Hanuman is ansh avatar of Mahadev and only with his help can Ram defeat or kill Ravana. Thanks to Narada's curse to Vishnu that a vanar will come to his rescue and help him defeat or kill his enemy. Once narada realises that his mistake of cursing Vishnu, he apologises to him but Vishnu is happy that he cursed because only Mahadev can help him and he is the one who would come in Hanuman (ansh avatar) avatar to his rescue.

Whether it is Ramayana or Mahabaratha, Mahadev and Vishnu's role is very pivotal, without them it would've never got over. In Mahabarath when Krishna chooses to be the sarathy, Hanuman voluneteers to guard the chariot in the form of symbol on the flag. Hence it was because of Vishnu and Hanuman that Arjuna was victorious.

Once Narada falls for King Sheelanidhi's daughter and he comes to know about her swayamvara. He rushes to Vishnu and asks "Hari pls make me like you so that King Sheelanidhi's daughter will choose him in the swayamvara. When he reaches there everyone will be surprised and laughing at as he'll have the face of a monkey. When he is ignored and shreemathi Chooses Vishnu, narada gets angry and curses Vishnu that even he'll be separated from his beloved and suffer the pain of losing his beloved and only a monkey wud come for his rescue and only monkeys army will help him through his phase. Vishnu happily agrees the curse. When Narada asks why did he give him a monkey face, Vishnu tells him, being a sanskrit scholar how did Narada forget that "Hari" also means monkey and as Vishnu was confused as to which Hari, he chose to give the other Hari (monkey) face.
