He is gone completely mad, how can he propose a married woman, that he knows she is madly in love with her husband. This is not love this is lust. There is saying Kaamaturanam na bhayam na lajja. That means when lust conquers someone's mind there will be no fear or shame. Same is in the case of sultan. He is not thinking about his own son Aryan.

when was he ever sane ? he's never come off as a person with brains or intelligent foresight. he was bound to slip up and reveal his true colors eventually

Hii , I m a silent reader in this forum . I m a huge fan of vivian & saw his every shows..but my favt. is Pyaar ki yeh ek kahani.
BTW as far as sultan is concerned , he was never sane...
