rimjhim and selflessly loving her without even knowing her relation with Mohan and after that inspite of her relation with Mohan. Aakanksha's journey as Megha has been quite eventful and she has been able to justify all her roles in this character. To look at few of her roles:

As Mrs. Vyas: we were introduced to her as this character and it was through this role that she made her first impression. As a widow of Amar she brought out the pain of Megha so effortlessly when in one of her dialogues she tells Nanhi that it is impossible for her to even breathe without her father let alone live life and be happy. She played a widow to a tainted man but displayed utmost faith and trust in him and fought for her innocence. Perhaps this strength of hers made Mohan fall for her.As Nanhi Addu's Mother: After Amar, Nanhi and Addu became the focal point of Megha's life. They were her world and all her actions were directed towards their welfare. She could go to any length for their better future and that is what she did when she took up the job for the first time with Prabhat Leher and continued with it even after encountering innumerable hardships there. Though she loved her children immensely but her love for them was never blind. She tried to inculcate all the right values in them too, like when Addu tried to harm Mohan in his own little way she did not approve of it and tried to correct him. To take a very recent example she did not accept Addu when she came to know that he is a criminal even though she pinned for him and suffered for him after him being lost for a very long time.

As daughter/ daughter in law to Vyas Family: She acted as the most dutiful daughter in law to Vyas family though not many members approved of her. She tried to act in manner that would be best for the family. She even tried to go and apologise to Rastogi though it was quite humiliating for her'all for her family and their future.

As friend and then Lover to Mohan: This was one role which was the highlight of the show and Aakanksha did full justice with it. The transition from adversaries to collogue to friends and then finally lover to Mohan was a very gradual one but each transition had its own flavor and brought out the best in Aakansha as an actress. She outshined herself with every successive role. Though it was absolutely impossible for Megha to trust a man who had proved her husband guilty but once Mohan was able to build that trust she had complete faith in him and did everything to support Mohan in times of his need like the way we saw her during Rashmi track when she went against her family's wishes to stand beside Mohan. Megha denied her feeling for Mohan for long but she could never hide her concern for him, like the way she went out to save him when she knew that her own life could be in danger

As Megha Vyas Bhatnagar: Megha gave her all when it came being committed to someone and so was the case when she married Mohan. She supported him in all his highs and lows even if it ment at the loss of her own children. With loss of Addu and Mohan walking out of their lives the relationship suffered a heavy blow but it all came back as soon as she was able to confront her own feelings. She felt pangs of loss when Mohan was not there and it all became so much more when she thought that she had lost him forever to someone else which only confirms her immense love for him that she could not bear his loss or the loss of her hope to find him again. During Mohan's jail track she stood like a rock behind him without once questioning her faith in him.These were only few points of the journey of Megha and Aakansha and words could do no justice to her work. We all wish Aakanksha on her special day all the success in life with all her new roles in professional as well as personal life though we would like to see her as Megha with all her mirchiness for a very long time.

Aakanksha, you are the prettiest and cutest actress I have ever seen. Saw you first in NBT promos in December 2011, and you are the reason why I started watching NBT :) The first episode that I saw was 7th may and that was when I ran to google to find out who is this wonder-girl 👏.

The amount of intensity and crisp dialogue delivery you have, it is totally impossible to believe that you started all this at 21 !!! A first look at your face makes us feel what Mrs. Vyas is all about. The way you have portrayed her values, beliefs, strength and falling in love - nobody else could have matched your levels.
