Maa Durga is warrior form of the creator MATA PARASHAKTI.
Maa Ganga is water form of the creator MATA PARASHAKTI.
These two devis are mahashakti, they possess all the three gunas of devi thats why they are replica of mata paramshakti who indeed is energy of PITA PARABRAHMA. When pita and mata collide, BIG BANG HAPPENS.
