She was born on 18th July 1982
She is the Winner of the Miss World pageant of 2000 and Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty-Asia & Oceania.
Her debut was a Tamil Film called Thamizhan while her Bollywood Debut was with The Hero: both in 2003.
She is also known as the Desi Girl of Bollywood (Song from her Movie Dostana) and Piggy Chops for her family & friends.
In 2010, she hosted the third Season of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi on Colors Tv.
She began writing an opinion column, "The Priyanka Chopra Column", for the Hindustan Times in 2009.
She has participated in many activities, campaigns regarding women issues, Children's rights and the Educations of Girls. She appeared in charities too.
She adopted tigress in 2011 and a lioness in 2012 at the Birsa biological park.
She is a singer too! Her main vocal influence was her father, who she said was "an incredible singer", and helped develop her interest in singing. Her first song "In My City" just released and currently, the actress is working for an album collaborating with Sam Watters, Matthew Koma and Jay Sean.
Her father Ashok Chopra, who also manages her career, was diagnosed with a tumor in his liver. He had to undergo a complicated emergency surgery and passed away on 10th June 2013. After few days, she shared a poem in her father's memory:

She has a brother named Siddhart and Parineeti Chopra is her cousin.
Her hobbies are singing and writing poems.
Her favourite food is Lasagna, Makki di Roti & Sarson da Saag.
She is the Asia's sexiest Women according to the UK Magazine Eastern Eye.
