'Arnav!?' She cupped his face and made him look towards her. Her own eyes welling up seeing so much pain in them. 'Arnav what happened, Arnav let me what happened dammit' her voice grew by the minute as he wasn't answering. She was about to get up when she heard 'I am a really bad person, i messed up Khushi i really messed up, because of me everyone is hurt. I couldn't help Maa and dad when they needed me, then i chose the wrong husband for Anjali who is making everyone's life hell and i can't do anything about it, and worst of all i brought you into my mess,first i brought you home and the b*****d started lusting over you and decided to betray everyone, then dadi taunted you and insulted you and you didn't let me say anything then i got us kidnapped and you were shot for god sake and still i couldn't protect you. Now even Anjali thinks that your at fault and its your fault and still I'm helpless. I messed up, i hurt the ones i loved the most, maybe i should just leave and let you be.'

Arnav by this point had walked over to the big window and was watching the planes take off and land. Khushi followed behind and turned him around. A rare emotion of fury was clearly evident in Khushi's eyes as she looked at Arnav. His teary eyes had no effect on her because she was about to burst.'What, come again, HAVE YOU...All passengers boarding the flight to London Heathrow, please make your way to terminal 2, thank you' Had it not been for the announcement Khushi would have flipped.

Shashi and Garima were surprised to see a visible angry Khushi storming towards the terminal and a lost and distraught Arnav following behind. Both thought best to let them sort out the problem amongst themselves. So when the got onto the plane they immediately put in some headphones and sat in there seats.

Once they had settled in the first class section of the aircraft behind there parents Khushi, who was sitting next the window, turn to face Arnav. Since they had got onto the plane 1 hour prior to flying the other 8 seats were empty so no one heard Khushi yelling, luckily.

'so tell me Arnav what was you saying outside huh, HAVE YOU COMPLETELY LOST IT, you were saying that its your fault na, you think you could help Ma and Dad na, Arnav Jisne help karna se voh toh te hi nahi, tum kya kar pate haan (the one you should have helped wasn't there, so what could you have done), Dadi should have been there to stop him but she didn't come okay, that wasn't your fault. As for Shyam, toh Anjali personally insisted on the alliance am i right, she brought him to you and said that they wanted to get married right, so how are you at fault, by letting them get married? And lastly you think that marrying me was a mistake, bringing me home was a mistake. Arnav, Shyam would have lusted on any woman you had brought home. He just happened to have known papa before, which is why he recognised me. Yes dadi always insulted me and taunted me she did it to Payal too, but slowly she stopped because Payal proved herself, but do you know why i told you not to say anything to dadi about it because she wouldn't have stop Arnav, behind your back she would have continued taunting me saying that i have trapped you.' She looked over to Arnav who still looked unaffected by her speech so she thought of a different way to make him understand.

'Okay forget that answer me, did you know that we weren't going to be boarding the plane?' Arnav shook his head and was about to speak but was interrupted 'no just answer me yes or no' she said in a no non-sense tone.

'No then you did a damn well job of protecting me, i may have been shot Arnav but if you weren't there something worse could have happened, you could have just given me up when they came to the airport like the said they only wanted me, but no you insisted on coming with me. you could have left me and ran whilst i was sleeping but know you woke me up, hell you could have left me here with him but instead you took me with you so i wouldn't have to face him alone ' Khushi let out a sigh, she now understood that he was paranoid about. He was scared that one day she would leave him like his Maa, dad and then Anjali.

'But it wouldn't have happened at all if i could have prevented it' 'oh really' she crossed her arms under her chest. Arnav would have laughed at her posture which resembled him at this very moment had it not been the seriousness of the conversation they were having. 'Yes really if i hadn't brought you home then i could have prevented this. I hate myself for doing this to you and mumma and papa and even NK unknowingly, you are all tense and worried for me because of me, i cant do this anymore Khushi you are the only family i have left and i don't want to hurt my family again and have to start my life over again without you, i wont be able to bare it khushi. i would rather leave now knowing you guys are safe than...khushi i will die if something happens to...' Khushi put her hand over his mouth and yelled so loud that the attendant by the door jumped.

'ARNAV SINGH RIAZADA DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT EVER AGAIN UNDERSTAND' she calm down realising her voice came out louder than she had anticipated. 'Arnav (she sighed) you are not going anywhere okay. Mumma and papa love you to much to let you leave them and NK couldn't be more happier that he got a jiju who he can gang up with and pull pranks on me with (she chuckled) and me, i would follow you no matter how many times you try to leave me because this heart of mine here (she picked up his hand and placed it on her chest above her heartbeats) right here stops when you go away from it for a while' Arnav just pulled her into a hug and both let there tears follow.

In the seat in front of the couple sat two people with tears following down there face too. Garima and shashi had heard the whole conversation and couldn't feel more proud of there daughter. She had managed to console him and decrease his fear with in a matter of minutes, whereas they had tried for the past month without success.

By now the flight was ready for take off, Arnav was exhausted mentally, emotionally and physically. So as soon as the flight took of he fell into a much need sleep with his head resting in Khushi's lap and his knees bent, feet resting on the end of his seat. Khushi on the other hand was running her fingers through his hair deep in thought. She could help but think back to what had happened when they had reached Shantivan the day after escaping from the goons.

Flashback

The sun was shining extra bright today, or that's what it looked like to Khushi, the sky was almost clear except for the one grey cloud that was hovering around. The calm before the storm. This is what Khushi gathered the weather was displaying.

It was 10 in the morning and she and Arnav were on there way back to Shanitvan. The drive was extremely quiet. If Arnav hadn't known what was going on he would have guessed that something was wrong because of her silence. She watched Arnav driving although he looked calm and look as if he knew what he was doing, deep down he was that same vulnerable and scared Arnav she had saw when he first came to Delhi. Khushi put her hand on this thigh as an act of strength and it worked Arnav placed his hand atop hers and looked at her with a smile which this time reach his eyes.

Once they arrive both made no effort of moving. Neither had the heart to go inside and break everyone's heart by telling them that the Damad of the house was a cheat a fraud and worst of all a criminal. Arnav made the first move out of the SUV. Since the doctor had said that Khushi shouldn't be on her feet to much Arnav had asked the doctor for a pair of crutches for her to help her walk without much pain. He walked over to the other side and opened the back door to get out the crutches. By this time Khushi had brought her legs around her seat ready for Arnav to help her walk in. Once Arnav was sure that she was fine he walked beside her to the stairs of the house. Once they were up Arnav rang the doorbell and waited.
