First of all, I'm very sorry to leave you guys hanging. My life has been a roller coaster from last couple of days. Anyways, I finally got to write this chapter and I also have next one halfway done. So here it goes'..
Chapter 2
Bhopal, India.Everybody in the Khan mansion looked at the front door as the bell rang. Guffar and his family were supposed to arrive in the afternoon and everybody was super excited to meet them. Najma walked towards the door but stopped halfway when Rashid said, "let me see." His excitement was on total different level compare to everybody else.
At the door waited his best friend to finally meet him after 10 years. It's been really long time apart but now they can catch up on all they have missed. It would be an understatement to say Rashid's excitement tripped when he saw Guffar. Both the friends exchanged a hug following salaams. Everybody said their salaam and how are yous? Just then Dilshaad questioned, "Eram, where is Zoya? Didn't she come with you guys too?"
Eram's expression changed from festive to worry. Zoya was not able to board the flight along with them because of her non-confirmed tickets. Anwar forgot to confirm her tickets, so she had to take the next flight all by herself. They didn't want to leave Zoya by herself and it took Zoya lots of convincing to make them believe that she will be fine.
Guffar requested Rashid to send somebody to pick her up at the airport as she hasn't been to India in years and might get lost. It is very much possible because trouble seems to find her anywhere and everywhere. Ayaan jumped at this opportunity saying, "I will go pick her up. Not to worry at all." This way she can refresh their Mona-Rabaart bonding.
"Ayaan you don't worry about that. It is much better if Asad goes. I don't want Zoya to pick up a return flight after meeting you," Rashid suggested before breaking into laughter. All this time Asad was busy reading a file but his concentration finally broke after hearing his name.
"Asad, why don't you pick up Zoya tonight? Her flight is supposed to land around 8, so she should be out by 9 after going through customs and immigrations."
"But Abbu I have an important meeting this evening." Asad reasoned. He did not wanted to say no to his Abbu but being the workaholic he is, it is hard to separate his work from him.
"I'm sure all other associates can manage one meeting without you there. Don't worry about it. If it is that important then I will go to the meeting but you have to pick up Zoya from airport tonight. We can't leave that bechari hanging at the airport."
Asad knew there is going to be no way out of this now. Great, so now he has to miss his meeting for some New York return, Asad thought. He was upset about changing his schedule but he also could never say no to his Abbu.

Ya Allah, How long is this Miss Zoya Farooqui going to take, Asad complained looking at his wrist watch. This was a complete waste of his time. He valued time a lot and here he was waiting for this Ms. Farooqui who is no were to be seen. It had been an hour since Asad has been waiting at the airport for Zoya to come out. Her flight had already landed but she is still nowhere to be seen. Asad was getting more restless every time he looked at his watch. Just because of his Abbu he is here waiting for her otherwise he had no time for people who didn't value time. Asad's restlessness was turning into anger. How can somebody be so irresponsible and unpunctual? Mostly everybody from that flight has been out but there is no glimpse of Ms. Zoya Farooqui.
On the other hand, Zoya knew that Asad will be the one picking her up and all of a sudden this made her head feel light. What am I going to do? How am I supposed to act? she thought cursing herself for calling her Abbu to find out who was coming to pick her up. If she might have not known then there wouldn't be this much anticipation and nervousness. Wait. But why was she nervous? There is nothing to be nervous about. She knows that her Ammi is trying to get her married to Asad but Asad doesn't know anything of that sort. There is nothing to freak out about. Zoya tried to calm herself down and made up her mind to act normal as she grabbed her luggage.
Zoya scanned the crowd of people standing in front of her as she walked out of the terminal. Thank God she knew how he looked. It made it easier to spot him. Even if she didn't know, she would have been able to find him. Asad Ahmed Khan has a very different aura that separated him from the crowd. There he was, a ruggedly handsome man standing in a black and blue 3-piece suit looking extremely sexy. God, he was very VERY sexy. All of a sudden, Zoya felt short of breath and a chill ran down her spine. If this is how she feels just after looking at him from far, what is going to happen when she is actually with him? She took a deep breath and started walking towards him.
Asad restless looked at his watch again hoping that the time would go faster. Before he could grind his teeth again to let out his anger, his phone rang. "No. Not yet Abbu," Asad said answering to the person on the other side. "Don't worry Abbu. I'm sure she will be out soon," Asad said trying to keep it cool. He was angry inside but that doesn't mean he can take it out on his Abbu.
Zoya walked clinging tightly to her luggage, trying to not look nervous. She could see him talking on the phone even though his back faced her. "Hello, I'm...," Zoya started with forwarding her hand but before she could finish a very forceful push from behind made her lose her balance. Ohh no. This is not going to be good. She was shut her eyes, expecting her face on the floor but instead it was on a very much comfortable muscular chest. She tilted her head up trying to understand what just happened and there he was. She was lying on top of him. Zoya knew she should try to get up but it felt so good just lying there on his chest. It felt perfect. Zoya didn't know why she felt this way. She doesn't even know him. But it still feels so good.
Asad, on the other hand, was completely blank of what just happened. He could feel something on top of him but was it. Looking down, he just somebody with very smooth silky hair rested on his chest. He smelled the strawberry shampoo from her hair as he took a deep breath. Don't know what was happening but he felt some kind of intoxication. Before he got anymore lost, he gathered all his senses and looked down at her.
"Excuse me. Do you mind?" Asad said dragging Zoya out of her dreamland.
As soon as she was up, she realized how awkward the situation is going to be now. How is she going the break the ice now. This is getting harder by every minute. Zoya, don't worry. Just be yourself, said her inner voice.
"Do you have any manners or not?" Asad roared because Zoya could even say anything.
How can he talk like that? All the good feels she had seconds ago were out of the window after this. Just because he is breathtaking and astonishingly sexy doesn't give him a right to talk to anybody with such egotism.
"Hey!!! It's not my fault that somebody pushed me," Zoya screamed in his face following "So this is how you treat your guest?" before Asad could start a blame game of whose fault it was.
"Guest?" Asad said giving a puzzled look.
"Yes. I'm Zoya Farooqui. You must be Mr. Asad Ahmed Khan." introduced Zoya.
So this is the Ms. New York return that is wasting my time. God she is so uuugghhh, Asad thought trying to find a word to describe her. She does not have any conservative traditional values just based on the way she talks and looks.
"Yes. I'm Asad Ahmed Khan. Do you have any idea how long I have been waiting here? My time is very important and I don't like to wait," said Asad finally letting out his angry. Somebody has to face it.
"Oh. I'm wasting YOUR time. If YOUR time is that important then stop arguing with me and lets proceed towards home? said Zoya giving him a glare. How can he be so arrogant? Couple of minutes ago, she was getting nervous about how she was supposed to act in front him but after this introduction she has given up on the idea of even thinking about him as her life partner. How can Ammi think that I will get married this Akdu Ahmed Khan, Zoya said under her breath.

