I too said the same thing, that if she had told her father situation would have been controlled.
Well he did beat him in the episode after chasing along with the police. I would be surprised if he did not. If she had complained to her dad along with the police complaint for eve teasing, he would have definitely slapped and threatened him. That would have definitely helped. They would be on guard in case Manoj resorts to any further menace.
