Bollywood's uncreativity with climax's?

If there is one thing that really annoys me about Bollywood films, its mostly the ending.

I feel as though, even though we have all these new directors they are scared to take that risk of a edgy ending.

For example recently, I personally would have loved YJHD, if Ranbir-Deepika didn't get together in the end, or if he was rejected by her. What girl nowadays waits that long for a guy anyway lol, But not hey had to go for the "safe" route.

What are your thoughts on other movie endings that didn't quite satisfy you?

That's exactly why I really liked Ek Main Aur Ek Tu. The ending was so unconventional and, well, realistic. Just because you really love someone doesn't mean they're going to feel the same way. And that also doesn't mean that you can't be friends. And I love that the film showed that in such a real way.

But unfortunately, these endings don't work with the audience. The public wants to see happy endings and I feel like unconventional/sad endings (especially when it comes to love stories) don't really work in Bollywood.