"How long is the ride back home, Mr. Khan?" Zoya asked getting back to her normal as their ride back home began.
"Unfortunately very long," Asad whispered under his breath rolling his eyes.
"I'm sorry. What was that? I didn't hear you," Zoya asked again facing him to understand his expressions.
"About an hour" Asad answered.
It has been only 10 minutes and Zoya is already bored out of her mind. How is she going to go through this long ride with silent Ahmed Khan. Well it's good that he is not talking because whenever he opens his mouth, only arrogance speaks, Zoya thought facing the window trying to look outside but it is hard to see anything in middle of night except headlight of other cars passing by.
Just when Zoya was about to start a conversation to break the silence, Asad's phone rang. His eyebrows frowned looking at the screen as he picked up the phone from the dashboard.
"Why are you calling at this hour, Prasad?" questioned Asad without even a courtesy hello. Zoya rolled her eyes recalling how he was the one that was ready give a long lecture about manners couple of minutes ago and now here he is showing no manners.
"You want me to come sign papers right now. Couldn't you have gotten them signed this morning when I was there?" Asad roared in the phone.
Somebody is in trouble. "Why do I hire you people? To take care of the situation, not to create problems" said Asad rubbing his temple. He finally answered "Fine I will be there in 20 minutes" ending the conversation.
"Mr. Khan, are we going somewhere else before going home?" Zoya questioned with somewhat excitement. She was in no mood of sleeping, like normal people, because of the time change. Plus adventures are parts of Zoya Farooqui's everyday life.
"I have to stop by at office to sign some important papers. I hope you don't..." saying Asad faced Zoya but stopped looking at her expression and finished with "It looks like you don't mind it at all."
"Oh don't worry Mr. Khan. I don't mind. Plus I can get a tour of your office too" Zoya said raising her eyebrows and a big smile.
What is wrong with this girl? She wants a tour of my office in middle of night. Weird Girl thought Asad.
"Ms. Farooqui, nobody is giving you a tour. I just need to sign papers then we can head home" said Asad and saw Zoya's smile disappear.
Asad shifted his focus back on the road and Zoya out the window as their journey to office started'.

Just in bit of time, they pulled in front of Dilshaad constructions office building. As the car stopped, Zoya looked out at the building and tilted her head up as much as she could to see how tall the building was. Looking at the height of the building, her mouth automatically formed an O. So this is where Mr. Khan works. She had heard from Abbu that Khans have a huge business empire but she didn't know that they were loaded. "Mr. Khan, is this your office?" Zoya questioned still staring at the building. No wonder why it was easier to find him online. Anybody with such huge business would be known by everybody.
"Yes. Ms. Farooqui. How about you wait in the car and I will be back in couple of minutes," Asad said putting the car in parking and opening driver side of the door. "I want to come too!!" Zoya said immense excitement. But Asad stepped out of the car saying, "No. Wait here." However he had no idea that saying no to Ms. Farooqui meant encouraging her. She was so amazed by the building from outside that there was no way of stopping here from going inside. How can he say no to her?
"Okay Mr. Khan I am going to go to the dhabba across the street instead to get something to eat," screamed Zoya lowering the passenger window. It didn't click at first, but after couple of seconds it finally hit Asad. It will be insane to leave her on the streets of Bhopal at this hour as she will probably attract trouble. He turned around to find her already out of the car and walking towards the dhabba. "Wait." Asad screamed running back to her. "Fine. You can come but nobody is giving you a tour." Asad said giving up. Hearing this, Zoya gave herself a tap on back as she succeeded in getting what she wanted. "Okay." said Zoya with an I-knew-this-would-happen look. Both proceeded towards the building, unaware of what trouble waited for them'
