Seeing yesterday's teri meri in a new light

So i have read the views of so many members here about "Teri Meri dance sequence II" yesterday on how it lacked the intensity between asya, it was more mechanical and less of emotions and expressions, and it was bad choreography due to the PV 2 team. I have also read comments saying the purpose was just to be a filler asya scene as it attracts viewers and they wanted the MS to gain good TRP's...

But here's what I think :

If you compare yesterday's ASYA dance with all of their past dances :

1) Teri meri I - The dance that was initiated by asad as his desperate attempt to erase the slap memory and again establish a comfort level with zoya, the attraction between asad and zoe took that dance to a completely another level with raised heartbeats, breathlessness and shivers on being touched due to close proximity. For the first time, they behaved like a man and a woman who were attracted to each other. Point to be noted - asad took the lead!

2) Bol Na Halke Halke - Wow, can anyone forget about 'that' spectacular night? It was again Asad who initiated his move towards zoya, he got up to touch her dimple and followed her out in the rain. While standing far away from each other under the shed, it was asad who started moving towards zoya and made an attempt to touch her again. But zoya being zoya, played with him and teased him all along. Towards the end of the song, he made it very clear to her that he was attracted to her by pulling her sari, wrapping her with it and then touching her like she was made of glass. In the final shot, we see asad zoya moving together following the rhythm of their heart's music, hands intertwined and it is asad again who tries to kiss her with a look that says "i need it".

3) Ishq Hua - Although it was zoya's dream, she was still in the "I think I like Mr. Khan and everything that is happening seems right" stage still not aware of the depth of her own feelings. So we see a zoya with asad in her dreams, romantically dancing with again asad taking the lead. He romances her just like zoe has imagined her fairy tale prince to behave like, he pulls her, lifts her, holds her from behind, doesn't let her go away, makes her feel special, adores her *rubs his nose with her's* In short, a sweet romantic dance where asad is the one romancing zoya and thats how zoya wants it.

4) Dance rehearsals with idli ki kasam - All though they both followed dance steps as part of the rehearsal, zoya was enjoying asad's dominance in the dance. The way he was leading her, picking her up with her shoulders and spinning her in circles just like a couple does it.

5) Sun zara on sangeet - That dance highlighted Asad's love for the first time. Until then, the dance showed passion( teri meri), attraction( bol na halke halke) but this was the first time asad expressed his LOVE for zoya through his dance. This was the first time he was not trying to hold back his emotions during the dance. He went all out with his expressions, his moves, his lifts - holding zoya in the most romantic way possible, asking her to listen to what he wants to say through the lyrics of the song. He caressed zoya's face, smiled at her throughout the dance with love in his eyes, touched her arm lovingly going from her hands to her shoulder.

6) The dance on their first date - It was again asad who danced seductively with zoe, twisting and turning her in the some of the most intimate positions, held her so close that their breaths intermingled, looked at her like a man who was head over heels in love with her and wanted her more than anything.

Now coming to the latest dance sequence, if you see it properly, you will realize that this was the first time when it was Zoe romancing and loving asad through her dance, this was the first time it was zoe who was taking the lead by caressing asad's face, by running and hugging him from behind, by responding to asad's touch more openly, by completely accepting asad as her man only because she has finally accepted it aloud that she is in love with her Mr. Khan. So even though a filler, for the first time Zoe expressed her love for Asad in their dance without any hesitation, without any second thoughts about her feelings for asad, with complete knowledge that she belongs to him and only him. And we see asad as a man who wants zoe to love him, care for him, pamper him to make him forget all his pain and anguish. He himself wants zoya to take the lead coz he is broken and wants zoya to make him alive again. Asad wasn't being akdu imo, he is just too broken to express anymore. He needs to be alive to do it, and only zoya can give him his life back by giving herself to him
