Finally the prediction made by some of the members was confirmed by the CVs.
Kumud is loyal to her husband not because she loves him but because her self-respect is at stake!
Kumud is not fighting to gain her husband's love. Kumud is not fighting to save her marriage. Kumud is fighting to save her image in society!
The very self-respect and societal image she is so concerned about will be dragged in the mud by her husband. But she is too young to forsee how life will work out if she stubbornly sticks to Pramad and does not inform both his and her family members. She is not aware that her small verbal victories will only lead to more humiliation and pain. In the end she will lose her self-worth and dignity.
The CVs are not following the book with respect to location (Dubai instead of Mumbai) and period(computer/electronic age instead of yesteryear snail mail). So why cannot they show a woman embracing righteousness and standing up for her dignity instead of falling prey to male domination in the name of societal image?
