The Plot Of Qubool Hai !
Qubool Hain is a Muslim Social Drama in the "Rom Com" zone.
It is the story of two families related by blood and yet distanced by circumstances. It is the story of two brothers Ayaan and Asad who are separated by their families but are united in their hearts.
It is also the story of Zoya, a girl who starts by hating the culture of hypocrisy in joint families and eventually ends up bringing together the two warring families.
The journey of the Khan family is seen through the eyes of our three protagonists'Zoya the young, spunky and progressive NRI, Ayaan the charming boy who falls for every beautiful face and Asad the man with the angst who eventually learns to love.
Zoya was supposed to see the hypocrisy in joint families...I think right from here, Gul has deviated from the synopsis. Zoya was supposed to be a part of a joint family, and that did not happen. Instead she landed up in a nuclear family and ended up loving the man who was modern, yet downright orthodox in his expectations of women. (The kind of man who Gul described in her latest interview..)
The show begins at the point where Zoya runs away from a marriage that was being forced on her and a twist of fate makes her get married to Ayaan instead.
Zoya enters the traditional, orthodox home of Ayaan'just the kind of family she distrusts and questions.
This has not happened...and cannot happen the way the synopsis describes it. She ran away, and entered the family of a man who was willing to settle for a girl he could respect for her 'devout and traditional ways'- so long as that was there, love didn't matter to him. Of course, that did not happen- he fell head over heels for a girl whose beliefs clashed with his, was not traditional, and the man who did not believe in love, fell in love.
She is a total misfit in the conservative home that is run by the super orthodox doyen of the family. And as is to be expected it leads to immediate disaster.
This could be a future track...when Zoya enters Siddiqui Mansion, it will be with te blessings of Rashid and siddiqui...I guess Shireen will welcome her too, being a very sweet mother. Raziya is the one who is going to create trouble- probably some kind of Guerilla warfare. Zoya will be a misfit, but the youngsters of the house will offer relief...I guess, like most of us think, Zoya could try to change herself, in order to be the daughter her Abbu would be proud of.
A lot of squabbles ensue, especially between Ayaan and Zoya' and neither realize when they end up falling in love.
Considering, the story does not start here, fortunately, this cannot happen since already the brothers have BOTH found their life partners- already.Squabbles did ensue...between Asad and Zoya and neither realised when they ended up falling in love..
In the meanwhile, Asad is engaged to a very traditional conservative girl. Asad though not quite in love with her, respects her immensely for her devout ways and is beginning to see a life with her.
However, like fate usually does, things take a turn. Ayaan's temporary marriage to Zoya gets dissolved and Zoya finds out that Ayaan was responsible for it.
And here, Asad finds out that his pious to be bride is a complete liar and was taking him for a ride all along.
Now this is the bit that freaks most people out, I guess. The engagement happened, so the rest of the synopsis will play out too...the point is, the ENGAGEMENT NEVER TOOK PLACE. Asad was trapped, and he did not end up getting engaged to the girl he respected and HE NEVER SAW A LIFE WITH HER. Instead he started seeing a LIFE WITH ZOYA.
Needless to say, the rest of the statement will not come true...since the engagement never took place, the marriage (ZOYAN) WILL NEVER TAKE PLACE TOO! But a part of Ayan's story has already taken place- he almost got married- we know to whom. And it broke, because of Ayan himself...since Humeira found out he was not interested, the nikah would have taken place, IF NOT FOR AYAN!
And now begins the next chapter of the story'. with Ayaan wanting to win back Zoya with whom he has totally fallen in love with and Asad vowing to never ever love again.
Ayaan realizes that the only way he can win back Zoya is with the help of Asad.

All I can see is, may be a slight misunderstanding between AsYa once Gaffur is revealed (can happen even without that, since it does not take much to get Z to squabble🤪😆, and it takes a lot for the Lion to make up😳...)...Zoya overenthusiastic to help AyRa...may be tries a jealousy track of Zoyaan to make Humeira come out wither feelings, Asad ends up having a jealousy track... (Please please please...😳.)
The Good News is that, the old synopsis has become so obsolete,🥱 that Zee has even removed it!👏

Based on Friday's epi...if there is a fear of Zoyaan resurfacing😕...some answers...😳
1. Why did Zoya stop short of hugging Asad?😭
Because she had wanted to feel the safety of his arms, but saw the guilt and sorrow in his eyes when she came near. So she stopped herself, and ADDRESSED his issues first...she had to reassure him...that was IMPORTANT so that Asad did not lose his sense of SELF WORTH. Also, if U notice, when Tanveer's truth came out, Zoya was looking at Asad closely- she wanted to make sure the truth of this friendship did not blow him off..I was reminded of the first time she asked Mr. Khan to sit down when she revealed her suspicions abouyt Tanveer. She had sensed back then, that the betrayal of trust will come as a hard blow to him. And by now, compounded with that grief at betrayal was the guilt of not being able to prevent harm coming to Zoya..So it was important for Zoya that she reassured Mr. Khan.
2. Why did Zoya say that she will marry only once😲...the dialogue looked misplaced.😆 When Asad was asking her to never leave him, all she had to say was, 'Mr. Khan, How can I ever leave you? I love you more than I love myse;lf...aur main apni mohabbat ke liye kuchh bhi kar sakti hoon...".
Instead, she chose to REASSURE him with her sense of DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY- because that is the LANGUAGE THAT ASAD SPEAKS...he is a man of word and honour...NOT SO MUCH ABOUT LOVE- AS ZOYA UNDERSTANDS HIM...😉to tell him about love and matters of heart would be a total waste, (acc to her)- so she tells it the way HE UNDERSTANDS...IT IS MY WORD TO MYSELF...AND I AM A WOMAN OF MY WORDS! An excellent loop which can be used to tighten the love story, to milk it to its worth. Zoya thinks Asad is talking about his esponsibilityto her, since he said, 'it is my duty to protect you'...and she repliesin the same vein...'it is my duty to myself...'
The important word to her is DUTY😲...whereas, what Asad wanted to emphasise was 'YOU'👏. He has declared his love to her at Ajmer, but ABOVE love, isn't there a guilt and a SENSE OF RIGHT that drives Mr. Khan?😳😉
3. Why did HUmeira look back at Ayan when she was about to hug Vikram...?
Since I was asked this Q again, and specifically about spirits getting transferred...
HUmeira is running away from the reality of her life, as the doctor explained it. She is the girl who tried to commit suicide once..it is all the more easy for her to want to run away into another psychiatric realm, where her reality will not bother her. It is not about the spirit getting transferred...in fact, many psychiatric disorders have been misdiagnosed as the 'work of the spirit' in the past...beautifully explained in the movie, Bhool bhulaiya...It is unbelievably supernatural..yet it is THE POWER OF THE HUMAN MIND. But somewhere in the corner, Rajani knows she has a connection with Ayan...something Rajani cannot explore, because she is a married Huindu lady, and something Humeira refuses to acknowledge, since it is the very thing she is running away from...but the khichaav is there..therefore, Rajani will believe Vikram is her husband, because she has been told so, yet she will be shy about physical proximity with him, because she has experienced that with Ayan...and she knows there is something there... something about the way he follows her around, protects her, begs her...something in his eyes...that HUMEIRA refuses to allow her to look at.
