The actor speaks on how difficult it is to play the plotting Pia in 'Kasamh Se' and life after marriage

Professionally she is on a high having experimented with hosting and acting. Roshni Chopra who plays the middle sister Pia in 'Kasamh Se' (Zee) has been noticed for her performance as a money-minded and a self-centered girl. The latest twist in the story is about Pia bearing the child of her sister Bani's (Prachi Desai) husband Jai Walia (Ram Kapoor).

Roshni hai!
"It's been an excellent experience playing Pia, which involves a lot of hard work. We shoot almost everyday and the script is readied just a day before. But overall it's been a gratifying experience," she says. She adds, "On the sets I am very close to Ram and Arunima (Rano). We have lots of masti bullying each other."

Selfish-me-not
Ask Roshni if she is as arrogant and indifferent to others in real life too and she retorts, "I hope not! People who are close to me, including my husband, know that I am completely opposite to the character I portray." She further adds, "I am a simple girl, neither selfish nor money-minded. I would never be in a situation like Pia. Very often, I ask myself how Pia can do this. I even get mails begging me to leave Jai Walia."

Convincingly conniving
Roshni prepares for her character by having innumerous brainstorming session with people on the sets including the make-up artists. "It is very difficult to play a character like Pia. She is my opposite," quips Roshni.

No wonder she gets ample compliments from her fans. "People tell me that it is unbelievable how convincing I am. In fact, the other day even Ram told me that if he had ever been asked to play Pia, he'd never be able to do it," Roshni says.

Multi-faceted
This year apart from hosting shows on 'Cinemascope' (Zee Music), Roshni is also doing a role in Pawan Kaul's next film 'Brahm'. "I'm not looking for lead roles rather challenging ones," she says. "I enjoy hosting and acting. While hosting I am being myself. While acting you are playing someone else; it's crazy and completely out-of-the-box," she elaborates.

Roshni's also interested in photography and writing. She even intends tapping her singing talent which she left way back in school.

Just married
The actor, who has recently got married says, "Life hasn't changed much. I'm still working the same hours. The positive thing is that I get to share my life with someone."

I must say she's praising herself too much! No offense, just the feeling I had when I was reading the article. 😊
