Guys. Can we please, pretty please, mail Balaji telefilms with a suggested name-change? It solves all the problems. And I hate living in apprehension like this. How can someone develop an attachment to a show, if we are constantly aware of the fact that it can end at any time? Who else is with me? I am sick of worrying over the longevity of the show. A mass-mail and a spamming of their twitter feeds with our suggestions may help the show.

I don't think its to do with the name. They will have to show Jodha as a Hindu princess, but not a rajput one. I'm sure Ekta is well equipped to handle the situation. She knew that there would be a problem, didn't she? It happened during the movie as well. Consider the amount of money that has been spent on the show.

And since people tend to believe I am overreacting, here is a bit of information. The talks about the closing down of the show is also going on in some of my familiar Muslim communities, they find it hard to watch the portrayal of Akbar as a semi-villain apparently. The show is standing on a very sensitive point. If it gets even a little less trp at any point of time, Zee is likely to close it down. And with bans and protests, people will not watch the show enough to raise trps. Hence, I stand still on my point of a name-change. Why can't we watch a show without constant fear? And Balaji tends to listen to people. So, perhaps our voices will get through to them.

Of course. If they change Jodha to a normal hindu princess, the show won't be affected at all. That seems easy enough. And I don't think anybody will go too far to save a tv show. Even Ekta. Yes, her Mahabharat was criticized, but there were no national protests about it. The protests surrounding this show are only affecting it negatively. And people also protested against Bairi Piya, and she changed the plot immediately. Why can't she do the same thing here? Only with the names? And well, backgrounds.
