Chapter 4
Curiously, Antara walked towards the direction of the suspicious sound. Her whole body was paralysed from what she saw.
Boom!
Another punch hit the abdomen of the unfortunate victim Raghu currently stood in front of, the victim groaned in agony.
As Antara moved closer, she couldn't recognise the man who was being beaten. His face was swollen and covered in blood, his clothes were drenched in sweat caused by his fear.
Raghu let go of the man's collar and the man collapsed onto the ground like dead weight.
Just as Raghu was about to kick the poor man, Antara rushed to stand between the man and Raghu.
"Move." Raghu commanded. His eyebrows almost meshing together as one.
"Why are you beating him up liking this?"
"I said move." His murderously low voice echoed around the confinement of the garage, making shivers run up Antara's back. The infuriating eyes of Raghu never moved from the unconscious and lifeless body on the ground.
"Your going to kill him." She whispered loud enough for him to hear.
"And?" Raghu growled impatiently.
"Please stop." She begged making him look at her eyes filled with tears. His eyes softened ever so slightly.
"Do know why this man is here?"
Antara shook her head.
"He is the one who ran over your brother."
Antara was shocked to say the least. Why would he hurt this man? It's not like he hurt him, she thought.
"And what exactly gives you the right to beat him up?"
"Look if anyone hurt any child living in this chawl, I will leave their remains on the street as a lesson for others."
"Neither my brother nor my family want you to hurt somebody for our sake. Hurting a person does not mean they will stop. You must be crazy if you think this is the right way. You've probably heard the saying treat others the way you want to be treated."
He rolled his eyes.
"Princess, open your eyes. This is reality, not the dream world where everything you think is going to come true."
"Please let this man go. He probably have a family; a wife, perhaps a child, a father or a mother that he may need to provide for. He wouldn't run over a child he didn't know on purpose."
"If he cared for his family he should have been careful -"
"I know your not going to change your mind but what if somebody you loved was being beaten up. What would you do then?"
Raghu stood staring at Antara, remembering his mother weak body lying on the bed. The one weakness he ever had.
"Fine." He said storming out of the garage.
"Raghu," Antara uttered.
He stopped, confused why he was so happy when she said his name.
"This man needs to be treated at a hospital." Antara said.
"So?"
"Take him to a hospital."
"Why?"
Antara who was now sick of Raghu's pathetic attitude toward other people retorted, "I don't know. He might die but that obviously doesn't seem to phase you."
"Your right. It's not my problem."
Antara blood seemed to boil at the nerve of this man.
"Look just get him to the hospital I'll take care of everything else."
"Fine." She heard him say before she walked off to her house to collect her bag and some food before leaving for the hospital.

At the hospital she paid for Ishaan's and the injured man's treatment from one of the accounts her father had set up for her.
Anatara signed the legal document after which, she made her way to the proom her brother was currently residing in.
The door was open.
Weird, Mamaji had left just after I came back. She thought.
She opened the door and was astonished by what her eyes portrayed.
Antara's head swam in a sea of questions.
What was Raghu doing here? Why was he stroking Ishaan's head as though he cared about him?
Raghu didn't seem as bad as I thought, Antara mentally pointed out to herself.
Okay so that is it.
How was it.
