Extract from Gul's infamous interview over the weekend

Why Asad, an astute businessman, remains naive towards his deceitful childhood friend Tanveer's tricks?

Pat came reply from Khan: "Because I want him to be like this."

Initially when I read that flippant comment I was so upset ' Heellooo was my time since end April worth nothing? I could have done Tannu pardafash in a millisecond right after the airport engagement!! Albeit a bit of an exaggerated but it certainly would not have taken 9 attempts on Zoya's life over the past super long 3 months!!!

Thanks to the spoilers of all the light heart scenes we are about to see I managed to calm down and think of how ASYA are moving on to the next stage of their lives where they are stronger than ever before. Therefore they are ready to face the next "father / Ghaffur" track and then i had my tube light moment and it occurred to me why Gul made that comment.

IMO when Ghaffur enters ASYA 's lives it will be the same case for Zoya and the roles will be reversed! Thankfully just like Zoya stuck by Asad (no matter how much we wanted her to leave) the same way Asad will stick by Zoya when she has blinders on!!!

So why do I think that Ghaffur will be the male version of Tannu ?
(other than the fact their initials make up GT = Gin & Toxic oops... meant tonic)?

Tannu had a link to Asads childhood
Ghaffur has a link to Zoya's childhood

Asad reconnect with Tannu after a long time
Zoya will reconnect with her father after a long time

Asad had initially been very excited to see Tannu and ignored Zoya
Zoya will also be very excited to see her dad and ignore Asad

Asad had preconceived ideas Tannu
Zoya also has pre conceived notions about her father

Tannu came into Asads life because of Razia
Ghaffur will come into Zoya's life because of Razia (she will have a trick up her sleeve)

Tannu came into Asads life herself - Asad did not look for her
Ghaffur will come into Zoya's life himself - rather than Zoya finding him

(i think bari bi will be found by zingo hotties / RAJNI - Ghaffur will be mad at Razia and in order to get into his good books again Razia will tell him about his daughter looking for him (as Razia knows Zoya will reach him very soon as she has a lot of clues) In the process Razia will make bari bi who cannot talk look bad - Razia will do her I did everything for the family ki Izzat jee -crap)

Asad only choose to look at the good side of Tannu - despite what was right under his nose
Zoya will also choose to look at only the good side of Ghaffur - despite what will be right under her nose

Tannu seems all polite and soft spoken at first sight but inside was a truly evil person
Ghaffur also seems to be polite and soft spoken at first sight but is he evil inside?

Tannu seemed religious and a girl with tehzeeb and tameez
Ghaffur seems to be very religious too and concerned with tehzeb and tameez

Tannu also cared about what other people thought
Ghauffer also cares a lot about what other people think and his - Izzat!!

Tannu seemed to do fake charity - she lied about compensating the workers of "burnt factory"
Ghaffur seems to do a lot of charity - giving money at orphanage and schools

Zoya did not like Tannu but Asad never stopped caring and taking care of Tannu
Asad has never liked Ghaffur but Zoya will not stop herself from getting to close to Ghaffur

Asad always sided with Tannu over Zoya & hurt Zoya in the process but ASYA got closer that way
Zoya will always side with dad over Asad & hurt him in the process but they will get closer?

Tannu tricks changed Asad to be a better person and husband
Ghaffur tricks will change Zoya to be a better person and wife

At KV Dilshad and sibling (Najma) was hooting / supporting ASYA
At SM Rashid & siblings (Zingo hottie) will be hooting / supporting ASYA

The biggest similarity is the way they dress and present themselves in the public eye so does that mean since Tannu is in actual fact totally opposite on the inside the same applies to Ghaffur?

IMO whatever Tannu did - it was to give her child a better future and life so that Razia could never insult its mother (i.e Tannu). Does this mean that whatever happened 17 yrs ago was done by Ghaffur in order to ensure that his child survives the fire? (Note we have always seen him & Rashid in long sleeves till now)

This week Sangeeta Di had made a post with the title being Poison The Only Way To Kill Poison - and my question had been so who will kill Razia? Will she be betrayed by her own partner in life n crime for whom is committed the murder as the love of his child will take proceeding over loyalty to his wife?

