Is Sonali really a homely girl?

The obvious reason for UB's yearnings to make Sonali her bahu is nothing but due to her bitter hatred towards CC. In other words, she wants a bahu that will worship her unlike, CC who is a modernised individual. In addition, her first meeting with CC was not a great start.

However,...

Sonali does not seem dumb like Ranjanna or Sanjana. She can speak English. In addition, she does not look very homely for e.g. she does not wear a saree. Perhaps, she is not really bothered with bringing a traditional bahu into the house but just does not want CC to be her bahu.

Say for example, UB wins in her mission to convince Manav in marrying Sonali ( that is highly impossible) Would dadaji allow that to happen? I reckon he would not, for the simplest reason that he respects 'marriage.' He hangs around with his wife's ashes all the time to create that feeling that she is always with him,which just shows how much 'love' means to him and how much he respects 'marriage.' Will he allow such disasters to take place in the family?

Something is telling me that he will be the person to collapse UB's dreams...I might be wrong...I just wanted to share my ideas with you...

With Chhanchhan she not only has ego issues, she did not get any dowry either. Plus Chhanchhan is not afraid of UB and will not compromise on her values. UB also holds Chhanchhan responsible for her public humiliation at Purvis' s wedding. There are many negatives attached to Chhanchhan. Finally, it's human nature once you decide to hate someone, everything about them seems bad and you can't see one redeemable quality. Same here with UB, she dislikes Chhanchhan so much that she blinded to all her good qualities and UB is also not thinking of the hurt it will cause her son. She feels Manav will be saved in the long run.

I think Dadaji will be the counter influence to whatever storm Sonali and UB will bring to ChhanMan's relation. He will support the young couple...but Chhanchhan will have to fight this battle on her own in the long run and win.

Hypothetically, even if Manav marries her, she could do a complete turn around and be a nightmare for UB!!

She can pretend to do what UB wants now and after marriage, she can change completely. And since she's not as considerate as Chhan Chhan, she couldn't care less who she hurts, as long as she is married to Manav. And UB would be able to do nothing, since how many times can she get rid of the girl and always blame the girl? Then her reputation would be in shreds. Hypothetically speaking! Of course, it's not gonna happen like that! Manav will never agree to her plans, no matter what.

@showviewer - you are right, Chhan Chhan is on her own this time. From Precap, it is obvious Manav is not going to support her in this issue. She will have to find the strength within herself and look to others in the Borasagar household to help her. Dadaji will be her staunchest supporter, but it will take a while. (cf Nishi's post.)

Im quite sure Dadaji will play a vital role in CC's favour ..

I kind of dont have faith in Manav now ..
