Shahid at Sriram's engagement

Even though Shahid Kapoor has been wrapped up with shooting schedules, the actor ensured that he took some time off to be present at his best bud, Sriram's, engagement in Hyderabad recently.

Shahid and Sriram go way back, about 18 years – the two used to study together in Mumbai, and have managed to stay the best of friends ever since. Shahid, we hear, was very happy to hear about Sriram's engagement, and immediately spoke to his directors and co-stars to figure out his schedule. Even though he could only make it for a day, he made sure to be there for Sriram and his family.

In fact, we're told that Shahid shares a great relationship with many of his friends outside of the film fraternity. He prefers spending time with them over industry friends, as he's much more comfortable and can speak about anything without having to think about it twice.