Would love to hear your thoughts -

Wow! Great post CC 👏 You made some very good points. I agree with most of your points except this one

I am not sure if Razia would tell him about Zoya. Knowing the kind of woman she is, I doubt she'll ever do this but i'll be interesting to see if it happens. Though I agree that now the roles will be reversed, instead of Zoya looking for him and finding him, Gaffur will be the one who'll come and claim her as his daughter.

Your post makes so much sense ... which is fine (I guess). It's just that I want just a little time to pass before the next big "twist" or "drama" starts to unfold. That's not asking too much, is it? It's actually one of the things that annoyed me about Gul's previous shows ... no sooner does one plot finish before she's on to the next one at full speed with no time to reflect and decompress in between. I love the story but just wish she'd take her time with some stuff that she races through and with other stuff she just drags to the point where the audience is fed up and it's like "enough already!" The recent spoilers and behind the scenes stuff does give me some hope though!

Yes - i agree we all need a breather - we the actors are saying so in the interviews. I think after Eid the whole saga will start so we have 2 weeks of light heart stuff😃

I kind of agree too - and could not think of another reason that will make Ghaffur look his daughter up!!

It seems poetic justice Tannu came and left ASYA's life coz of Razia the same way coz Zoya's father was seperated by Razia she brings them together😕

Ah yes! Absolutely. That way it makes sense but still there has to be a good enough reason for Razia to take such a big step if she does. I think that music box may play a role. How about Ayaan finding that music box with Rajni/Humeira and then he feels he did hear this music somewhere. He recollects and calls up Zoya to ask. Maybe Gaffur at that time listens to this conversation and that leads to him finding Zoya or perhaps he goes back to that masjid where Zoya was distributing his pic and comes across it. He asks someone there and they tell him that a girl was asking about him in the picture.

I feel that the music box and the picture would be the clues that will help the father-daughter reconnect. But how and when, that remains to be seen.

Cara... Didn't I mention in our earlier thread about zoya having blind trust on gaffur like Asad had for tanveer...I think u missed it... But thanks u have made a post for it...
Didn't zoya always had problem towards Asad's blind trust for tanveer but u r right and we 'll see zoya copy' Asad . And later like Asad realised his mistake , zoya too will realise her mistake...

Amazing post CC! Makes a lot of sense. I agree Gaffur will be the next test for AsYa but I am glad it is not something like Billi wanting to take Zoya's place. Gaffur cannot really take Asad's place because Gaffur is her father and Asad is her husband/love. So that gives me satisfaction.

I also feel Asad will be Zoya's rock since a very difficult time is coming her way.

But I do feel Zoya will want to know her father but her promise to be on Asad's side will hold her back. I can almost envision a big big clash between Asad and Gaffur right before Zoya finds out about Gaffur. However, Asad will encourage Zoya to know about her father and not blame herself.

However, another thing is Billi acted nice in front of Asad and Asad reciprocated. But in Gaffur's angle i feel he will initially reject Zoya. He has a lot of pride. And if we go by the AyRa engagement day symbolism then Gaffur would always take Humera's side and never support Zoya. So while Zoya will want to fight for her rights, Gaffur will want to stay away from her and even insult her and her mother. Zoya knows her father left her and her mother yet she has respect for him the irony will be that Gaffur does not deserve the respect at all. He will not acknowledge Zoya as his daughter because that means his izzat in society will be diminished and according to whatever I have seen of him his izzat is his biggest thing for him. Here Asad will stand by Zoya and help her fight for her rights which will in turn hurt Humera because Asad can very well say Zoya was born first and Humera later. Hence a clash between the bro's as well.

I don't think Raziya will ever tell Gaffur about Zoya. She can care less about being in his good books IMO. She can easily manipulate him as she has been doing. Remember during Dilshad shooting she manipulated him. She will never reveal to Gaffur about Zoya. Zoya will find Gaffur IMO and Gaffur will refuse to accept her as her daughter.
