The film was good. The film was unanimously loved by all the major critics (happens to very, very few films). So of course they're going to celebrate. I don't think anyone is in denial about the fact that Lootera tanked. It did badly at the Box office, everyone gets this. However, there's nothing appalling about celebrating the end of a good film. Now, if people started celebrating the disastrous outcome of Himmatwala, Ghanchakkar etc, then I'd laugh my ass off because films like these were trashed by both junta and critics even though they were EXPECTED/PREDICTED to work for either the critics or the junta.
